Ji Anning’s train of thoughts was interrupted, and as she ca to her senses, she hurriedly took a sip of water, rinsed her mouth, and then threw back the covers, preparing to get out of bed and vomit.

"The trash can is right beside you."

Ji Chicheng noticed Ji Anning’s movents, quickened his pace, and stepped forward to stop her.

From a different angle than Ji Anning’s, he kicked the trash can slightly with his foot, "Just vomit into the trash can."

"Actually, I want to go to the bathroom," said Ji Anning, sowhat embarrassed, lowering her head.

Ji Chicheng didn’t pay attention to her blushing shyness, his large hand grasping her slender arm, "I’ll support you."

Three words, decisive, as if it was a significant decision he was set on doing.

"Uncle, it’s not that serious, I can get up by myself," Ji Anning said embarrassedly as she pushed away Ji Chicheng. She had been lying in bed for too long, and now as she got up, she felt top-heavy. She steadied herself with a hand on the headboard, took a while to gather herself, and then began to walk toward the bathroom.

But she had barely taken a few steps when the man suddenly reached out from behind her and embraced her.

She stiffened, her heart beca chaotic, thoroughly disrupted.

Ji Anning slowly looked down at Ji Chicheng’s hands wrapped around her waist, his pale, slender fingers, and mories flashed through her mind of him playing beautiful lodies in the sunlight.

With every key he pressed, it was as though he was stirring her heartstrings.

Her hand, acting against her will, slowly rose, shaking lightly, and placed it on the back of his hand. At the touch, her heart fluttered violently.

Ji Chicheng seed to have seized the opportunity, turned his hand around to firmly grasp Ji Anning’s small hand, enclosing it within his palm, his deep voice resonating beside her ear, "Support you, or hold you."

He gave her two options, in keeping with his usual imperious nature, leaving no room for question.

Ji Anning felt a tireso affection and couldn’t help but laugh bitter-sweetly. Her heart was clearly so sweet it could die, yet she couldn’t be so open, so carefree, and so reckless. She still opted for a mix of welcoming and rejecting.

"Uncle, let go, I really need to go to the bathroom. Could you please check if the porridge is too hot? I’ll co and eat soon, I’m starving," she said, using a coaxing tone involuntarily.

Unexpectedly, this tone of voice actually worked wonders, and Ji Chicheng nodded in agreent, "Alright."

He never dragged his feet in matters, and imdiately let go of her.

Ji Anning breathed a sigh of relief and hurried toward the bathroom with her weak legs.

Fortunately, he didn’t continue to be domineering, or else she reckoned she wouldn’t even be able to urinate—how embarrassing that would be.

Having lost too much blood, Ji Anning felt dizzy as she rose from the toilet, almost collapsing. She practically clung to the wall to leave the bathroom.

Upon opening the door, the man’s presence was too intense; her gaze imdiately went straight to him.

Her heart softened at once, so tender it seed to lt into a pool of water, flowing endlessly, impossible to gather back.

Ji Chicheng was sitting on the edge of the bed, holding a bowl, and stirring the porridge with a spoon very seriously, all the while blowing on it.

To think that Ji Chicheng was doing sothing so attentive...

Surprised and touched, Ji Anning found it unbelievable.

"The temperature is fine now."

He always seed to catch her staring blankly at him, leaving her nowhere to hide.

"Oh," she nodded, replying with a word, and quickly looked away, walking toward the man.

As she approached, Ji Chicheng unhurriedly scooped a spoonful of porridge, raised it, and offered it to her lips.

She instinctively dodged, frowning and saying, "I can eat by myself."
