Silas Hawthorne pushed Serena Sterling into her seat.

Serena smiled and said, "Ladies and gentlen, long ti no see."

Her gaze lingered on Desmond Wyatt’s face, and her smile deepened.

Everyone present had different expressions.

Most people were very welcoming to Serena, except those in the opposition had unpleasant expressions, especially Desmond Wyatt.

However, Serena didn’t care about any of that.

After taking their seats, the eting proceeded normally.

As usual, Silas Hawthorne led the discussion, covering many matters for the future.

It was a very routine eting.

However, with Serena present, everyone had different thoughts in their minds.

Serena didn’t make any statents, seemingly just there to participate.

But everyone knew that as long as she was there, everything was different.

The eting ended quickly.

Serena was wheeled back to the office by Silas Hawthorne.

As soon as they entered, Silas poured Serena a glass of warm water.

"Are you tired?" Silas asked, sitting beside her, and massaging her leg after she took the water.

Serena held Silas’s hand.

"I’m alright," she said softly, "With Raine by my side, I don’t feel tired."

Silas smiled, adjusting her fallen hair, and said, "Serena, I’ve been thinking, last ti our wedding was quite chaotic. Once you recover, shall we have another one?"

Serena rolled her eyes at him playfully.

"Aren’t you tired?" Serena said, "You have no idea. The night before the wedding, I was so restless that I woke Bianca up from her sleep, talking for hours. I couldn’t get up the next day, and she teased for a long ti."

Silas paused, then bent over, laughing.

Seeing him laugh like that, Serena felt a bit puzzled and poked his ticklish spot.

"What are you laughing at?" Serena asked, glaring at him.

"I was laughing..." Silas finally said after calming down, "Bianca was teasing you while telling you’d be grumpy from lack of sleep, and to be cautious. I was so nervous when I arrived to escort you."

Serena was surprised: "Really?"

Silas nodded emphatically, "I was so freaked out I gave her a big red envelope, asking her what to do."

Serena recalled the mischievous look on Bianca’s face when she handed her coffee, and her lips twitched.

"No wonder..." Serena said speechlessly.

After fooling around for a bit, Serena finally said, "Honestly, let’s not have a second one."

Silas looked at her.

Serena said, "Who holds two weddings at the sa place? And we already completed our ceremony."

She grasped his hand and said, "We’ve already pledged our lives to each other, Silas, we are already married."

Though so unfortunate events happened later.

But they indeed completed the ceremony.

Silas cupped her face with his hand.

He just wanted to give her a happy wedding, monts to cherish for years to co.

But it was her decision.

Silas nodded, "Alright, whatever you say."

Yet, he still wanted to give her sothing.

Perhaps, loving soone ans always feeling they deserve more, always wanting to give them the best.

The surprise he prepared for her that night, she didn’t get to see.

So...

Silas silently planned in his heart while Serena, seeing his expression, knew he was deep in thought.

She didn’t ask.

Because she knew whatever he prepared for her, she would love it.

He knew her well.

Serena leaned on Silas’s shoulder.

Looking at the bright sunny day outside, she felt good.

It was a rare peaceful afternoon.

The warm sun bathed her, giving a sense of happiness.

Not long after, Serena fell asleep.

Silas, seeing her like this, smiled, picked her up, and placed her on the bed in the partition to let her rest better.

...

Serena was awakened by a phone call.

Still a bit groggy when she woke up, she saw Silas on the other side, looking at her hearing the noise, and realized where she was.

She took out her phone, saw it was a call from Archie, and after thinking for a mont, she sat up and answered.

"Uncle Archie?" Serena said.

"It’s ," Archie replied, "How have you been feeling lately, Serena?"

Leaning against the side, Serena replied, "I’m recovering quite well."

Thinking, Serena asked, "Uncle Archie, is there sothing wrong?"

If it wasn’t urgent, Archie wouldn’t call her at this ti.

"Sigh..." Archie sighed deeply, "I’m sorry to bother you, but MKK’s situation isn’t good recently. SKR has expanded significantly and allied with so unknown forces..."

Archie elaborated on so matters.

The more Serena listened, the more her brows furrowed.

SKR was MKK’s long-ti rival, always evenly matched. For years, overseas, they were in a competitive state. How did SKR suddenly beco so active in the year she was in a coma?

"You’ve just woken up, and I shouldn’t disturb you, but so of your father’s immovable assets are still in MKK. If MKK..." Archie paused slightly, then continued, "Anyway, if SKR gains control, those assets will be in danger."

"I’ll send you detailed information. Please get back to as soon as possible," Archie said before hanging up.

Serena looked at the phone in her hand, lost in thought.

After a while, she noticed the couch beside her sink slightly, realizing Silas had co over.

"Is it about MKK?" Silas asked.

Serena nodded, looking him in the eye, "What’s going on?"

Silas thought for a bit and said, "I think it started about half a year ago, the two sides started clashing openly and secretly. It seems now SKR wants to swallow MKK."

"SKR’s allies this ti are quite extraordinary, including so royal mbers from Morova. That’s why MKK has been widely seeking help and reached out to us and The Lawson Corporation..."

Silas explained the general situation.

Serena nodded.

Reaching out to The Lawson Corporation was expected because when she was with The Lawson Corporation, there had been significant interactions with MKK.

But all of this was very strange.

Serena couldn’t think too much, so she grabbed a laptop to check the materials Archie had sent to her email.

The materials were extensive, with many data points and various scattered items. They seed like a whole, yet also felt disjointed.

But Serena read quickly.

Suddenly, she had a very strange feeling.

After thinking about it, she sent a ssage to Archie, asking him to organize and send her additional information.

"Uncle Archie, please send the information as soon as possible," Serena said.

"What’s wrong?" Silas asked as he saw Serena hang up.

Serena shook her head, looking out at the blue sky, lost in thought.
