Chapter Four Hundred and Seventeen
"Definitely... it’s true!"
It took a while before Jin Dongming could speak, his voice trembling.
"Young Master Jin truly left the city."
The wooden-faced man looked at Xiao Yi, hesitated for a mont, and then spoke softly, "Moreover, Mr. Jin has also moved out of G City."
"Tell Jin Xiaohan that it’s fine he has left, I do not wish for him to co back."
Xiao Yi’s gaze indifferently swept over the wooden-faced man before finally settling back on Jin Dongming, speaking faintly.
He didn’t particularly care about whether Jin Dongming moved out of G City, nor was he interested in paying attention to it, but he indeed did not want Jin Xiaohan to return.
"Yes... Yes, I will definitely relay the ssage."
Although Xiao Yi spoke very calmly and didn’t utter a single threatening word, Jin Dongming’s heart trembled again, and he quickly nodded his head like a pecking chicken.
"It doesn’t matter if you don’t relay the ssage, but if I find him in G City again, particularly if he dares to harbor any inappropriate intentions, even if... when the ti cos, even if you flee to the far corners of the world, I will always have a way to teach him the consequences of disobedience."
Xiao Yi said faintly, too indifferent to look any longer at Jin Dongming’s pathetic state. He said no more and turned towards the window. He seed to drift rather than walk, because both Jin Dongming and the wooden-faced man only saw Xiao Yi’s figure lightly gliding as if he had teleported, disappearing through the window.
The entire room was empty in a mont, Xiao Yi’s trace completely vanished without even a hint of a scent.
If... if it weren’t for their confidence in their own senses, feeling that it was improbable for them to daydream or hallucinate, and the expression of the other person in the next room remained vivid, both Jin Dongming and the wooden-faced man would almost doubt whether soone had been there at all.
This person is too terrifying!
It took a while before the wooden-faced man ca back to his senses, looking at the air in the almost completely traceless room, and across at Jin Dongming whose face still bore marks of fear.
This was certainly the most terrifying person he had ever encountered!
In nearly an instant, his heart acknowledged this reality which he was reluctant to accept but had to; this person was even more formidable and terrifying than his military instructors back in the army.
If last ti he felt that Xiao Yi had sowhat benefitted from the elent of surprise, thinking that it wouldn’t have been so easy to bring him down otherwise, now, he only felt imnse relief that the other party had no malice. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have even had a chance to draw a gun—both he and Jin Dongming could have just vanished from this world.
After a deep sigh, the wooden-faced man turned his head, looked at Jin Dongming and reminded quietly, "Mr. Jin, he’s gone."
"Gone..."
Hearing the wooden-faced man’s words, Jin Dongming finally ca back to his senses, his eyes wide with fearful urgency as he trembled, "Get ready imdiately, we’re leaving tomorrow, we’re leaving this place tomorrow."
Even though this ti Xiao Yi harbored no great malice towards him, and he didn’t feel the fear of that terrible Needle Technique again, this did not alleviate the fear in his heart; indeed, it was even worse than last ti.
Xiao Yi had actually co looking for him yet again.
Moreover, he could unmistakably sense the murderous intent Xiao Yi harbored towards his son.
Jin Dongming couldn’t help but secretly feel relieved, thankful that his son had already left.
At this mont, he hesitated no longer; any last traces of attachnt he had for the villa he had lived in for many years completely vanished. He now only wanted to leave this place as quickly as possible, to thoroughly escape its shadows.
Furthermore, he secretly decided that the next ti his son called, he would emphasize that before his son had mastered the skills, he must not return to G City. It would be better if he never returned, even after mastering the skills; perhaps starting anew in another city would be better!
This Xiao Yi was simply too terrifying; he did not want his son to risk even a slight mishap...
The wooden-faced man, hearing Jin Dongming’s words, was slightly shocked. Leaving tomorrow? Everything was still unprepared, and since all was already arranged, it would only take three or four days to proceed as planned—why the rush? Yet seeing the genuine fear in his eyes, and glancing once more at the window where no trace could be seen, he sighed deeply and said nothing more.
Facing such a terrifying person, perhaps it was indeed better to leave sooner and get farther away...
.........
Jin Xiaohan actually left this city—was it because he was scared off by Liu Sandao, or was there so other reason?
However, whatever the reason, his sudden departure ans that his life is spared for now.
But I hope he’ll stay low and honest, otherwise... I will make sure your life is worse than death!
Having left the Jin Family villa, Xiao Yi’s lips curved into a cold smirk.
No matter what, he believed that Jin Dongming and his bodyguard should definitely offer Jin Xiaohan so advice, and he trusted that he wouldn’t likely be coming back anyti soon.
Even if Jin Dongming couldn’t recognize the quality, the bodyguard should have sensed his strength.
When he had left just then, he had intentionally displayed that so-called drifting-like movent, intimidating them a bit.
That kind of nearly instantaneous movent, in his view, was quite aningless and impractical. It was an action that greatly consud cultivation power but did not achieve much effect. The only advantage was that it was subtle, useful occasionally for a surprise attack, but completely ineffective if the opponent’s strength was comparable.
However, today he had nothing else to do, so he simply played a bit, and he believed that such a move should have a good effect in intimidating them.
Back at Azure Waterfront, Xiao Yi quickly took a cold shower, leisurely lying on the bed, and couldn’t help but recall the ti he had spent this afternoon at the Wang family’s house, thinking about the high school and elentary school stories Wang Xiaohu had told him, and the gas they played together...
A faint smile involuntarily appeared on his lips.
It took a while before he snapped out of those sweet recollections, gathered his thoughts, shook his hair, and sat cross-legged on the bed, preparing to begin his cultivation practice.
But just as he was about to start cultivating, the villa’s bell began to ring insistently.
Who could it be at this late hour?
Xiao Yi couldn’t help but pause, wondering why the bodyguard hadn’t co up to alert him.
After yesterday’s events, although the bodyguard was now aware of Xiao Yi’s formidable strength, Xiao Yi had still instructed him to keep watch around the villa, focusing more, however, on the house next door to Shen Xiaoxiao’s.
Without ti to think it through any further, he heard the bell ring again and imdiately headed downstairs.
"Xiaoxiao?"
When he opened the villa’s main door and saw the bare-faced yet still breathtakingly charming face standing at the doorstep, his face imdiately showed a hint of surprise.
It was indeed Shen Xiaoxiao, who lived just across from him.
Seeing clearly that it was Shen Xiaoxiao, he finally understood why the bodyguard hadn’t notified him in advance. If it had been soone else, the bodyguard would naturally have inford him. But Shen Xiaoxiao was obviously not considered just "soone else" by that bodyguard.
But in just a fleeting mont, when he saw the frost-like expression on Shen Xiaoxiao’s face, the surprise on his face imdiately vanished, and his expression beca sowhat awkward.
At the sa ti, his head began to tingle.
Almost instantly, he guessed that Shen Xiaoxiao’s anger stemd from sothing.
"Um, Xiaoxiao, I... was about to leave yesterday, but then... sothing happened, so I got delayed," he said.
Seeing that Shen Xiaoxiao still didn’t speak or even step inside, rely standing at the doorway with an unfriendly expression staring intently at him, Xiao Yi’s heart suddenly grew even more uneasy.
It was only after feeling as if his back was starting to soak from her gaze that he could no longer bear it, cleared his throat, and surrendered voluntarily.
"Not bad, Yi."
Shen Xiaoxiao looked at the embarrassed Xiao Yi, her lips curling into a half-smiling, half-mocking expression, "You can feel fear and guilt too? Is there anything in this world that scares you?"
"Err..."
Seeing the look on Shen Xiaoxiao’s face and listening to her unmistakably mocking tone, Xiao Yi’s expression grew even more awkward, and internally, his disquiet increased.
"I thought you were daring enough to disregard everything, even your life, for your little beauty," Xiaoxiao continued, her lips twisting into a cold smirk in a mocking tone.
"Hmm?"
Xiao Yi looked puzzled for a mont. He suddenly felt that Shen Xiaoxiao’s words might have deeper implications, not just about him ignoring her advice and deceiving her yesterday.
Yet, in the mont, he was unable to grasp what exactly her comnt ant.
