For Shen Jingrou to remarry, Mrs. Lin wasn’t entirely without assurance.

When Shen Jingrou moved out of the Lin Family with her daughter, she secretly reached an agreent with Mrs. Lin, a matter known only to the two of them.

It’s not impossible for Mrs. Lin to insist on Shen Jingrou remarrying!

If her son weren’t resisting marriage, Mrs. Lin would never resort to such a last-ditch effort, after all, Shen Jingrou is still nominally her eldest daughter-in-law!

Inside the booth.

Lin Yue’s eyes revealed a trace of lancholy. After Mrs. Lin left, he sat dazed in the chair for a long ti without any reaction. Until a waiter knocked and entered, asking if he needed anything, Lin Yue ca back to his senses, waved the waiter away, and then the waiter withdrew.

Once left alone in the silent space, Lin Yue tilted his head back, looking at the clouds blocked by tall buildings, exuding a faint trace of alienation.

At this mont, he was like an eagle that had fallen into a deep valley, swallowing his mournful cries.

The villa in the suburbs.

Bao Shaojin unusually didn’t go to work at the company.

The atmosphere in the hall was filled with a strange tension.

As soon as Lin Yue entered, he asked the butler to bring a bottle of strong liquor, and as if drinking soda, he poured it directly into his mouth, leaving Su Nan staring in astonishnt.

Seeing Lin Yue showing no signs of restraint, Su Nan got up and approached the man who hadn’t said a word all along, "Big brother, what’s wrong with Ayue going crazy again?"

"What do you think?"

"Hah, this guy is bound to ss up with Jingrou sooner or later."

Bao Shaojin didn’t respond, especially since the entanglent between Lin Yue and Shen Jingrou wasn’t sothing that could be explained in just a few words.

Seeing him not speak, Su Nan rembered the main reason he ca this ti; his eyes shifted, the gossip in his gaze was outright obvious, "The hero saving the beauty, that’s unlike your style."

Su Nan brought up the incident at the birthday party again, attempting to discern any hint of emotion from Bao Shaojin’s face, unsurprisingly, he was disappointed.

Bao Shaojin’s well-proportioned fingers seed to lazily rest on the armchair, his dark eyes revealing the usual deep somberness.

"She’s Bao Cheng’s girlfriend, you think I’m Qin Huai, that beast."

When Bao Shaojin said this, Su Nan didn’t initially realize anything amiss, but after ruminating, his pupils gradually dilated.

If Bao Shaojin truly didn’t care about sothing, he would be too lazy to respond, let alone explain. Yet just then, he clarified the girl was Bao Cheng’s girlfriend, not only that, but Qin Huai, far overseas, was inexplicably dragged into it.

Everyone knew Qin Huai had been beastly towards a girl, but for Bao Shaojin to state it so plainly, there was a sign of intrigue.

Su Nan felt that Bao Shaojin’s last sentence seed to be reminding him not to act like a beast, otherwise, he’d be no different than Qin Huai!

Sniffing a hint of "scandal," Su Nan didn’t press further. In matters of affection, as soon as a clue appears, there’s always more drama to follow?

From a distance, Lin Yue, with hazy eyes, watched the two of them, belatedly asking, "Huai’s back?" It seed as if he had heard Qin Huai’s na vaguely, Lin Yue lay spreadeagled on the sofa, the wine in his hand already finished.

Seeing him already drunk, Su Nan threw the blanket nearby accurately over Lin Yue’s abdon.

"We didn’t say anything. And even if he’s back, why are you so excited?" Su Nan retorted.

"Heh heh..." Lin Yue hiccuped, his eyes staring blankly at the white ceiling, he muttered, "With him around, in Mrs. Lin’s eyes, I’m not totally out of line."

Su Nan thought privately: This drunkard finally uttered a coherent sentence. Yet this guy calls his mother ’Mrs. Lin,’ how bold.

"You guys are birds of a feather, stop denigrating each other, hearing it already makes blush." Su Nan said as he lied with open eyes, hence the saying, like attracts like.

"You’re blushing? That’s rare!" Lin Yue pulled the blanket over himself, muttering sarcastically, almost making Su Nan get up to hit him.

This brat pretending to be drunk? Saying such toxic words, serves him right being lovesick.

"Bang..."

The bottle slipped from Lin Yue’s hand, landing on the ground with a crisp sound.

Lin Yue passed out on the sofa yet, even though asleep, there was a noticeable furrow on his forehead, suggesting discomfort even in his dreams.

Seeing his sullen appearance, Su Nan felt sowhat bitter, but said nothing.

As for Bao Shaojin, upon witnessing this, rely raised an eyebrow, his pale face calm and silent.

"Didn’t the Eldest Young Master of the ng Family spread word about selling half of ’Jianjia Alley’?" Bao Shaojin, changing the subject, redirected the conversation to business.

Upon hearing this, Su Nan frowned, he hadn’t heard of it.

However, since the words ca from his brother’s mouth, the likelihood of truth was about ninety percent.

Su Nan understood and was secretly alard, the implication seemingly that his brother wanted him on this project?

"Rest assured, I’ll handle this." Su Nan’s attitude beca unusually serious.

The next instant, Bao Shaojin stood up, his tall figure exuded an imposing aura, a finely cut black suit making him appear particularly spirited.

Though Su Nan prided himself on his appearance, standing next to his brother, he was still overshadowed by his aura.

"Yes, of course." On the other end, Su Yifeng, caught off guard by An Yin’s sudden enthusiasm, was so excited he almost bit his tongue, even stuttering.

"I’m by the bulletin board, are you coming over now?" An Yin hesitantly asked.

"Give four minutes, I’ll be right there!"

As he spoke, Su Yifeng could hear the rushing wind, he was running!

"Senior, you can slow down, I..." Before An Yin finished, the call ended.
