"Wen Jiang?"
Chen Runyu was the most surprised. "What are you doing here?"
Wen Jiang greeted him, "I’m here to et my future new teammate."
Shi Qi exclaid, "You’re our new teammate, but aren’t you..." A B-Level Spirit Card Master?
Even Chen Shaoning couldn’t quite believe it. He looked incredulously at Tang Qian, and what he said carried significant weight, "You can’t seriously be thinking of letting her compete across ranks just because she can control twin cards, right?"
Tang Qian looked at him as if he were an idiot. "Wen Jiang is A-Level now!"
"A-Level?"
"Damn! How long has it even been for her to have leveled up?"
"She leveled up after that match?" Chen Runyu exclaid in admiration, "Wen Jiang, you’re truly amazing."
Although they already knew Wen Jiang was skilled at card-making and that leveling up was only a matter of ti, they hadn’t expected it to be so outrageously fast. For most people, leveling up within a few years was considered genius. Plenty spend their whole lives stuck at one level, toiling away until death.
The other three teammates were mostly shocked and astonished. The champion who had recently made waves in the B-Level competition had beco their teammate in the blink of an eye.
Glancing over the people present, Wen Jiang realized sothing when she saw Chen Shaoning’s unfriendly gaze. "Yo, looks like I’ve replaced soone’s spot, huh?"
Chen Shaoning’s face stiffened.
He stared at Wen Jiang with a peculiar expression, remarking sarcastically, "Just reached A-Level and you’re already playing in the first team’s group matches? Coach, have you even tested her before?"
Tang Qian said impatiently, "Like I said, if you have an issue, take it up with the leaders. This was their arrangent."
Chen Runyu was even more candid. "No need to test. Her strength is evident to all. She was that strong at B-Level; after moving up to A-Level, she can only be stronger."
The three teammates didn’t speak, but their expressions were thoughtful. It seed they found Chen Runyu’s words reasonable.
Wen Jiang looked at Chen Runyu with a smile.
Chen Runyu, for so reason, felt sowhat embarrassed and lowered his head. Strangely enough, he was older than Wen Jiang and had beco A-Level earlier. Logically, he should have been Wen Jiang’s senior, but in her presence, he always felt oddly inferior.
Chen Shaoning seed unwilling to let it go. "Regardless, she’s never faced off against . How can you know if she’s truly stronger without a test?"
Everyone looked at him, disdain subtly visible in their eyes.
Wen Jiang glanced at Chen Shaoning, her words ruthless, "Face you? Are you even worthy?"
"You..." Chen Shaoning’s face turned livid.
PFFT—
Several people couldn’t help but laugh.
"Ahem!" As the coach, Tang Qian still managed to maintain her composure and stepped in to smooth things over. "Wen Jiang, you should get to know the other team mbers for now. I’ll arrange a training session for you all in a bit. Chen Shaoning, you know the way to the second team, right? Or do you want to take you there?"
Chen Shaoning’s expression was clouded.
He glared fiercely at them before finally leaving.
He definitely wouldn’t let the matter rest. He was going to call his uncle for an explanation.
After he left, the atmosphere among them imdiately beca more harmonious. Shi Qi and the others greeted Wen Jiang warmly.
"Hello, I’m the assassin, Shi Qi."
"I’m the support, Ruan Chunen."
"I’m the controller, Dou Yuan."
Chen Runyu laughed heartily. "Wen Jiang, you know . I’m the damage dealer."
Wen Jiang nodded and greeted everyone. "Substitute, Wen Jiang."
Tang Qian also asked, "Wen Jiang, which cards do you specialize in at the mont?"
"This one, I just bought it." Wen Jiang then pulled out the Jade Rabbit pestle dicine Card without any hesitation. "I had already applied for other A-Rank Card Sets from the Card Association by the ti I arrived here. I’ll train in whatever you guys need. This particular one is a Healing Card I bought online—a new card. I think it’s pretty interesting."
When she took it out, Tang Qian’s eyebrow twitched. After they exchanged a look, they both tacitly averted their gazes.
This card of hers was intended for sale anyway. She was already arranging for Zero Egg to discuss it with various interested buyers. If all went well, it would be appearing all over the country by that afternoon, scattered like flowers by a Celestial Maiden. Her presenting it now wasn’t too conspicuous.
"Jade Rabbit Pestle dicine?" Shi Qi asked curiously. "The new card that ca out yesterday morning? I know about it. I thought the Card Maker wasn’t selling it. What effects does this card have?"
"Pestle dicine," Wen Jiang explained succinctly. "It’s a delayed-effect card that needs about 10 seconds of safety on the field. After 10 seconds, it produces a pill. If fed to a grievously injured Card Spirit on the verge of dispersal, the Card Spirit can imdiately return to its peak condition. I’ve calculated the timing. During a match, if I find an opportunity, I can cast it four to five tis consecutively. It’s like giving all Card Spirits a Resurrection BUFF."
Actually, it can do even more, but one shouldn’t appear too overwhelmingly strong, right?
Tang Qian knew this card was powerful, but upon hearing this, she was still shocked into silence. "Such a powerful card?"
"Damn, this card is *that* strong?" Ruan Chunen’s expression was even more excited. "Then, does that an this card can directly repair already damaged cards?"
You have to understand, for A-Rank Cards and above, the greatest fear is being hit by other Card Spirits to the point of complete dispersal. Repairing a card doesn’t just consu spiritual power; the higher the card’s rank, the harder it is to repair. There seems to be so mysterious factor involved, aning repairs have a chance of failure. Once a repair fails, it can inflict severe trauma on the Spirit Card Master. If this happens to a Spirit Card Master during a competition, it’s an absolute disaster.
Typically, the Card Association would arrange for other Spirit Card Masters to perform the repairs, or they would prepare several identical cards as backups.
But if a repair failed, a Spirit Card Master might need to rest for several days, which could eventually lead to a card supply shortage.
Therefore, A-Level Spirit Card Masters cannot afford to specialize in only one type of card.
Wen Jiang shook her head. "It won’t work on completely dispersed ones. After all, if the Card Spirit can’t even appear, the Healing Card loses its effect. It needs to be used in that precise instant. If you’re worried, you can administer the pill a bit earlier—overflow healing is also fine. The pill produced by Jade Rabbit lasts for one minute."
Tang Qian quickly realized the revolutionary aspect of this card. "A Divine Card! This is an A-Rank Divine Card!"
She muttered to herself, looking at Wen Jiang with an expression of utter disbelief, tinged with a sort of pained awe.
To think she’s willing to publicly release such a Divine Card online!
If this were the Noble Association, they would hoard it jealously for a lifeti!
Others might not yet grasp the full power of this card. However, once they possess it, players will likely try to include such a Healing Card in their decks for every match. The only exception would be facing an instakill team that directly destroys Card Spirits, rendering the Jade Rabbit card ineffective.
But without a doubt, this card could directly reshape the entire landscape of the Card World, significantly slowing the attrition rate of A-Rank Cards worldwide!
Everyone having one was practically inevitable.
And Chen Runyu, noticing Tang Qian’s expression, seed to understand sothing. For a mont, he too looked at Wen Jiang in disbelief.
She’s willing to release such a card for the benefit of the public... What does that signify? Wen Jiang is a Bodhisattva, a Living Bodhisattva walking among us!
