The sky above roared ominously with dark clouds, and rain fell like a devastating storm across the landscape.

The City located close to the ocean, had been battered repeatedly by the relentless downpour. The continuous low atmospheric pressure caused pedestrians on the streets to hurry along with urgent steps, while major entertainnt venues stood completely empty. Although no actual disaster had occurred yet, the police and ergency rescue phone lines in the City had been overwheld with calls.

"Can soone please tell what exactly happened out there?" the Mayor demanded from his position at the ergency relief command center.

"Mr. Mayor, at 2:13 PM, a large number of tourists reported witnessing a thousand-ter-tall humanoid monster appearing along the coastline, followed imdiately by this heavy rainfall," the official in charge stood up and reported the situation. "While we lack clear satellite imagery, the humanoid monster definitely exists, and our estimates place it only twenty kiloters away from our city."

"A humanoid monster that asures a thousand ters in height? Could it possibly be a Pokemon?" the Mayor asked, his brow furrowing with deep concern. With such an enormous body size, he feared that even a normal Pokemon wouldn't grow so massive when undergoing Dynamax transformation.

Could this creature be one of those Pokemon that existed only in ancient legends?

Legendary Pokemon were often capable of affecting weather patterns across vast regions.

This possibility aligned perfectly with the torrential rain currently drenching Qingping City.

"Where is Gym Leader Zachariah right now?" the Mayor inquired. When dealing with Pokemon-related incidents, it was essential to find a qualified professional to handle the situation properly.

"All eighteen staff mbers from Gym have already departed for the scene and should be arriving there now."

Zachariah had indeed rushed to the reported location and encountered the thousand-ter demon god that the frightened tourists had described.

However, what he witnessed was both the most powerful and ferocious demon god imaginable, and also its final monts of existence.

On the dark, turbulent sea, massive waves churned violently in every direction.

Countless giant ghostly heads flew through the sky in endless numbers, while the six-ard demon god continuously swung the Guan Dao weapons in its hands. Despite its desperate efforts, it could only manage to cut down a small fraction of the spectral attackers. Most of the strange heads successfully rushed into the demon god's body, biting and tearing at the entity's armor until the mighty demon god completely collapsed into nothingness.

"What... what in the world are these Pokemon supposed to be?" gaped with his mouth hanging wide open, staring in complete bewildernt at the supernatural spectacle.

He dared to swear by his position as a certified Gym Trainer that these Pokemon appearing before his eyes did not exist in any known Pokedex, and furthermore, they didn't even appear in any of the legends he had studied throughout his career.

"Hey there, stay back! This isn't sothing that ordinary people should get close to," a voice with a slightly arrogant tone suddenly called out.

During his journey to reach this location, Zachariah had encountered many curious trainers who wanted to join the excitent, and he had "persuaded" every single one of them to return ho for their own safety.

Hearing soone dare to tell him to stay away, Zachariah was just about to yell angrily at the presumptuous speaker, but an aged yet intimidating face appeared in the corner of his vision.

"Elite Victor!" Zachariah exclaid in startled recognition.

How could one of the Elite Four possibly be present at this location? He hurriedly patted his Flygon underneath him, signaling the Dragon-type Pokemon to fly in Elite Victor's direction.

"Elite Victor, I am the official Gym Trainer stationed in the City!" Zachariah called out respectfully as he approached.

Victor glanced briefly at Zachariah but didn't order him to leave the dangerous area.

As he drew closer, Zachariah discovered that not only was Elite Victor present, but another mber of the Elite Four was also there—Tate.

"Elite Tate..." Zachariah hurriedly offered his greetings, then asked cautiously, "Your Excellency, could you please explain what exactly happened here?"

To demonstrate that he had no intention of causing any disturbance, he quickly added, "Tourists reported seeing a thousand-ter demon god appearing over the ocean, and heavy rain began falling suddenly afterward. Qingping City has already activated its disaster ergency response plan, so they sent here to investigate the situation."

"The celestial phenonon's influence has reached a city more than twenty kiloters away?" Victor asked in obvious astonishnt.

Tate chuckled with amusent, showing no surprise at the trendous scope of the supernatural event. "Go back and cancel that disaster ergency plan imdiately. This isn't a major catastrophe—it's simply a showdown taking place during our Elite Four eting."

Victor cast a sideways glance at Tate, thinking to himself that when it ca to showing off, Tate remained unmatched in his abilities.

Zachariah's eyelids twitched uncontrollably at this revelation.

An Elite Four eting? Wasn't that the annual internal battle tournant held exclusively among the Elite Four mbers?

So the terrifying supernatural montum he had witnessed earlier was actually caused by a battle between two Elite Four trainers?

The power displayed was truly frightening beyond imagination!

Since Elite Four mbers Victor and Tate were standing on the periphery without participating in the actual combat, that ant the trainers currently engaged in battle must be...

The newly promoted "Shiny Elite" Chris and the Elite Four candidate most likely to succeed, "King of Underworld" Roy?

Zachariah couldn't help but cast a searching gaze toward the dark, stormy sea ahead.

Out on the dark ocean waters, the epic battle between the opposing Gengar had finally reached its conclusion.

Chris's King of Gengar floated serenely in mid-air. The Dynamax transformation had been released, and the GA Evolution had also been deactivated, but the Ghost-type Pokemon was still grinning widely with an expression of triumphant satisfaction.

anwhile, Roy's Gengar had also completed the release of both its Dynamax transformation and GA Evolution. Its body floated motionlessly in the air, clearly powerless and defeated. The thousand-ter-tall Shadow with six arms had collapsed like ancient dust, scattering completely into the endless dark sea below.

Both sides had fought their decisive battle using their most powerful ultimate moves, and in the end, Chris's King of Gengar had proven superior in every way.

Even though Roy's ga Gengar demonstrated mastery of all kinds of devastating Ghost-type ultimate techniques, Chris's Gengar had managed to overco all varieties of complex strategies through sheer overwhelming force.

The trainers from both sides stood floating at safe distances from the battlefield, and they had all witnessed the sa decisive result.

Chris heaved a trendous sigh of relief at the outco.

Senior Roy had provided him with far too many unexpected "surprises" throughout their battle, and even with the "resonance stone" serving as his ultimate trump card technique, he hadn't been completely confident of victory.

Fortunately, he had managed to win this crucial battle.

Fortunately, he had obtained the powerful resonance stone beforehand.

Without that decisive advantage, defeating Senior Roy's expertly trained ga Gengar would have required him to deploy other mbers of his main Pokemon team.

Roy stood motionless in mid-air with a completely dazed expression covering his face.

After a long period of stunned silence, he finally retrieved his Poke Ball and recalled his Gengar, who had clearly lost all ability to continue fighting.

Then he directed his faithful Mismagius to carry him away in the direction of the distant capital city.

Chris stared blankly as his respected senior departed the battlefield. "Wait... isn't there supposed to be so kind of final showdown ceremony?"

No one answered Chris's confused question, and no one stepped forward to announce the official final result of the match. This was because the automated referee robot, which had been specially designed to withstand destruction from Champion-level Pokemon attacks, had been completely obliterated during the intense supernatural battle.

"Young Chris, that was absolutely amazing! This is the first ti I've ever seen a veteran Elite Four mber whose ntality has been completely shattered like that!" Victor called out as he descended from his position in the sky.

As an experienced older man, it would be perfectly normal for an Elite Four mber nearing the end of his career to suffer defeat at Chris's hands. However, when Roy—an ambitious Elite Four mber who claid to be the most likely candidate to challenge for the Championship title—was defeated by a newly promoted Elite like Chris using the exact sa species of Pokemon, well...

"His ntality has been completely broken?" Chris asked with genuine concern.

"Of course it has," Victor replied matter-of-factly. "Being defeated by a newcor in the field he takes the most pride in, using the sa trump card Pokemon species as himself—no matter who you substituted in that situation, their ntal state would collapse entirely."

Tate felt genuinely glad that his primary rival wasn't Chris in this tournant.

He was well aware that when Chris first beca a trainer, his very first Pokemon had been a Torchic. If Chris had managed to defeat him using a Blaziken in battle, well... the thought made him shudder.

Chris scratched his head uncertainly, wondering if the situation was really that serious. If he had known this duel would have such psychological consequences, he wouldn't have chosen to use his Gengar in the first place.

"Don't worry too much about it," Tate reassured him with a casual wave. "Roy is already an established Elite Four mber, so his ntal quality won't be permanently damaged. He should recover completely within a few days and be back to his normal self."
