Within less than an hour, Lin Fan had set up a makeshift tent.
Several beams were placed over a pit in the ground, isolating the moisture from the earth.
He then used the dry grass Ning ngyao had cut to cover the beams above.
For the roof, he made use of broad leaves and small branches.
With this arrangent, as long as there were no violent storms, there should be no major issue.
"I never thought you’d be so skillful and deft; this tent is truly natural."
Ning ngyao looked at the tent before her.
She couldn’t help but marvel at Lin Fan’s creativity.
If her phone hadn’t gotten water damage, she definitely would have taken a photo to keep as a nto.
"Don’t praise too much; this tent isn’t that comfortable to sleep in, and besides, we’ll probably be hungry tonight. If you get hungry, all we can do is drink water. The good news is we at least won’t be cold."
Lin Fan spoke as he sat in front of the tent.
He piled dry grass and dead branches together.
"You’re going to make fire by rubbing sticks together? I’ve seen this on TV; I can’t believe you know how to do it!"
Ning ngyao watched Lin Fan, her face filled with surprise.
She hadn’t expected him to know even this skill.
"You think too much; rubbing sticks together is quite exhausting. There’s a much simpler thod now."
Lin Fan said with a smile, picking up the water bag beside him.
This action once again stupefied Ning ngyao.
"You’re using that... for what?"
"Of course to start a fire; otherwise, why would I call it a Divine Artifact?"
Lin Fan smiled, aligning the water bag with the sun’s rays.
As he adjusted the position, a beam of light shot from the bag.
It fell on the pile of dry branches and grass.
"A convex lens... my gosh, how did you think of that!"
Ning ngyao covered her mouth as she quickly realized.
She had truly never thought the Divine Artifact could also be used in this way.
"This is human ingenuity."
With the light focused at one point, the temperature increased steadily.
Soon, wisps of white smoke rose from the pile of branches and grass.
Quickly, little flas sprang up.
"Now what are you going to do?"
As the bonfire began to rise, Ning ngyao watched Lin Fan start to get busy again.
She had no idea what he was doing.
"This bonfire will create smoke, which is like telling those guys our location, so now we need to make a smokeless stove to stay warm while keeping our position hidden from the enemy."
Using branches, Lin Fan quickly fashioned a smokeless stove.
He threw the bonfire inside it.
Indeed, not a hint of smoke erged.
The last potential problem was now eliminated.
Lin Fan then placed their outerwear on top of the smokeless stove.
He also stuffed a few thicker branches inside.
"Now I’ll burn so charcoal and spread it under the tent, in the dirt pit. This will keep poisonous insects at bay and block moisture, making our night less miserable. You should also remove your pants and shoes and dry them; it’ll be more comfortable."
Without waiting for Ning ngyao to ask, Lin Fan had already explained.
And he tossed his dried jacket to her.
This provided a decent amount of coverage.
"Okay!"
Although a bit shy, it was fortunate that the two had been living and eating together for so long.
Ning ngyao blushed as she took off her clothes and shoes.
She then wore Lin Fan’s jacket and crawled into the tent.
Thanks to the charcoal drying, the inside of the tent was bearable.
Hidden within, Ning ngyao just watched Lin Fan, who was still busy working.
He proceeded with a series of tasks thodically.
And he gathered more branches, chopped them, and used his shoelaces.
To create a few simple traps around them.
By the ti Lin Fan had finished, the sky had completely darkened.
A white fog gradually enveloped the entire island.
"It looks like there’s going to be a big rain tonight."
Lin Fan crawled into the small tent.
He then used a makeshift wooden board to cover the entrance.
Thus, rain would not get in.
And the warmth from the smokeless stove could slowly seep into the tent from the bottom of the pit.
As long as the rain didn’t fill up the pit.
The two could have a restful night’s sleep.
"I really feel like I’m a burden now, unable to do anything productive and just dragging you down."
In the endless darkness, Ning ngyao curled up in Lin Fan’s arms, blaming herself.
From start to finish, she had done practically nothing.
"How can that be, you are very useful, at least when we sleep at night, it won’t be so cold."
Lin Fan laughed, pulling Ning ngyao into his embrace.
Late night, isolated island, beauty.
This was definitely the perfect combination.
"You an, I’m just a heater."
Ning ngyao pouted her lips.
How did she suddenly beco a tool?
"Not necessarily, it wouldn’t be bad if you were a doll either."
Lin Fan wore a mischievous smile.
A pair of "magic claws" had already begun to stealthily advance.
Regarding this, Ning ngyao simply twisted a bit.
She didn’t strongly resist.
Outside the shelter, the sound of raindrops kept coming.
From small to large, enveloping the entire island.
The two inside were tightly embracing one another.
Warming each other with their body temperatures.
"Gurgle..."
In the quiet night, that sound was so grating.
This made Ning ngyao feel extrely embarrassed.
But there was no helping it, as she had vomited terribly on the ship.
Her stomach had already been emptied from the vomiting.
She had only been drinking water to stave off hunger all day.
There was no choice.
"Are you hungry?"
Lin Fan embraced Ning ngyao with concern.
To set up this temporary shelter, he had wasted several hours.
Hunting in the jungle was very difficult.
Moreover, with no ti, they could only endure it like this.
"It’s okay, just consider it a diet."
Ning ngyao obviously knew that everything was because he was taking care of her.
For now, she could only endure.
"Would you like sothing to eat?"
Lin Fan whispered in Ning ngyao’s ear, his voice low.
"You have food?"
Ning ngyao was puzzled.
Curiously lifting her head, but unable to clearly see Lin Fan’s expression.
"There is nothing to eat that goes into the stomach, but still, there are things that can satisfy the mouth, want to try my lips?"
Lin Fan had a naughty smile on his face.
Even though he couldn’t see Ning ngyao.
But he believed her face must be blushing right now.
"Stop it, do you think your lips are chewing gum?"
Ning ngyao felt incredibly bashful.
Yet, she had already been touched all over by his roaming hands, making her body heat up.
This guy actually wanted to further take advantage.
"My lips are much sweeter than chewing gum."
Lin Fan smiled and leaned down.
Gently capturing Ning ngyao’s lips.
The softness that lted upon contact was indeed incredibly erotic.
After Ning ngyao gently bit his lip.
She obediently opened her mouth.
With her eyes tightly closed, she passively enjoyed Lin Fan’s affection.
His roaming hands had already made her breathing increasingly rapid.
In the cramped tent, Lin Fan carefully adjusted his actions.
Fearing that they might inadvertently wreck the whole shelter.
Just when he was ready to take advantage of Ning ngyao’s lost state and completely succeed.
Suddenly, a sound ca from outside the shelter.
Clearly, the trap Lin Fan had set up had been triggered.
"Looks like you don’t have to starve!"
This sound caused the two who were still kissing to instantly stop.
Lin Fan instantly got up and rushed out of the shelter.
He wanted to see what this delicious prey was.
