An Yin and Shi Qing ca out of the locker room when a burly man approached them, "Sister i asked you two to go to her office." The man’s voice was rough.

Hearing what he said, An Yin felt a wave of fear and took two steps behind Shi Qing to avoid the man’s dark eyes.

"Okay." Shi Qing noticed An Yin’s timid behavior and took a step forward, blocking the man’s peripheral vision.

Man: "?"

The man escorted them to Wen i’s door and then left.

After entering, Wen i looked at the two young girls and, without a word, picked up the red envelopes on her desk and stuffed them into their hands.

Wen i held a cigarette in her mouth and mumbled, "Shi Qing, consider this red envelope as a referral fee for bringing a new employee."

After speaking to Shi Qing, Wen i turned to An Yin, extending a hand with freshly painted bright red nails, which were strikingly noticeable. The next mont, her fingertips held the half-smoked cigarette languidly, "Our bar treats new employees quite well, An Yin, this is what you deserve."

"Just take it."

An Yin glanced at the red envelope in her hand, unaware of the amount inside, though she could feel its thickness and make a rough estimate, feeling increasingly anxious.

Did everyone who started at "Night Charm" receive a red envelope? An Yin wondered internally.

As An Yin hesitated with the envelope, Shi Qing spoke first, calmly saying, "Thank you!"

Wen i had already sat back in her soft chair, staring at Shi Qing with a satisfied smile.

When Shi Qing first started working here, Wen i sensed Shi Qing’s desire for money.

In contrast, the young girl next to Shi Qing showed no excitent or thrill upon receiving the money, holding it like a hot potato, not knowing what to do.

Perhaps seeing Shi Qing accept it so readily, the young girl finally mumbled, "Thank you, ’Sister i’!"

With such little courage coming to work at a bar? Wen i’s lips curled slightly, amused by the young girl!

The two walked out of Wen i’s office, putting the envelopes into their pockets.

They only opened them when they returned to the dormitory.

Inside, there was actually one thousand yuan!

"I didn’t expect ’Night Charm’ to treat new employees so well," An Yin’s eyes lit up as she looked at the crisp hundred-yuan bills.

In fact, her desire for money was not strong; just enough to cover food and drink was enough. However, she owed Bao Shaojin a favor that needed repaying!

Shi Qing heard An Yin’s words but said nothing, silently staring at the stack of money in her hand with an expression neither sad nor happy, as if looking at sothing inanimate, with no focus in her eyes.

An Yin was already accustod to Shi Qing’s quiet nature. Seeing her standing with her back to her at the desk, she assud she was reading and asked no more, carefully putting the money away, then washed up and went to bed.

In the bustling city center, a high-end cafe.

Soft classical music flowed indoors, several custors leisurely scattered by the window, with the air filled with the aroma of coffee mixed with the sweetness of milk, creating an intoxicating atmosphere.

Unlike the main hall, the café also had booth seats reserved for VIPs.

At this mont, an elegantly dressed lady sat in a booth, with a panoramic window on her left, offering a clear view of the spectacular tall buildings outside.

The lady’s eyes were fixed on the door direction, showing no interest in the scenery outside.

As ti passed second by second.

Her expression grew increasingly unpleasant, when, with the sound of a door opening, the lady almost stood up in excitent, only to rember the person’s tardiness, and her originally happy mood instantly dissipated, replaced by a look of displeasure, even in her words, which carried a tone of annoyance, "You’re fifteen minutes late."

Having said this, Mrs. Lin cast a sideways glance at her disappointing son.

Lin Yue walked lightly to sit opposite his mother, respectfully saying, "Mom..."

"Still rember I’m your mom?" Mrs. Lin retorted sarcastically.

Accustod to his mother’s cold stare, Lin Yue ignored Mrs. Lin’s glaring eyes and corrected himself, "Mrs. Lin, if that’s your attitude, I might as well leave."

Mrs. Lin looked at the handso and graceful son in front of her, feeling proud but even more so infuriated. As the youngest son of the Lin Family, Lin Yue had been doted on by his family, which fostered his reckless personality.

Now, at 31, he still had no plans to settle down, and over the years, he was never short of companions. Hearing his scandalous news always made Mrs. Lin so angry she lost her appetite and felt dizzy.

Unlike his mother, he seed not to care, continuing to enjoy life unfettered, showing no signs of restraint. Mrs. Lin couldn’t just let it go, could she?

"Jingrou told you agreed to a blind date," Mrs. Lin tried to speak in a calm and peaceful tone.

Over the years, the mother and son had not t often, and now, to see her son once, she had to rely on Shen Jingrou to help bridge the gap, which left Mrs. Lin feeling rather upset!

"Hmm..." Lin Yue sneered upon hearing this.

"What kind of demands do you have, insisting that the date be soone chosen by Jingrou? Does that make sense?" Seeing her son’s displeased face, Mrs. Lin laid everything Shen Jingrou reiterated on the table for discussion.

"You’ve forced to go on a blind date, and now I’m not allowed to have any requests?" Lin Yue rebutted.

The previous words he’d discussed with Shen Jingrou were now all being used by Mrs. Lin, which showed how Shen Jingrou had spared no details with his mother! Lin Yue was annoyed, feeling that soone was playing the perfect middleman.

"You..." Mrs. Lin was at a loss with this rebellious son. After taking a small sip of coffee from the table, she continued with an angry stare, "Ah Yue, don’t think I don’t know what’s on your mind. As long as your father and I are alive, those ridiculous thoughts of yours will never co to fruition; moreover, all these years, I’ve indulged your wild ways outside only hoping you would co to your senses on your own, rather than stubbornly insisting on that matter."

Mrs. Lin’s eyes darkened as she looked at her son, her expression showing so pain, "Ah Yue, the Lin Family only has one son left, don’t let your father and I die with regrets." Mrs. Lin’s eyes were fixed on Lin Yue, and the words she spoke were imbued with pleading.

Lin Yue entered with a nonchalant deanor, but as Mrs. Lin finished speaking, his face grew increasingly sullen.

"Ah Yue, I’ve said all there is to say, you do as you see fit." Mrs. Lin stood up, appearing ready to leave.

As Mrs. Lin took a few steps, as if rembering sothing, she turned back and saw that her once vibrant son had suddenly turned dejected. Although she felt sorry for him, to make her son face reality, Mrs. Lin felt compelled to twist the knife further.

"If you never marry, maybe I’ll consider having Jingrou remarry..."

Having delivered her parting words, Mrs. Lin left, completely ignoring her son’s increasingly dark expression.
