The boy and girl that were pushed back didn’t seem to have the required level and so the guard pushed them to the side while shouting at them. The boy snarled at the guard while the girls behind him glared! She was just a little girl but she was extrely beautiful with golden blond hair and eyes. The boy in front of her also had gold blonde hair and this made Han think they were siblings imdiately. The boy turned around to look at the girl with a lot of concern and Han rose a brow. Maybe they aren’t siblings, after all? Han had no idea why he thought sothing like that, but he just ignore it and continued watching.
“We just want to go to see our family! What sort of bullshit are you even saying! We’ve been to the sixty-third floor before because we live there!! Let us through!”
The boy shouted this loudly and the guard seed to get very angry once he heard this. He hated when people did things like this. They would try to lie to the guards so that the guards will allow them to get through and move to a floor that is too high for them! This guard has been fooled by this kind of trick too many tis and he refuses to allow it to happen again! He smacked the boy back and the boy crashed to the ground again! This ti the girl was the one that ca to help him!
“You better not waste my ti here! If you want to go to a floor then you can only go to floor sixty-one! If you want to go any higher then get a badge from the guild and you will be let through! If not then get out of my sight!”
The boy held his cheek and his bloodlust flared! This boy was a white star and he had to hold himself back from trying to attack because he knew that the guard in front of him was much stronger! If he dared to do sothing rash then it was possible he would be killed here! The kings had no love for adventurers that traveled from one floor to another! No one would even say anything if he was killed here!
The guard in front of the boy stiffened when he felt a bloodlust directed at him. He looked towards the boy quickly and he shook his head! No way! This boy cannot have this kind of bloodlust! It’s impossible!
Inside the shadow, Gregory was holding his head in pain because Han has smacked him with his full force for being so stupid! Why did you let out your bloodlust!?
Gregory beca angry when he saw what the guard did to the two siblings and he couldn’t control himself enough because he let out a bit of his bloodlust and alerted the guard to their presence! Imdiately he did it, Han smacked him on the back of his head and made him deactivate it but it was already too late! The guard was already suspicious!
“Hey! You there! Get out here this instant! I know you’re in the shadow, Nightwalker!!”
The guard shouted this before telling the other guards behind him to shut down the portal! Han sighed once he saw this. He really thought they would be able to just sneak through this portal as well but it doesn’t look like they can do what now. But why the fuck did you even get angry, Gregory! Don’t tell you’re getting soft because of children!! They’re white stars! This kind of thing won’t even be enough to make them cry!
Gregory looked away in embarrassnt as his King glared at him. He really didn’t intend to blow their cover like that! Gregory wasn’t used to all of his different emotions yet. The two main emotions he has ever felt were anger and hatred, so when he saw the children being beaten and thrown around he imdiately couldn’t stop himself from releasing BloodLust because of the anger. He was an idiot!!
Han sighed as the guard shouted again for them to co out! It was obvious that the man won’t let anyone through unless he sees soone coming out from the shadow! So he told Gregory to deactivate his shadow as well and the two n stepped into the open!
They appeared beside soone and the man gasped and took a step back in shock! He didn’t even know soone was standing right beside him!? What the fuck!?
Han was glad no one recognized him. Both of them were wearing large black cloaks that covered their entire body as well as their faces. Han was actually a little pissed with himself. He has close to fifty different skills, but he doesn’t have a single physical changing skill that can change his face. Bullshit. Once he gets back, that’s the first thing he’s gonna work on. Maybe he’ll kill soone and devour the skill from them? There has to be at least one person with a skill that can change faces.
The two n walked up to the smug guard and the guard chuckled in glee as he felt glad that he caught them. This sort of thing wasn’t new to the guard. If not for the fact that he felt that bloodlust he wouldn’t have caught them and he knew that it wouldn’t be a problem! The kings did not mind allowing strong people into their territory. So if Han and Gregory were strong enough to evade the guard and move to a higher floor then nobody will say anything against it! But the guard just decided to gloat over this small victory. You thought you could evade like that? Amateurs!
“Thought you could fool , eh? Well. I’m the best portal guard in the entire realm! Don’t even think I won’t notice you worms that keep trying to sneak into higher floors! I’ve caught a hundred of you!”
Han turned to Gregory with a deadpan expression. Look here, you little shit. This is what you made us go through? Gregory chuckled nervously and Han scoffed. Han didn’t show it but he was actually finding the entire situation a little funny. He knew Gregory was still young and he wouldn’t be able to control his emotions very well, Han didn’t hold it against the boy. They just had to get out of this situation first though.
Han stepped forward and the guard had to actually look up as Han stood over him. My god! Just how tall is this man!? I’m six feet and this man is looking down at !? He has to be at least 6’6!!
Han looked down at the guard as he spoke.
“Congrats, you caught us. We’re on our way to floor sixty-three so you can just let us through,”
Han’s voice was deep and authoritative and the guard felt a little angry that this Nightwalker dared to order him around! Who the hell does he think he is!? I’ve been guarding these gates for three hundred years and this man thinks he can just co and order around!
“Listen here punk,”
Han blinked in surprise. Did this bastard, just call a punk? The guard was oblivious to what Han was thinking and he continued.
“If you think you’re getting special treatnt because you can fall into the shadow and avoid detection then you’ve got another thing coming! If you want to get to floor sixty-three! Then you have to go into floor sixty-one like everyone! Get to the guild! Get your badge! And only then can you go higher! So don’t you dare fuck with or else I’ll make sure you can’t even get to floor sixty-one at all!”
Han took a deep breath as he saw the guard’s face turning blue in anger! There was another guard behind the angry one that was trying to get the angry guard to calm down, but the angry guard wouldn’t even bother turning around as he ignored his partner! I will never let an adventurer look down on !
Han took another deep breath. I can kill him! Just one shot! I don’t even need any of my strong skills! Just [Mine] would be enough to blow him into another floor!
But Han is going for stealth. I can’t just do sothing like that because they will definitely ask even more questions later on and word o this might reach Ratte. Han took a deep breath for the third ti. He was actually finding it hard to not kill sothing!
Even though Han and Gregory were wearing large cloaks that covered their entire body they weren’t being asked to remove them because they were not the first set of people to co to the portal looking like this. Many adventurers would cover their entire bodies and never show their faces for one reason or the other. The guard didn’t care about things like that. So long as you are strong enough to get to the next floor they’ll let you through. It’s not like you can do anything stupid if you want to leave with your life. Unlike typical kings that are usually seen as weak people, the kings in the temple are supernatural beings! You won’t dare fuck with their territory unless you want to disappear forever!
Han had to agree to go to the sixty-first floor first and the guard huffed as he gave him access to the portal and Han walked through with Gregory. Gregory was still feeling bad about what he did. He really shouldn’t have let his emotions get the better of him back there, but Han just told him to let it go. It happens to everyone sotis!
Gregory couldn’t help but feel like Han was holding in a lot of anger though! That guard really pissed him off!
