Nine o'clock in the morning.

Chris, freshly showered with his hair still damp, changed into comfortable casual clothes and headed downstairs. With no challengers scheduled for today, he anticipated another leisurely day ahead.

In the living room, Delibird flew in through the window with a white cloth bag strapped to its back. It had been wandering around the ranch since early morning, distributing Pokéblocks to the various Pokémon living there.

Chris accepted the stead bread and milk that Gardevoir offered him.

While eating his breakfast, he made his way to the backyard where the daily Pokémon training had already begun.

He stopped in front of Greninja. Just a few days ago, it had mastered "Aura Sphere," and judging from the speed at which it had learned the move, its talent for manipulating aura energy seed quite promising.

"Try to condense the Aura Sphere at the slowest possible speed," Chris instructed Greninja.

"Gre-ninja!" Greninja agreed, raising its hand as light blue energy began to flow around its palm.

Soon the energy gradually condensed into a solid form until it shaped into a light blue orb, though this wasn't the complete version of Aura Sphere. When thrown, this imperfect sphere would gradually collapse during flight.

To ensure it wouldn't dissipate before hitting an opponent, the sphere needed to be compressed.

The process required reducing the Aura Sphere's volu through compression, then adding aura force, followed by further compression until it beca dense enough to maintain stability during flight.

Pokémon could compress Aura Spheres different numbers of tis according to their mastery of the move. The more compressions applied, the more powerful the Aura Sphere would beco.

To prevent the aura energy from collapsing entirely, it had to be compressed at least three tis!

In Chris's current Pokémon lineup, four had mastered "Aura Sphere": Hariyama, Greninja, Blaziken, and Vigoroth.

As an experienced Fighting-type who had mastered aura energy for a long ti, Hariyama could compress its Aura Sphere up to eight tis. Greninja could manage five compressions, while Blaziken and Vigoroth barely reached the minimum threshold of three compressions.

"Try condensing the Aura Sphere using a spiral pattern," Chris suggested thoughtfully.

Greninja imdiately furrowed its brow in concentration.

The challenge was to guide aura energy from all directions to gather in a spiral formation within its palm.

Almost instantly, twisting tendrils appeared on the surface of the Aura Sphere in Greninja's hand, making the sphere itself resemble a vortex that continuously absorbed aura energy from the surrounding air.

"Now try to compress and control it!" Chris instructed.

Greninja nodded, already attempting to do exactly that.

While the Aura Sphere maintained its spherical shape rather than becoming a vertical twister, it appeared deceptively stable and calm as it constantly absorbed aura from the environnt.

In reality, the aura forces inside were rotating chaotically.

If not for Greninja's careful control, the sphere would have already exploded.

As for the compression aspect—it continuously absorbed external aura energy without increasing in volu. So where did all that additional energy go?

Naturally, it compressed within the sphere itself.

"Throw it and let's see what happens," Chris said.

Greninja imdiately raised its arm and hurled the Aura Sphere into the distance.

The sphere traveled barely three ters before the compressed aura energy suddenly erupted in mid-air. The explosive impact surged back toward Chris's face.

Before Chris could brace himself, Gardevoir had already teleported in front of him, clasped its hands together, and created a "Protect" barrier to shield him.

"BANG!" Even the protective shield created by Protect shattered under the force.

Fortunately for Chris, the remaining energy manifested as just a cold gust of wind against his face.

"Gre-nin," Greninja scratched its head in embarrassnt, realizing its negligence had nearly injured its Trainer.

"It's okay," Chris said, more excited than concerned.

The spirally compressed aura proved more difficult to control than ordinary aura energy. It naturally exploded after traveling a certain distance from Greninja, lacking the stability of a standard Aura Sphere.

However, the power of this spiral-compressed Aura Sphere was at least twice that of a normal one!

At the explosion site—approximately five ters in front of Chris—the grass had completely vanished, leaving a significant crater in the ground. The damage pattern suggested an "erasing" effect on the landscape.

And remarkably, this spiral Aura Sphere had exploded in mid-air!

Its power was truly terrifying.

"Hariyama, co over and try this too!" Chris called to Hariyama, who had just finished its kitchen duties and removed its apron.

Hariyama perford the sa training exercise that Greninja had just completed.

Compared to Greninja, Hariyama mastered the spiral Aura Sphere with relative ease. After throwing it, the Fighting-type could even direct it with Lock-On precision like a normal Aura Sphere.

Upon impact—explosion with double the power!

"Impressive! I doubt many Pokémon could withstand your first attack with this move," Chris remarked with admiration.

With Hariyama wearing the "Black Belt" item, its first spiral Aura Sphere could likely achieve the destructive power equivalent to four of its regular Aura Spheres!

"Boss, there's a notice from the Trainer Association!" Wanda called from inside the house.

"Okay, I'll be right there," Chris replied, though he had originally planned to coach Blaziken and Vigoroth next.

"You two, please teach Blaziken and Vigoroth what we just practiced," Chris instructed Greninja and Hariyama before walking back into the house.

The training thod they had just explored was inspired by the "Rasengan" technique from an ani called "Naruto" that Chris had watched before his ti travel.

Chris had always felt that aura power shared many similarities with chakra.

Not just in color—both represented fundantal energies of the world. Both were naturally mild energies that could incorporate other elents. Both offered versatile applications, including offense, defense, healing, detection, and amplification.

That's why Chris wanted Greninja to attempt learning the "spiral sphere"—after all, the frog Pokémon was also a ninja!

If successful, this technique could provide Greninja with a developntal path for a long ti, potentially even establishing a training route to elevate it to "champion" or even "master" level.

Standard spiral spheres were just the foundation; stronger variations could be developed in the future.

Perhaps a spiral shuriken? Or a giant spiral sphere?

Back in the house, Wanda maintained her professional deanor, dressed in business attire with a tablet in hand.

"What notice did the Trainer Association send?" Chris inquired.

"The annual Gym Trainer eting is about to begin. You've been invited to attend at the Trainer Association headquarters in Capital City in three days' ti."
