The voice wasn’t particularly loud, but it was extrely penetrative. It pierced through the air and passed through all obstacles to reach ng Lei’s ears, as well as everyone in the city. It was as though the voice had arisen in their hearts.
“A challenge to the Prefecture Master? O Demon Grandmaster above, a demon is actually challenging the Prefecture Master?”

The demon world’s strict class stratifications were displayed to their fullest in this instant. The strong could stand in the sky while the weak could only stay on the ground docilely.
Every demon had its own position. No one dared to easily go against it.
“Who’s so bold as to actually challenge our Prefecture Master?”
“Probably soone that doesn’t cherish their life again?”
“How long has it been since our Prefecture Master was last challenged? 18,000 or 19,000 years?”

ng Lei was taken aback upon hearing the demons’ cusses at him. Why didn’t any of the demons grumble or whine about the other Demon Gods and Great Demon Gods floating in the air? Yet he couldn’t for so reason?
“Where did that worm co from? Get the hell down there!”
Not only were the demons on the ground dissatisfied, but the Demon Gods and Great Demon Gods in the air also showed their displeasure. A Fire Demon God even straight-up attacked him.
Boom!
A huge palm of flas manifested out of nowhere and smacked brazenly at ng Lei. The palm strike contained might so fearso that even a Great Demon Lord would undoubtedly be smacked dead by it.

All the demons gloated at the sight. They feared and revered powerful demons and would never ever allow a naless weakling to lord over them!

The impact caused the demons to snap back to reality, and they broke out in cold sweat. Shock and horror filled their eyes as they looked at ng Lei. In particular, those that had insulted and hurled verbal abuse at ng Lei just now were all the more shaking in their boots and close to wetting themselves in fear.

The Succubus’ jaw dropped. A look of incredulity flickered in her beautiful eyes. Never would she have ever thought that ng Lei would actually be so powerful! He had jabbed a powerful Fire Demon God dead with just a finger!

A burly figure was floating in the sky a fairly great distance away at the mont.
It stood 10,000-feet-tall and looked like a Behemoth, except for its incredibly ghastly white skin tone. There was no hint of vitality in it at all. All it had was just an endless aura of death and corpse aura[3] around it.
“It’s a Purgatory Corpse Emperor,” ng Lei uttered.
“That’s no ordinary Purgatory Corpse Emperor but a Purgatory Behemoth Corpse Emperor,” said Dodola as it corrected ng Lei.
It said, “A demon like that is born when a dead Behemoth stays in unique environnts, such as places where the stench of dead bodies pervades the atmosphere. It feeds on an endless supply of baleful aura, corpse aura, and the aura of death, and is immortal and indestructible.”
“A Purgatory Behemoth Corpse Emperor...” ng Lei nodded slightly. “That Purgatory Behemoth Corpse Emperor is fairly powerful. Despite the great distance between us, I can nonetheless sense an intense threat coming from it.”
“It’s undoubtedly a mid-level Great Demon God.” A smiling Dodola added, “There’ll definitely be a fierce battle between giants coming up later. Pay close attention when you watch the battle later.”
“Okay!”
ng Lei nodded lightly.
“Ice Demon Prefecture Master, hurry and get out here and et your end!”
The Purgatory Behemoth Corpse Emperor let out another deep roar. Rolling sound waves reverberated through the surroundings, instantly spreading throughout the skies above the boundless Ice Demon City.

Nurous figures rapidly shot out of the Prefecture Master’s residence and into the sky above Ice Demon City. With numbers as many as 10,000,000, they were none other than the Ice Demon Prefecture Guards.
A Great Demon God-level Ice Demon Prefecture Guard let out a cold snort and barked, “State your na, challenger!”
“I am Cornelius Lattimore!” The Purgatory Behemoth Corpse Emperor replied coldly, “Hurry and summon your Prefecture Master out here. I’m here to challenge him!”
“Give a mont!”
The Great Demon God took a good, close look at the Purgatory Behemoth Corpse Emperor before it returned to the Prefecture Master residence.
A brief mont later, a skinny and frail-looking Ice Demon that looked about the sa size as a normal human appeared in mid-air.
At the sight of the Ice Demon, the 10,000,000 Ice Demon Prefecture Guards all got down on one knee and bowed formally.
“Greetings, Lord Prefecture Master!”
“Greetings, Lord Prefecture Master!”
All the demons in every corner of Ice Demon Prefecture also got down on their knees. The Demon Gods and Great Demon Gods watching the battle were the only ones that bowed slightly instead as a sign of respect.
“So, it’s you that wishes to challenge .”
The frail and skinny Ice Demon Prefecture Master yawned as it peered sleepily at the Purgatory Behemoth Corpse Emperor.
“That’s right!”
The Purgatory Behemoth Corpse Emperor stated coldly, “Ice Demon Prefecture Master, you’ve taken steady possession of the Prefecture Master position for over 40,000 years. It’s ti that you abdicate your position and hand over the Prefecture Master throne!”

Upon hearing the Purgatory Behemoth Corpse Emperor’s words, the 10,000,000 Ice Demon Prefecture Guards and all the Ice Demons in the city broke into curses. Fury and displeasure welled up within their eyes.
During the last 40,000 years when the Ice Demon Prefecture Master had been Prefecture Master, they, the Ice Demons, had indeed enjoyed a higher status than other demons.
