The night was suprely peaceful.
A full moon hung high in the sky.
Inside the Ning Family’s residence.
Lin Fan was looking at two bulging backpacks in front of him.
"Let’s double-check, all the equipnt is ready."
Ning ngyao tossed the checklist she was holding aside.
These two large backpacks were the only supplies for the two of them for this trip.
"Are you really sure you want to go? I always have an uneasy feeling."
Lin Fan rubbed his nose.
He couldn’t explain this feeling.
But he had a sense of pressure about this trip.
"Indeed, it’s not good,"
Ning ngyao said as she slung a backpack over her shoulder. "Because this ti, I will shatter your disdainful machismo completely, showing you that a woman can hold up half the sky, or even more than half."
"Alright, my powerful woman, this ti I’ll be clinging to your coattails,"
Lin Fan said with a wry smile, picking up the other backpack.
If she insisted on going, then he had no choice but to compromise.
He just hoped that this special honeymoon trip would go smoothly.
"Let’s go, catching the first tide to the island will give us more ti to explore your origins."
Ning ngyao, in her outdoor windproof attire, looked spirited and confident.
Adjusting the cap on her head, she stepped out of the room.
According to the plan, they had to rush to the dock first to catch the speedboat.
They expected to reach Evil Island by noon.
On the way, neither of them spoke.
They seized all the ti they could to rest.
After all, the remote island hanging overseas was unlikely to be very comfortable.
"Wow!"
Above the sea, the speedboat raced along.
But Ning ngyao, prostrate at the stern, was pale as a ghost.
Kneeling at the gunwale, she kept vomiting.
The heaving motion made her seasick already.
"Who was the one claiming to have rich outdoor experiences? We haven’t even started and you’re already throwing up like this?"
Lin Fan gently patted her back.
"I... I have outdoor experience... not experience with boats... Who would’ve thought... it would be this nauseating!"
Ning ngyao had vomited until there was nothing left in her stomach.
She could only sit on the deck, her lips having turned white.
"So, you should go back on the boat later, and co back to pick up in the evening,"
Lin Fan held Ning ngyao’s small hand.
He gently pressed her Hegu acupoint at the webbing of her thumb with his own, intending to alleviate so of her discomfort.
"I don’t want to... don’t look down on ... once we’re on shore, I’ll be fine..."
The stubborn ng Yao bit her lip.
The long journey had just begun, and she wouldn’t go back for anything.
"Alright then, you’ll have to endure it,"
Lin Fan smiled as he looked at ng Yao wearing her cap.
He had gotten used to her professional attire.
This sporty look gave her an air of competence.
Her pale face even had a kind of delicate beauty to it.
"If you know I’m having a hard ti... then don’t be mad at so often."
Ning ngyao rolled her eyes.
This guy still refused to accept that she could handle hardship.
"I know, I’ve helped you out a lot during these past days, and that’s why you want to help find my origins as so kind of compensation. I just feel like this kind of outdoor activity isn’t suitable for a woman,"
Lin Fan watched Ning ngyao with amusent.
Her stubbornness was sotis quite endearing.
"If you can’t say anything nice, just keep your mouth shut."
Ning ngyao rolled her eyes and retorted, "I just don’t want you to be holess if you divorce , so I’m helping you find a place to settle down."
"You’re talking about divorce? Are you willing to let go of such a great husband?"
Lin Fan looked at Ning ngyao.
He rembered the night of their wedding, they indeed had an agreent.
But so many things had happened during these days.
They had also developed feelings for each other.
How could divorce still be brought up?
"Don’t flatter yourself, who can’t bear to leave you!"
Ning ngyao gave Lin Fan a look of disdain.
"If you don’t want a divorce, that’s fine, but the previous wedding was too shabby. How could I marry you so carelessly without even a single blessing? Once we find your parents, you must hold another wedding for , an honorable and proper one, complete with the traditional ’Three Letters and Six Rites’ to officially take as your wife!"
Every woman has once dreamt about her own wedding.
But whenever she thought of that hasty and careless ceremony,
Ning ngyao always felt sowhat discontent.
So, she really wanted the whole world to know that she was married.
Not to be married off in such a foggy and confused manner.
"Okay, no problem, once we find my parents, I will definitely organize a wedding of the century for you."
Lin Fan smiled as he looked at Ning ngyao.
So this was the knot in her heart.
"You said it, and whoever goes back on their word is a puppy."
So things, once spoken, are no longer a problem.
Hearing Lin Fan’s commitnt, Ning ngyao was genuinely happy from the bottom of her heart.
Moreover, her gaze instantly beca incredibly tender.
"I promise not to go back on my word, but can we let my son also attend the wedding?"
Lin Fan nudged Ning ngyao with his shoulder, a mischievous smile on his face.
His words, however, left her totally confused.
"Since when do you have a son?"
"Well, if things go smoothly, you might et him in ten months."
Lin Fan’s cheeky smile suddenly made Ning ngyao’s face turn flush with embarrassnt.
She threw her fists at his chest repeatedly.
"You’re so boring, I’m not talking to you anymore!"
Ning ngyao’s face burned with shyness as she imdiately stood up.
She walked unsteadily towards the cockpit.
Yet, in her mind, she had already begun to fantasize about this scenario on the solitary island with vast sea and sky.
A scene of dry wood and fierce fire between a man and a woman alone.
"This ti, I’ll make sure you won’t get away."
Lin Fan stood up, smiling wickedly.
Considering the topic of their recent conversation,
this honeymoon trip might not only lead to clues about his past,
but also possibly end with winning the beautiful bride.
Just as he was preparing to follow her to the cabin,
Ning ngyao suddenly scread loudly from in front.
"Look, it’s Evil Island, we’re almost there!"
Lin Fan looked in the direction Ning ngyao was pointing.
Off in the distance on the sea’s surface, an island had appeared.
A mountain rose in the middle of the tree-covered island.
From a distance, it emitted a strangely eerie atmosphere.
"Sothing’s not right!"
As Lin Fan was still examining the island,
he felt a murderous intent surging from the dense woods behind the beach.
Before he could warn her, objects trailing white smoke were already flying towards them.
And these objects, astonishingly, made a bizarre arc in mid-air.
Their speed was lightning fast.
"Damn, it’s an RPG!"
Realizing sothing was amiss, Lin Fan quickly pulled Ning ngyao close.
At that mont, the rockets carrying tails of death smoke were already in front of the yacht.
"Pff... Boom!"
Two rockets hit the white hull precisely.
In an instant, the yacht was ripped apart by the trendous force.
Debris scattered, a blaze shot to the sky.
Then, it quickly sank into the sea,
vanishing without a trace.
Everything happened so eerily,
catching everyone off guard.
