“Gregory stop! Please, stop for ! I-I don’t know what happened to you so please don’t do this anymore!”
So monts passed before there was a low chuckle that echoed through the area. Everyone shivered in fear as they heard it. Gregory was laughing!?
Gregory couldn’t believe this would happen. He had been waiting for her for so long! He had been hoping that she would co to see him! He had been searching for a way to talk to her! Just so he can look her in the eyes as he chokes the fucking life out of her!
It was too fast for anyone to react to! One mont Gregory was standing opposite them and in the next mont, he was flying towards duchess Willow. His outstretched hand grabbed her by the neck and slamd her to the ground as she slid across the floor! She choked in shock! What was happening!? She had never even been hit before and sothing like this was too much for her to bear! She spat up blood imdiately!
Gregory heard the duke and duchess (Willow’s mother) shout while coming down from the carriage as well, but he turned around and unleashed the full force of his bloodlust on them!
The duke stumbled and fell to his bottom imdiately and the duchess fainted on the spot! Gregory looked down at Willow’s face with a smile.
“Hello. It’s been a while, hasn’t it? How have you been? I don’t think we’ve had ti to catch up on all the things we said we would”
Duchess Willow scratched at her neck helplessly! Gregory was choking her!
“I-I can’t breathe! G-Gregory, I can’t breathe!”
Gregory’s face squeezed in disgust. She was just going to keep saying that? Fight back. Do sothing. Don’t tell that you spent the six years that I’ve been gone just wasting your ti with parties and balls. You’re a disappointnt.
“Lance of light!!”
The king has been quiet all his ti because he has been busy preparing a magic spell that would hopefully take Gregory down. It was one of his highest-grade spells and he was sure that Gregory would not be able to move fast enough to avoid it!
The lance of pure light energy flew through the sky and headed straight for Gregory, but Gregory just took the duchess Willow and put her body in front of his own!!
Squelch!!!
That was the sound of the lance of light piercing deep into her stomach. The king’s eyes widened in despair. What have you done, Gregory!?
Gregory threw the duchesses body to one side. He didn’t even give a damn about her anymore. He thought she would be able to at least put up a fight, but she was just weak fodder.
“Stop this madness at once Gregory! Don’t you think that this is enough!? If you are so angry, then just take ! There is no need to involve the rest of your family in his matter!”
Crack!
That was the sound of the first prince’s neck-breaking! The king looked to the side and saw his son also fall lifelessly to the ground. His mouth was open in an expression of complete shock! Gregory didn’t even let him finish what he was saying! How could he kill his own brother!?
Gregory chuckled as he ran a hand through his long hair. He didn’t think his own father would be so stupid.
“I don’t think you understand what this is, King. It isn’t a negotiation!!”
Gregory appeared in front of the king and the king took a step back in fear. Gregory’s eyes were blood red and the king now realized that this power was not just the magic that their people possessed! This is far too strong to just be regular magic! It was sothing completely different!
Gregory and the king had a small conversation and as ti went on the king started to feel more and more defeated. He could see that Gregory would not give up this agenda for any reason whatsoever. It was almost like Gregory was only alive for this mont. So he made one last plea. He fell to his knees and put his head on the floor as he begged Gregory to spare one person in their family. Just one person that can continue the rule after they were gone.
Gregory hated the fact that this man thought he had a right to plead for anything. It was so pitiful to see the once powerful king begging like a slave. But Gregory decided that there are worse things than death for so people. The knowledge that your entire family was dead, and you are the only survivor couldn’t be any more pleasant than death itself. So he relented and agreed. He already knew the exact person he wanted to give this punishnt to.
The useless princess that has never done a single thing on her own before. She was useless without soone there to tell her what to do and so this would be the perfect person for the ruler position. Gregory only gave her two months before the council of advisors, or so other kingdom took things away from her
The queen and princess were still inside the carriage and they were absolutely terrified when the door opened up! The queen scread and was ready to fight whoever was there so she could protect her daughter but her eyes widened when she saw her husband standing there. He told her to co down and she and her daughter obeyed. They thought that the fighting was already over but they were shocked when they saw what that intruder had done to everyone!
The queen put a hand to her mouth and took a step back. She felt like she was going to vomit in disgust! Was all this done by her son? No! She refuses to believe it! The Gregory she knows wouldn’t do sothing like this! But was this still her son!? She told her husband a long ti ago that this was a bad idea! Isolating soone is not the way to solve a problem! If only he had listened to her!
And then the king told her what agreent he had co to with Gregory and the queen knew that it was finally over for her and her family! Before long, everyone in the royal family was kneeling in a straight line. The only person that wasn’t kneeling with them was the princess and she was being held back by the duke to prevent her from running up to her family.
The princess begged Gregory like a mad person! She cried and shouted that this was his family too, but Gregory didn’t even turn to her. All his focus was on the people kneeling before him. The queen’s eyes were shut, and she was silently crying while kneeling there! She just had to endure this! Her daughter would live if she endured this! She should never have done that to her son! What sort of end is this for the royal family!?
Even if the princess survives now, it was obvious that the royal family was dead and done. The princess could not take the throne and if she were to get married to soone else, then the man’s family is the one who would be the new rulers of the kingdom! To Gregory, killing these people is just like killing his entire family line.
The sound of a sword being drawn echoed through the clearing and the royal family all flinched. The people kneeling were the king, the queen, and the second prince who, miraculously, did not die from the first attack he experienced.
Gregory was about to do it but there was so sort of feeling that rose in him. He wouldn’t call it regret. It was more like concern. Was he doing the right thing? Gregory’s hand squeezed around his sword. He waited for this day for long enough to go mad from the anger! If this isn’t the right thing, then he might have as well died in that prison!
“Looks like you’re confused. Don’t you want to do this anymore?”
Gregory jolted in shock when soone’s voice suddenly whispered to him from behind! How did this man get that close to him!? He didn’t even hear him stepping close!
Han smiled at the shocked expression and then he straightened up. He could see from almost a mile away that Gregory was having second thoughts. Well, it was to be expected. The boy is a human so he would have human emotions. He might be used to killing now, but it is a very different thing to look your own enemy in the eyes like this.
“If you are so unsure of it then how about I help you?”
Gregory wondered what Han ant before he saw a dark Shadow Hunter rise from the ground. It drew its sword after a ntal command from Han and started walking toward the royal family. If Gregory wouldn’t kill them then let Han take care of it. This would save Gregory from the trauma of knowing you used your own hands to end your family.
But Gregory glared up at Han in anger! Who asked for his help!?
“Stop your knight. I never asked for your help”
The look in Gregory’s eyes was almost nostalgic for Han. It was the eyes of soone with resolve. Han smiled. Fine then, show what you can do, boy.
What Han just did gave him the confidence to do what he needed.
