"Is this really a battle between Pokémon?!"

Green scread in terror as a several-ter-long steel rebar plunged into the ground just two ters away from her. Watching it sink a full ter into the earth, she swallowed hard—if that had hit her, she would have died instantly from internal ruptures and massive bleeding.

Crouched in the ruins of a collapsed building, she peered through the gaps in the twisted tal frawork, her wide eyes fixed on the dazzling spectacle in the sky.

Even though she was a kiloter away from the two violet-glowing figures, even though she was hiding beneath hundreds of tons of rubble, Green felt no sense of safety. She and her Jigglypuff trembled, constantly scanning their surroundings, wary of the next deadly projectile that might rain from above. The ground quaked with each impact of concrete slabs—so weighing hundreds of kilograms, reinforced with steel rods—sending waves of primal fear through her.

If the larger debris could still be shattered midair by Wartortle's water jets, the slender steel rebars were far deadlier. Even Wartortle's precision couldn't intercept all of them.

What unfolded before Green was a battle unlike anything she had ever seen or imagined.

This wasn't a duel between Trainers on a neatly marked arena, where Pokémon exchanged orderly blows under their masters' commands. This wasn't a desperate escape from wild Pokémon in the wilderness, relying on quick thinking and strategy.

What raged above her head could no longer be called a battle—it was war.

A manifestation of myth. A descent of gods from ancient legends. A force akin to humanity's most devastating weapons of annihilation.

For the first ti, Green truly understood the helplessness of humans in the face of war. Against this cataclysmic power—capable of reshaping the earth and reducing all matter to nothingness—humanity's insignificance left her no choice but to cower in a corner, watching with terrified awe.

"How… did humans even survive?"

Green murmured the question aloud.

In her understanding, Pokémon coexisted peacefully with humans, but due to the gap in intellect, they were often treated more like pets. No matter how powerful they were, they still obeyed their Trainers—submitting to human authority.

But now, that belief had been shattered.

The mythic spectacle before her made her realize: in the eyes of these legendary Pokémon, humans held no exalted status. Against this apocalyptic force, the best humanity could do was exactly what she was doing—huddling in fear, praying for divine rcy.

No.

That wasn't entirely true.

Humans could command beings like gods. They could wage war against deities on equal footing.

Green's eyes glead as she watched the lone figure fighting amidst the violet storm. The atmosphere was so saturated with psychic energy that even attempting to flee now would be suicide—every particle in the air could trigger a catastrophic chain reaction.

This was Cerulean City's forr satellite town—a fully functional mini-city with sprawling industrial complexes. Now, it had beco a battlefield for two godlike Pokémon, reduced to ruins under their clash.

The sky twisted from psychic collisions. The earth erupted in chain explosions from stray energy blasts. Neither concrete nor steel could withstand this annihilating force—everything simply vanished without a trace.

The heavens wept. The earth scread.

A massive Pokémon stadium—reminiscent of ancient Roman coliseums, spanning thousands of square ters—stood as one of the ruins. Yet under the psychic clash between w and wtwo, the entire structure silently disintegrated into dust. Even the thousands of tons of derelict machinery now floated midair, wielded as indiscriminate weapons.

The sheer scale of their power made Green wonder: Could wtwo and w lift an entire island and turn it into a floating fortress?

"No wonder he laughed at . 'Catch w'? Surviving its wrath is already a miracle!"

Huddled in her hiding spot, Green recorded the unprecedented battle with her cara. Compared to the vast ruins, she was insignificant—so long as she stayed hidden, neither w nor wtwo would notice her.

"Team Rocket is terrifying. To think they could create such a monster… No wonder they're willing to pay any price to find w."

"But can they really replicate wtwo? Sothing like this can't be mass-produced, right?"

Green deeply doubted the feasibility of Team Rocket's ambitions. For humans to trespass into the domain of gods and succeed once was already an unimaginable miracle. Attempting it again would surely invite divine retribution.

Still, she couldn't help but admire Team Rocket's technological prowess. Maybe I should infiltrate their bases more often… see what else they've hidden.

The rumors linking Team Rocket to Silph Co. now seed undeniable. Silph Co. was the most advanced multinational tech conglorate in Kanto—perhaps the entire world. Only an organization of that scale could support Team Rocket's ambitions.

A Psycho Cut sliced through a skyscraper, the cross-section so clean it looked polished. With an ear-splitting screech, half the building slid free and crashed to the ground, shaking the earth and sending a dust cloud hundreds of ters high.

"There!"

By now, Ryuuske's consciousness had nearly rged with wtwo's. His perception expanded infinitely—even w's Teleport left traces he could predict.

In perfect sync, Ryuuske and wtwo raised their hands. The spoon in wtwo's grip elongated like the Ruyi Jingu Bang, stretching a hundred ters in an instant. w, having just teleported, had no ti to react.

"EEEW—!!"

A shrill cry tore through the air as the tiny creature was swatted away like a pebble hit by a freight train. Its body smashed through multiple buildings before finally embedding itself into a thick steel wall—leaving a massive dent.

w was no match for wtwo.

After twenty minutes of battle, Ryuuske was certain: no matter how esoteric w's psychic abilities were, no matter how godlike its power seed to humans—in raw combat, in sheer destructive force, wtwo was superior.

Team Rocket had succeeded. They had created humanity's most devastating war machine.

And yet, they had also failed—because that weapon had been stolen from them the mont it was born.

For over twenty minutes, w had been forced into evasion or outright tanking hits, barely able to fight back. Its versatile psychic powers were useless against wtwo, its combat prowess outclassed. It was completely suppressed.

If this continued, wtwo's victory was inevitable.

But—

'My body… can't hold on much longer.'

Ryuuske stared at his left arm, where his skin writhed unnaturally. A curse-like discoloration had spread past his shoulder. The pain, once bearable, now bordered on unbearable. Cold sweat drenched his forehead, his posture hunched from exhaustion.

Just as his focus wavered—

w, terrified from wtwo's last strike, unleashed a reflexive Psychic blast.

Linked to Ryuuske's mind, wtwo's reaction was delayed by his montary lapse.

By the ti they realized—

BOOOOOOM—!!

The sky turned violet from the explosion.

Ryuuske's body was sent flying like a cannonball, plumting straight toward the earth.
