Looking at the other party placing the bracelet embedded with the Key Stone and the ga Stone on the table, Terrance spoke, “Now can you answer my questions?”
“Sure,” Albus said with a smile.
“First, why did you seek
out?”
“Well, to be precise, we were looking for your Altaria. Our goal in finding Trainers is based on them having an exceptionally strong Altaria, not the Trainer themselves,” Albus replied.
“There are countless Trainers with an Altaria…”
“You’re right, but only a few of them are truly strong. As for those who fully et our criteria, there isn’t a single one yet,” Albus explained. “Before you, two Trainers passed the strength test, but neither of them could complete ga Evolution.”
“One of them had decent strength, but his relationship with his Pokémon could only be described as ordinary. He was completely unable to achieve the bond-dependent ga Evolution.”
“As for the other, while Altaria was the Pokémon he had raised the longest and was closest to, due to…” Albus picked up the ga Ring and continued, “There is sothing unusual about this device outside the Key Stone. During ga Evolution, it consus the Trainer’s physical and ntal strength. An ordinary Trainer simply can’t withstand the burden ga Evolution brings. That Trainer completely lost consciousness just as the two stones began to resonate.”
“What a pity.”
“That Altaria didn’t even get the chance to receive the power of ga Evolution.”
“Then does that an I can do it?” Terrance asked.
“We won’t know until we try. In the end, you are just one of our candidates, not the only option,” Albus said.
“Alright, I have a general understanding of ga Evolution now. But that’s not your ultimate goal, is it?”
“Is it for money? Or sothing else?” Terrance looked at them. “Are you planning to sell
the ga Evolution’s device?”
Albus quickly shook his head. “It’s not for money.”
“If we were selling it, there would be no need to seek out Trainers with an Altaria. We would have many more choices.”
Terrance fell silent. What Albus said was true. Items like ga Stones, even without a corresponding Trainer and Pokémon, would still be highly sought after by certain factions. With such an item, they could easily raise a powerful Trainer.
“To put it simply, if your Altaria can successfully undergo ga Evolution, you’ll be able to help us accomplish sothing. As for this evolution device, of course, it will be your reward.”
“It’s nothing that would endanger the world… Don’t overthink it, it’s just so personal matter of ours,” Albus said with a smile.
“Exchanging it for a full set of ga Evolution equipnt—there’s no deal more worthwhile than this.”
Though, Albus thought to himself, it’s not like we have anything else to offer…
“So easy?!” Terrance was shocked but quickly shook his head. Even though the other party made it sound simple, it definitely wasn’t. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have sought out so many Trainers with Altaria and still failed to achieve their goal. ????????Β??S
They hadn’t even managed to complete the very first step—achieving ga Evolution.
This was sothing Terrance needed to think about.
“You said that the ga Evolution process drains the Trainer’s physical and ntal strength, and that there was even a Trainer who lost consciousness… In other words, ga Evolution carries significant risks, right?” Terrance asked.
“I wouldn’t call it a risk. If ga Evolution truly posed a danger to its users, how could we be sitting here talking with you? We would have been arrested by the police long ago,” Albus said with a laugh.
“Besides, you don’t need to worry about any lasting effects from a failed ga Evolution. We’re certain this device doesn’t harm the human body. At most, it causes so fatigue, and a bit of rest is enough to recover. If we had any malicious intent, we wouldn’t have told you about these drawbacks.”
“Uh… But your concerns aren’t entirely unreasonable. If you’re worried, you can invite two trustworthy people to watch over you during the ga Evolution process. It’s not like we can run away. And do I look like a bad guy? I don’t, right?”
Throughout the conversation, it was Albus who kept speaking with Terrance, while Fujiki remained silent on the side.
“Even though you wouldn’t gain anything from a failed ga Evolution, there’s not much of a downside either. But if it succeeds… A full set of ga Evolution equipnt—doesn’t that tempt you?” Albus locked eyes with Terrance.
Terrance remained expressionless as he shook his head. “ga Evolution is sothing even the Pokémon League hasn’t fully recognized. Who knows what kind of secrets it might be hiding?”
“However…”
“I’ll consider your conditions. Tomorrow—give
one day. I’ll try ga Evolution tomorrow. That shouldn’t be a problem, right?”
“That’s fine.” Since they had already found a candidate, Albus didn’t mind waiting one more day. If they had to search for another suitable Trainer with an Altaria, who knew how long that would take?
“There are two final things. One of them is more of a personal question,” Terrance said slowly.
“Aura power… Being able to communicate with Pokémon without words is truly a convenient ability. What I want to ask is, is Aerodactyl your strongest Pokémon?”
Albus shook his head seriously. “My strongest partner is a Lucario.”
“The last question—what is the origin of that bracelet?”
For the ti being, Fujiki and Albus were still being accommodated at Fallarbor Gym. However, Terrance felt it was necessary to discuss this matter with Master Victor.
If ga Evolution had any side effects, the person Terrance could consult who had the most authority on the subject was undoubtedly Master Victor.
“Side effects? There haven’t been any precedents for that. But the device you ntioned outside the Key Stone… If there are side effects, that’s likely where they might originate from.”
“Normally, ga Evolution only requires a Key Stone and a ga Stone… The physical and ntal strength exhaustion you described is sowhat similar to Alola’s Z-Moves.”
“In any case, to prevent any unexpected incidents, I will head to Fallarbor Town. Just tell
the location.”
After making all the necessary arrangents with Master Victor, Terrance planned to test whether he and Altaria had what it took to achieve ga Evolution.
Right now, the progress of his Pokémon’s strength have sowhat stagnated. Aside from his ongoing research on totem aura, ga Evolution was sothing that greatly intrigued Terrance.
What kind of power would a ga Altaria with totem aura possess?
Would it have a chance to compete with the Elite Four’s main Pokémon, or even take down their ace?!
Of course, it was under the assumption that the opponent wasn’t using ga Evolution. But regardless, Terrance was excited about the unknown realm that lay ahead.
However, before that, he needed to make thorough preparations. With Master Victor supporting him, he could confidently proceed with the deal with Albus and Fujiki. If he succeeded, the benefits would be imasurable.
