The slight frown on her face smoothed out as she mumbled back, “Goodnight, Lu Yinchu!”
Then, she slept soundly in his strong and sturdy embrace.

The next morning, Nanxi was awakened by her vibrating cellphone.
She picked up the phone in a panic and rushed to the balcony, noticing that Lu Yinchu was still asleep in bed.
She breathed a sigh of relief before she answered the call.
The call was from Xia Zhen, who said that she tried to call Lu Yinchu earlier but his phone was switched off, so she called her!
Nanxi explained the situation which greatly relieved Xia Zhen, who warned, “Remind him for , that he shouldn’t risk his health because of work, and not to work that late again…”
“I understand, Mom…” answered Nanxi.
Xia Zhen said, “The reason I called was to invite both of you for lunch today.
It’s Yinchu’s birthday after all – it’s the least we could do to make the old man happy.
I will leave you the afternoon and night.
Enjoy.”
Nanxi blushed at her words, “Mom, there’s nothing going on…”
Xia Zhen knew better than to continue teasing, issuing a few more instructions before ending the call.
Lu Yinchu still hadn’t woken up.
Nanxi felt a bit embarrassed.
She had overslept; it was already past eight.
She wondered if there was still sufficient ti to make breakfast for Lu Yinchu.

You can eat after washing your hands!”
