Chapter 1646: Chapter 363: Four Against Duan Ziqing (Ten-Thousand-Word Update)
"Huh? Aren’t you the grandson of the Peng family?" The man’s eyebrows raised in surprise. Before Peng Ze could respond, he turned his head and shouted, "Hey! Over here! The boy from the Peng family is over here!"
As soon as the words fell, a chaotic clatter of footsteps ensued, and soon a group of tall, burly n appeared in front of Peng Ze.
Peng Ze tried hard to calm himself down. All these n in front of him were People of Country Fei, speaking the Fei language, and Peng Ze was uncertain about their identities.
"Who exactly are you?!" Peng Ze asked sharply in Fei language.
"Oh ho! This Peng family kid might be scrawny, but he’s quite gutsy!" The leader laughed, looking at Peng Ze with a hint of admiration in his eyes.
"Boy, don’t be afraid! We are allies of your grandpa!"
Peng Ze was taken aback, "Allies?"
"That’s right! We are from the Doufei Clan!" The man’s voice was loud, his square face exuding safety and reliability.
However, Peng Ze still harbored a bit of suspicion in his heart. He glanced warily at the group, asking in a low voice, "How can you prove it?"
The man was stunned for a mont, scratching the back of his head, seeming a bit at a loss with Peng Ze’s question. It was a fact that he was from the Doufei Clan, did he really need proof?
"If you can’t prove it, I won’t go with you. I need to wait for Sister Xiao Qing and Grandpa." Peng Ze lowered his face, clinging tightly to the nearby tree, showing he was not convinced by them.
The leader was dumbfounded, and the n behind him were also dumbfounded. They were just following the Clan Leader’s orders to save soone, but now they had encountered such a stubborn kid.
While the group of n was distressed, a soft voice tinged with amusent rang out from behind them.
"I can prove they are indeed from the Doufei Clan."
Peng Ze trembled, looking up sharply in the direction of the voice. A sowhat disheveled An Yiqing stood quietly in the night, supporting Peng Shaohe beside her.
"Sister Xiao Qing! Grandpa!" Peng Ze jumped to his feet, pushing through the crowd to reach An Yiqing. Seeing the blood on Peng Shaohe, his eyes reddened instantly.
"Grandpa, how... how did you bleed so much...?" Peng Ze’s voice trembled, never having seen his grandfather so weak.
"Xiao Ze... don’t cry... Grandpa... Grandpa is fine..." Peng Shaohe’s consciousness was already sowhat unclear. If it weren’t for An Yiqing’s dicine keeping him up, he might have already slipped into a coma. But even in this state, he still wanted to reassure his grandson.
However, Peng Shaohe’s words did not ease Peng Ze’s worry; instead, they made him even more anxious. He looked at An Yiqing anxiously, seeking comfort from her.
"As long as I’m here, your grandfather will be fine. Right now, it’s urgent that we get back imdiately. Your grandfather’s injuries are severe and require treatnt," An Yiqing calmly replied, looking up at the group of n, "You’re the ones sent by the Doufei Clan Leader, aren’t you?"
The n exchanged looks, seemingly confirming An Yiqing’s identity.
"Listen to her!" Peng Shaohe gasped painfully, weakly commanding.
The n showed surprise in their eyes. Who was this young woman, and why did King Xinsheng Peng Shaohe trust her so much?
"We are indeed from the Doufei Clan. Two hours ago, the Clan Leader received intel that the Fei Country Army was planning to ambush King Xinsheng on the road. To be on the safe side, the Clan Leader specially dispatched us to provide support. Thankfully, we made it in ti!" The man sighed; the earlier situation was indeed dangerous. If Peng Shaohe and Peng Ze hadn’t jumped from the vehicle, they would have been shot dead or blown up by bombs.
An Yiqing nodded, "Grandpa Peng was shot and is extrely weak. I need a stretcher, an ambulance. He needs imdiate hospital treatnt! Can you ensure his safety?"
The man snapped to attention, delivering a crisp salute, "Rest assured, madam! We are the elite unit of the Doufei Clan, and we will do everything in our power to ensure King Xinsheng’s safety! Unless the enemy steps over our corpses, even if only one of us remains, we will ensure King Xinsheng survives!"
"Good! Then I’ll leave Grandpa Peng and Xiao Ze to you!" An Yiqing was relieved.
"Sister Xiao Qing, aren’t you coming with us to the hospital? Where are you going? What about Grandpa’s injury?" Peng Ze’s voice, full of worry, was like that of a frightened little rabbit as he clung to An Yiqing’s arm with wide, tear-filled eyes, sensing the implication in her words.
