It’s about ti. Uncle Chen’s heart knot must have improved by now. Maybe one more drink and then we should head back, Uncle Chen and he both have work tomorrow, can’t really get drunk, that wouldn’t be good.

Moreover, if they keep drinking like this every day, it doesn’t seem good for their health either, and it’s easy to develop various liver diseases, the most common being alcoholic liver, which is very troubleso. I’ll write them a prescription later, let them boil it and drink it often to protect their health.

Alas, it’s a sha that the old man’s special fragrant tea is just too rare and too difficult to make, otherwise, I would give them so. If they drank it for a while, it would definitely guarantee a life free from illness and pain.

"Xiao Yi?"

Suddenly, while Xiao Yi was contemplating what was ahead, a voice full of surprise rang by his ear.

"Uh... Officer Zeng?"

Following the direction of the voice, Xiao Yi shockingly looked up and imdiately saw Zeng Xiaoi standing in front of him. Seeing her dressed not in her uniform for the first ti in front of him, but in a soft casual dress looking unexpectedly elegant and graceful, he was montarily stunned. He really hadn’t expected to run into Zeng Xiaoi here.

Although Zeng Xiaoi wasn’t in her uniform, he still felt unnaturally nervous.

"What are you doing here?"

Seeing that it was indeed Xiao Yi, Zeng Xiaoi’s expression beca as surprised as could be. Just now, she recognized his profile and thought he looked familiar, and when she rembered the na Xiao Yi, she even thought she was seeing things. She knew this place, Jingyue Pavilion, was here, and although she seldom ca here to spend money, being in this circle she had so idea of the fa of this place.

No matter how you looked at it, Xiao Yi didn’t seem like soone who could afford Jingyue Pavilion, let alone gain entrance, since it seed to require a certain status and background, not just anyone could enter, especially not so no-na upstarts from the countryside, no matter how rich they were.

It took her a mont to regain her senses, her eyes intensely fixed on Xiao Yi as she asked.

"That... I’m here with a friend."

Xiao Yi hastily replied.

"A friend?"

Zeng Xiaoi frowned.

"Yes."

Noticing that Zeng Xiaoi seed slightly displeased, Xiao Yi quickly nodded.

"You sure have a lot of friends."

Hearing Xiao Yi’s words and seeing his expression, Zeng Xiaoi’s heart relaxed a bit. She felt her initial reaction was perhaps too strong. Now that Xiao Yi was attending Z University, where there were many noble family young masters and children of the powerful and wealthy, both famous and countless unknown, it was not surprising that he could et one or two who liked to show off, these so-called rich and powerful juniors, to bring him here, open his eyes, show off a little, it was not weird.

Jingyue Pavilion was not usually open to the public, being more of a high-class club-style restaurant, but for those local heirs, dropping by the main hall to get a glimpse of the place was not very difficult.

However, subconsciously, she didn’t want Xiao Yi to hang out with these types of people. Among these heirs, there were indeed so successful individuals, but most of them were indeed spoiled under the backing of their families, very bold and daring.

Although she didn’t hope for him to get too close to her sister, she still didn’t want this kid who ca from a rural area to take a wrong path. She hoped he could truly overco by his perseverance and take the righteous path which naturally ant studying hard, then graduating to perhaps pursue graduate studies, or finding a decent job to take root and thrive in this city.

So, every ti she saw Xiao Yi in a potentially bad situation, she felt uncomfortable. This ti was no exception. Once she thought it through, a mocking look involuntarily appeared in her eyes as she spoke.

"That, not too many."

Xiao Yi’s face involuntarily reddened, but it wasn’t the first ti he had heard her speak with that tone. He rembered last ti in the district where Li Ling was when they caught those involved in child trafficking, she had said the sa thing, so his resistance to her remarks was fairly strong, and he awkwardly coughed before replying.

"Xiao Yi, there are all kinds of temptations in the big city, constant and unending. I hope you take good care of yourself and don’t stray onto the wrong path."

Looking at Xiao Yi’s expression, which seed not too corrupted yet, still carrying a bit of his honest nature, Zeng Xiaoi said aningfully and then no longer paid him any attention, turning instead to continue towards the won’s restroom ahead.

Listening to Zeng Xiaoi’s words, Xiao Yi was montarily stunned, not understanding what she ant at first. After a mont, he finally understood, and a feeling of being touched rose in his heart. Aside from being a police officer, and even though what she sotis said was... well, rather harsh, she was actually not a bad person.

However, regarding her words, he couldn’t help but produce a faint bitter smile. Not to stray onto the wrong path? What she called the wrong path, was it still the wrong path to him?

Shaking his head, Xiao Yi was about to turn back.

"Xiao Yi!"

However, just as Xiao Yi took a step, he heard a crisp voice coming from behind him again.

Hearing this voice, a wry smile of helplessness appeared on Xiao Yi’s face once more. He really didn’t know what day it was today. Why were there so many people? He, who had only visited Jingyue Pavilion twice, had unexpectedly run into an acquaintance again.

"Miss Han!"

Though puzzled, Xiao Yi quickly turned around with a smile and greeted the person behind him.

"Xiao Yi, it really is you! What a coincidence!"

The one who called out to Xiao Yi was none other than Han Lu, the young lady of the Han family. Seeing Xiao Yi turning around, her pure face imdiately broke into a joyful smile as she approached him.

"Yes, indeed, it’s quite a coincidence, haha. Miss Han, are you here to dine today as well?"

Looking at Han Lu’s overly enthusiastic smile, Xiao Yi’s face displayed a hint of embarrassnt and apology. He felt that they were not acquainted to this extent. In fact, it seed they had only t a few tis. Under his embarrassnt, he didn’t realize that he had just stated the obvious. Although this place was upscale and sowhat similar to a clubhouse, it was still a restaurant-like clubhouse; naturally, coming here ant dining, even if it was under the pretense of discussing business.

Still, at her words, he couldn’t help but sigh. He had only co here twice, yet both tis he had encountered her; it certainly deserved to be called a coincidence.

"Yes, what about you?"

Perhaps too delighted, Han Lu didn’t notice the slip in Xiao Yi’s words and replied with a laugh.

" too, just here for a al with a friend, haha."

Xiao Yi chuckled, touched his nose, and checked the ti. He had been out for quite a while, and if he didn’t return soon, Chen Jianguo and the others might start worrying about him running into trouble. He was about to bid Han Lu farewell, but when he looked up, he noticed a familiar figure not far away, glaring at him with a look full of spite. It was none other than Qian Xiaofeng, whom he had beaten up not too long ago. His face seed to have recovered well; no swelling was visible, and he was smartly dressed.

Seeing Qian Xiaofeng’s spiteful gaze, a sneer ford at the corner of Xiao Yi’s mouth. This despicable scoundrel probably could only do this: stand at a distance and ’kill’ him with a glare. Moreover, he was probably very worried right now, fearing that Xiao Yi might say sothing to Han Lu.

However, Xiao Yi wasn’t the kind of person who liked to gossip. He disdained using such thods. Although these thods weren’t exactly dishonorable, dealing with such scoundrels didn’t require such tactics, nor did he need to involve Han Lu and the Han family.

Glancing at Han Lu, Xiao Yi suddenly rembered why Qian Xiaofeng harbored such animosity towards him. He quickly understood it all at once.

A cold smile appeared on his lips.

Such a petty person, aiming for Miss Han of the Han family? That was simply a fool’s dream. Not to ntion that Han Lu obviously didn’t fancy him; even if she had been deceived by him, Xiao Yi certainly wouldn’t just sit by and watch him succeed.

After several interactions, his impression of Han Lu, the young lady of the Han family, was quite favorable.

"Is it the sa friend as last ti?"

Seeing Xiao Yi lower his head deliberately a mont ago and not realizing the change on Xiao Yi’s face, Han Lu laughed a little after hearing his words and then asked curiously.

"Yes, haha."

Xiao Yi raised his head, smiled, and nodded.

At the sa ti, upon hearing Han Lu’s words, Xiao Yi finally rembered his original intention and hurriedly said, "Miss Han, I have been out for quite so ti already, and I’m worried my friends are waiting anxiously. I’ll have to leave now; let’s chat another ti."

"Alright, goodbye!"

Han Lu quickly nodded.

"Goodbye!"

Waving his hand, Xiao Yi turned and started walking towards his private booth. As he turned, he deliberately glanced at Qian Xiaofeng, who was standing not far away, not daring to co closer.

"Oh, by the way, Xiao Yi, you’re sitting at..."

Watching Xiao Yi gradually walking away and about to continue towards her own destination—the ladies’ restroom—Han Lu suddenly rembered sothing and quickly raised her head, looking ahead, but Xiao Yi had just turned a corner and walked away.
