And the Thorn Corps’ archers? Fujero just shook his head.

This recent slaughter by the Minotaurs had thoroughly terrified most of the soldiers, who had never encountered such a ferocious race. The fact that they could continue to draw their bows and fire arrows, trembling all the while, was a testant to their training.

But it didn’t matter. As long as this contingent of Beastman Guards could hold out for a while, he could pull his soldiers back to defend.

This move had given him quite a scare, and he inwardly dismissed any contempt he’d had for these Wilderness Natives.

The Minotaurs, thinking a close-quarters battle was imminent, grew excited as they faced these obviously stronger Black Iron Canisters.

After all, slaughtering those humans had been as easy as crushing ants, and they had found it utterly boring.

But they had no idea that their nightmare was just beginning.

At a distance of about fifty paces, all the Barbarians stopped in unison. The great mouths on their faceplates split open, revealing cunning smiles.

’They had plenty of experience dealing with these big oafs.’

SWISH SWISH SWISH!

They reached to their waists, drew their Javelins, cocked their arms back, and threw with all their might.

In the blink of an eye, dozens of Fine Steel Javelins crossed the short distance, flying straight for the furious Minotaurs’ faces.

The Javelins were incredibly powerful. They instantly pierced the Minotaurs’ Iron Armor and sent their massive bodies flying backward. The beasts struggled on the ground, unable to get back up.

The Beastman Guards led by Levi were now all Tier Five. Blessed by the System Power, they had undergone a qualitative transformation and were no longer the bumpkin beastn of the Wilderness.

Their Power and speed now far surpassed that of the Minotaurs. Moreover, their Throwing skill had reached the Transformation Realm—they were accurate enough to kill a fleeing rabbit from fifty paces.

To say nothing of these tall, burly Minotaurs, who were no different from living targets.

A single volley of Javelins felled seven or eight of them.

The few Minotaurs who had luckily escaped the volley broke out in a cold sweat, their charge slowing involuntarily.

Before going Berserk, they were still capable of feeling fear.

’This squad is far tougher than we thought.’

"My War Axe was about to freeze solid, so this is the perfect chance to warm it up!" Zat roared with a savage grin as he charged, just a single step behind his Lord.

The Beastman Elite Soldiers let out a soaring battle cry. Having thrown their volley of Javelins, they crashed into the Minotaurs like a tidal wave.

Although the Minotaurs were a full size larger than the Beastman Warriors, they were being toyed with as if they were children.

One Beastman Warrior faced a Minotaur’s viciously descending Giant Axe. He dodged to the side and brought a hamr down on his opponent’s leg bone. As the Minotaur involuntarily slumped, another hamr blow shattered its head like a waterlon, splattering red and white matter across the ground.

The Beastn’s Power and speed far outstripped the Minotaurs’, and their Martial Arts were even at the Master Level.

’In their eyes, these Minotaurs were just slightly stronger fools, easy to toy with.’

"Crush these shorties!" the Minotaur squad leader bellowed, his angry roar verging on hysteria.

Everything before him felt like an absurd dream, but the screams ringing in his ears dragged him cruelly back to reality.

Minotaurs were excellent Warriors. Their performance in past battles had been a source of imnse pride. When they charged, the Mountain Pig-headed n were no match, and even the Centaurs had to give them a wide berth. They had even shown admirable courage when facing the mighty Bearman Warriors.

But in this mont, their peerless Power was being utterly crushed. As for their Martial Arts, they were a laughable farce in front of these shorties in Black Armor—like the clumsy gas of young calves in the Tribe.

As much as they hated to admit it, the reality was that their much-vaunted individual prowess was being completely dominated in every single way.

Levi led the charge at the very front. With a single swing of his Giant Sword, which was mixed with mountain copper, the audacious Minotaur that dared to stand in his way was sliced in two at the waist.

SLICE! The sound was as crisp and clean as cutting through a stalk of sugarcane.

This terrifying display made Si Kai swallow hard.

He thought his estimation of this Lord from High Cliff Castle had been high enough.

’But to cleave a man in two, Iron Armor and all, with a single sword strike driven by pure physical Power... what kind of monstrous strength does he possess?!’

Anyone else would have been scared witless by such a terrifying display, but these were Minotaurs. Faced with the deaths of their comrades, a red glow enveloped them. Their unarmored hooves swelled, visibly growing a size larger. The effect spread like a plague, and soon, all of them had gone Berserk.

Si Kai’s expression soured. Relying on his exquisite Combat Qi and Martial Arts, he had been handily suppressing a Minotaur.

But now that it had gone Berserk, it instantly beca much more difficult to handle.

He stole a glance at Lord Li out of the corner of his eye and saw that he was still felling one Minotaur with every swing. It was as if their Berserk state was completely useless against him.

"Damn it, I can’t bring sha to the na of Combat Qi!" Si Kai cursed under his breath, his competitive spirit ignited.

It wasn’t that Holy Light and Combat Qi had so irreconcilable conflict.

But whenever there were different systems, there was bound to be a pecking order.

Those noble Mages looked down on the Combat Qi Knights who just swung their swords around, and the Combat Qi Knights, in turn, looked down on the old-fashioned Holy Knights.

So, watching a Holy Knight who practiced the *Radiant Holy Word Treasure Manual* steal the spotlight right in front of him, Si Kai naturally couldn’t take it anymore.
