Damn!!!
Ji Anning was speechless. What kind of misunderstanding was this? That wasn’t her intention at all.
Just as she was thinking about how to respond to Ji Chicheng, her phone on the table suddenly rang with a video call request.
She glanced at the screen; the requester was Charles, so it must have been sent by Fenfen.
Ji Anning imdiately picked up the phone and answered the video call.
"Mommy."
Sure enough, Fenfen’s chubby little face appeared on the screen.
After being with Charles for a few days, the little girl’s face had visibly plumped up, and when she lowered her head, even a double chin appeared.
Upon hearing the little girl’s sweet voice, Ji Chicheng and Qi Helian excitedly moved closer to Ji Anning, one on each side, eager to squeeze into the phone screen.
"Fenfen."
Qi Helian was the first to call Fenfen, waving at her.
Attracted by this, Fenfen was happy to see him too, "Daddy."
This form of address was sothing the little girl could no longer change.
Originally, it was only Ji Chicheng who was unhappy hearing this, but now he seed to have gotten used to it and no longer objected.
With both of them squeezing Ji Anning in the middle, she felt hemd in and raised her shoulders in annoyance, "Don’t crowd so close, let talk to Fenfen."
She then turned to Fenfen and said, "Did our Fenfen get up and have breakfast?"
Although the little girl wasn’t eating now, Ji Anning recognized the surroundings as Charles’s dining room.
Fenfen nodded, "Eating breakfast and then going to kindergarten, Grandpa is eating too."
As she spoke, she turned the phone’s cara towards Charles, who was sitting next to her.
Charles wore a white shirt with a navy blue tie, his hair perfectly styled, looking handso in his thirties or forties.
He was very dashing.
"Mr. Charles," Ji Anning smiled and greeted Charles.
Charles returned her smile, holding a slice of bread as he spread jam on it.
Ji Anning’s attention returned to Fenfen, "Did Fenfen eat a lot?"
"A lot." Fenfen nodded, "Drank milk, ate bread."
Certainly fishing for praise.
Ji Anning gave her a thumbs up, "Fenfen is aweso."
"Grandpa misses Daddy," Fenfen suddenly said.
Upon hearing this, Ji Anning was taken aback, looking at the handso older man on the other end of the video.
He seed a bit embarrassed and wouldn’t lift his head to look at the cara.
This shy Mr. Charles was sothing Ji Anning was seeing for the first ti, and he was quite adorable.
Ji Anning chuckled and aid the cara at Ji Chicheng, "Daddy is here."
Of course, Ji Chicheng also heard Fenfen’s earlier words about Charles missing him.
He frowned, pushing Ji Anning’s hand away in displeasure, "Move it."
Ji Anning’s voice was even louder than his, "Your daughter wants to see you, and you’re not letting her?"
At this critical mont, when she got angry, Ji Chicheng pursed his lips and sulked, looking aggravated.
"Daddy, Grandpa really misses you."
Over there, Fenfen moved the cara closer to Charles’s face.
Now on the screen, there were only Ji Chicheng and Charles’s faces.
Ji Chicheng straightened his back and asked, "Doesn’t Fenfen miss ?"
Fenfen replied, "Fenfen misses Mommy."
Ji Chicheng was just keen on getting the cara off him, so he didn’t mind Fenfen’s answer.
He even took the opportunity to turn the cara back towards Ji Anning, "Then look at Mommy more."
After all, he could get up early tomorrow to video call the little girl alone.
Ji Anning’s face reappeared on the screen, and at that mont Charles was also looking at the screen. He said to her in a half-joking tone, "Your mommy has gained quite a bit of weight."
