"Shaymin? That dirty little thing… is actually the extrely rare Pokémon Shaymin?"

Dawn gasped in surprise as she and Ash walked over.

Ash, on the other hand, wasn't surprised in the slightest.

In fact, he was looking forward to this.

So it's finally starting… this storyline.

Giratina… the master of the Reverse World... I've been waiting to face it.

Ash's heart beat faster with excitent.

Shaymin, upon seeing people approaching, began to tremble atop the table, its tiny body quivering—clearly afraid.

But when it realized that Ash and the others weren't chasing it away, it gained a bit more courage and continued nibbling at the food on the table.

Ash, Dawn, and Anabel released their Pokémon so they could enjoy lunch as well.

Thanks to Shaymin's surprise visit, Anabel went back to prepare extra food for everyone.

Even though Shaymin was known as the Gratitude Pokémon, this one was particularly haughty and tsundere.

It shook off the dust from its body—sending a cloud of dirt flying everywhere.

Dawn quickly brought it to rinse off in clean water.

But right after they returned, Shaymin started shaking off the water from its fur like a wet puppy.

"Ah! That water must've been too cold. Shaymin doesn't like cold water, does it?"

Telepathy?

Another telepathic Pokémon?

Dawn was delighted. Her eyes lit up with surprise and joy.

Once Shaymin was cleaned up, it looked absolutely adorable again.

Soon, Anabel finished preparing lunch, and the three of them began to eat.

Shaymin didn't leave—it sat beside Dawn on the table, munching along.

"You guys better eat up! Once you're done, help Shaymin get back to the flower field. Shaymin must return to the flower field, okay!"

Shaymin suddenly spoke via telepathy.

Its tone was brash, sharp, and completely lacking gratitude.

Ash wasn't like the Ash from the original story.

While Dawn tried to patiently understand what Shaymin wanted, Ash had had enough.

He reached out and pinched Shaymin by the scruff of its neck, lifting it like a kitten.

"Shaymin, you call yourself the Gratitude Pokémon, but you clearly don't understand the aning of the word 'gratitude.' Anabel made you lunch. Dawn gave you a bath. You can communicate telepathically, yet you didn't even say thank you to them. Honestly, I suspect you're a fake Shaymin."

Ash delivered the entire statent in one breath.

In the original tiline, he had found this Shaymin incredibly irritating—acting self-important, rude, and excusing it all with a "tsundere" attitude.

This ti, he wasn't letting it slide.

"Pika pika!"

"Piplup!"

"Buneary!"

"Gible!"

One by one, the Pokémon all chid in, voicing their support for Ash.

After all, Shaymin had helped itself to their food without a single word.

It wasn't a big deal—they weren't mad about the food—but it was the lack of manners that got to them.

"Shaymin doesn't care! Shaymin has to go to the flower field! Take Shaymin there now!"

Shaymin flailed its tiny legs helplessly as Ash held it aloft, trying to wriggle free.

Ash stood firm.

"You're hurting Shaymin! Let Shaymin go! Shaymin is so cute, and you're being so an!"

The voice echoed in their minds—Shaymin's telepathy refusing to shut up.

Dawn, feeling a little guilty, moved to help it—but Ash stopped her with just a look.

"Being cute is a gift, sure. But it's not a license to be a brat."

"Uuuhh… Shaymin gets it now… Thank you, Anabel, for the lunch… Thank you, Dawn, for the bath…"

Shaymin finally caved, whispering its gratitude obediently.

Ash finally let go.

Dawn instantly scooped up the little Pokémon and asked gently, "Shaymin, what flower field were you talking about? What kind of flowers grow there?"

At last, Shaymin began to explain everything in earnest.

Its story left both Dawn and Anabel stunned.

After being sucked into the Reverse World during Giratina and Dialga's battle, Shaymin had accidentally absorbed toxins produced by the dinsion clashes.

This reaction triggered its Seed Flare move—one that had a strange synergy with the Reverse World.

The result?

A temporary rift, a spatial wormhole, through which Dialga escaped.

Before escaping, Dialga had used its ti powers to lock the flow of ti around Giratina's body—trapping it temporarily and preventing it from erging.

But Giratina, angered and unwilling to back down, grabbed Shaymin.

It used Shaymin's Seed Flare once more to forcibly open another wormhole, returning to the real world.

Shaymin misunderstood and thought Giratina wanted to eat it.

"Giratina wasn't trying to eat you—it needed your Seed Flare to return," Ash said, clapping the dust off his hands. "Alright then. Shaymin, let's get you to that flower field."

He turned to Dawn and Anabel with a smile.

"Let's go see the Glacidea Flower Field together. It's one of the most breathtaking sights in the whole world."

At the sa ti, high above in the sky—

A flying vessel soared across the clouds.

Inside sat a single man.

His na: Zero.

Using the vessel's advanced technology, Zero had just witnessed the battle between Giratina, Dialga, and Shaymin.

Zero once had a teacher: Professor Newton Graceland.

Professor Newton had been researching the Reverse World and developed a thod to access it by observing Giratina.

Years ago, Newton had nearly succeeded in replicating Giratina's ability to enter and exit the Reverse World freely.

But upon discovering that this would require sacrificing Giratina, Newton destroyed all the data and abandoned the project.

However…

Zero had already morized the entire design blueprint.

While Newton stayed behind to continue research in the Reverse World, Zero secretly began building the machine that would copy Giratina's abilities.

He succeeded.

To top it off, he created an artificial intelligence core to serve as the machine's operator.

Once the AI received a command, it would execute it flawlessly.

Zero had lost his sanity.

He didn't just want the Reverse World—he had beco obsessed with it.

Now, he was hunting for Shaymin.

If he could use Shaymin's Seed Flare again, he could break Dialga's ti seal on Giratina.

And once he captured Giratina…

He would copy its power.

And beco the new ruler of the Reverse World!
