"I don’t know!"

The emaciated old man looked at Old Master Liu with a bitter expression and murmured, repeating Old Master Liu’s words. A hint of self-mockery appeared at the corners of his mouth.

Yes, he didn’t know. How could he possibly know?

In this world, who would know?

"Do you know what his surna is?"

Old Master Liu seed to recall sothing, a trace of anxiety appearing in his eyes as he looked toward the emaciated old man. "Sixty years ago, did he say it? Does anyone know?"

"I don’t know, he didn’t say."

The emaciated old man paused for a mont, then seed to seriously reflect on sothing. After a while, he shook his head. "No one should know."

"Do you think, could his surna be Xiao?"

Old Master Liu looked dejectedly at the emaciated old man.

"I don’t know."

The emaciated old man was slightly startled, then appeared to understand what Old Master Liu was worried about. He wanted to tell him no, but he could not say it. All he could do was shake his head because indeed, he could not be certain.

In this world, no one knew what his real surna was.

"Sigh..."

Old Master Liu sighed deeply, his eyes revealing an expression of imnse regret. In that mont, he suddenly felt that he had never regretted anything as much as he did at that very mont.

Having spent most of his life in Glass City, why did he leave?

It was rely a squabble among the younger generation. Knowing his grandson was unhard, why did he feel the need to co out personally?

Aware that G City was a place filled with danger and peculiar disputes, why did he still rush over? More importantly, why was he so muddled just now to actually harbor a murderous intent!

Now, if just the thought of "if" made Old Master Liu’s eyes reveal an utterly terrifying look. If he had only heard of the man’s terrifying strength through legends before and his awe was mostly derived from those stories, then now, after personally experiencing it for himself, his heart truly chilled with fear!

Only through personal experience, and only at his level, could one clearly understand how fearso the other was!

In that last palm strike, driven by murderous intent, he had almost unleashed eighty percent of his energy, but in that mont, he felt a jolt through his body; all that energy, his murderous and tyrannical energy, felt like it hit cotton and disappeared completely, as if absorbed by sothing. Then a gentle yet slightly tyrannical energy ca through, and his body almost uncontrollably stumbled backward, suffering a slight injury.

And all of this was without him even catching a glimpse of the other person’s shadow. Even at his realm, pushing his Spiritual Sense to the extre, he could not detect even a trace of the other’s presence. What did this an?

Either the other person was extrely far away, or he was so strong that Elder Liu simply couldn’t sense his realm. Either possibility only indicated one thing: the other was terrifyingly powerful!

With just the flick of his finger, the Liu Family, seen by many as a colossal noble family akin to an aircraft carrier, would absolutely be reduced to ashes in an instant.

The emaciated old man, looking at Old Master Liu’s expression, could not help but sigh softly.

However, he seed to rember sothing and whispered softly, "Since he hasn’t continued to target you, and he hasn’t followed us here, I think he probably doesn’t intend to pursue the matter further."

"Let’s hope so."

Hearing the gaunt old man’s words, Old Master Liu’s expression instantly eased a bit as he let out a slight sigh of relief, but concern still flickered in his eyes. After a while, he said with determined resolve, "Regardless, we must imdiately take Dongjun and leave G City for Glass City, and he is never to set foot in G City again."

.........

What exactly was going on with Old Master Liu just now?

Why did he seem to stagger back all of a sudden and then leave abruptly?

After having dinner, Xiao Yi sat cross-legged on his bed, silently recalling the earlier situation, and a huge doubt resurfaced in his mind.

The expression on Old Master Liu’s face made him feel that sothing about this incident was particularly strange.

As one of the parties involved, the protagonist, he knew very well that he hadn’t taken any action at the ti.

Could it be... that the monk had never left and was actually still by his side?

Suddenly, a bold idea ca to Xiao Yi’s mind.

Had the words he said to Shen Xiaoxiao, initially ant as comfort, actually turned prophetic?

But then, he imdiately dismissed the idea.

Although, based on Old Master Liu’s expression and the various signs of his behavior afterward, it seed highly likely, and it was the most reasonable explanation.

But it was impossible, downright laughable; even if the monk’s strength was unfathomable, he himself was a master of the Initial Tier of the Condensation period, and since childhood, he had been practicing the Spirit Cultivation thod taught by the old man, with Spiritual Sense far surpassing his peers, a master like that following him all along without him noticing was unthinkable.

Even if the monk had indeed reached an unfathomable level of mastery, comparable to that oddity of an old man, and he couldn’t detect it, but when he had acted just now, there was no way the monk could still avoid his Spiritual Sense, right?

And yet he didn’t feel the slightest fluctuation of True Force, nor could he sense the other’s presence.

If that possibility truly existed, then... to what extent was the monk’s strength? At the very least, it had surpassed the old man, he dared not imagine what kind of being that would be!

If it wasn’t the help of a mysterious expert, then what was the reason?

Xiao Yi’s face showed a pondering look once again.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard he thought, wracking his brain, he still couldn’t figure it out.

Forget it, regardless, this incident was ultimately a good thing, whether or not that possibility existed, whether or not there was a mysterious expert’s help. At least, the crisis he faced at the mont was averted, he had resolved an urgent problem.

However... the Liu Family... he really hadn’t expected the Liu Family to have such strength, casually dispatching two formidable experts!

Judging from the earlier situation, although the skeletal old man hadn’t shown much of his strength, the re presence he exuded with a casual gesture and the tip of the iceberg it revealed had already caused Xiao Yi’s heart to palpitate and feel shocked.

This old man was definitely a fearso presence on par with Old Master Liu, or even, his strength and realm might be above Old Master Liu!

Xiao Yi silently made a judgnt in his heart (to be continued. If you like this work, you are welco to vote for it on Qidian. Your support is my greatest motivation).
