.: [Nine o’clock.]
.: [Ten o’clock.]
.: [Eleven o’clock.]
.: [Twelve o’clock.]
An Yin looked at the long list of tis sent by the other person, feeling a bit dazed and unable to recall what the other person ant.
She began to scroll through their chat records.
Upon seeing several eye-catching words...
"1000."
"Seat cushion..."
"I’ll pick you up tomorrow..."
She jumped up from the bed.
Thinking about how the other person had sent so many ssages, she quickly typed a response.
An Yin: [Sorry, I just woke up. Are you still waiting there?]
As she hit send, her eyes trembled slightly, her face full of anxiety.
Just waking up had left her cheeks rosy, adding a dash of color to her face, making her look even more radiant.
Three seconds passed, and the other person sent a ssage back.
.: [Twelve o’clock.]
An Yin: [Okay.]
After sending this ssage, An Yin rushed to the bathroom, and when she ca out, she was already dressed and had her hair done. Looking at herself in the mirror, her long hair flowing, her face bare and clean, she finally turned around, but not before picking up her small backpack and packing her phone.
The "old place" the man spoke of must be where he parked each ti.
A corner so distance from T University, where few students passed by, making it hard to encounter acquaintances.
When An Yin hurried over, she could only feel her breathing was rapid, her feet sore, and her back drenched...
Bao Shaojin’s car was parked by the roadside, the black Rolls-Royce Phantom quite eye-catching. Occasionally, students passing by couldn’t help but stare, and even slowed their steps. Bao Shaojin, however, completely ignored them.
As ti ticked by, his eyes in the car grew increasingly cold.
Just when his patience was running out, a thin figure appeared in the rearview mirror.
With just one glance, he knew...it was her!
Most of the ti, she wore jeans, today was no exception. The tight jeans outlined her straight legs, her upper body wearing a sowhat loose light-colored jacket, with the zipper pulled all the way up, covering her white neck, only showing her sharp chin, and above that, her tender red lips, strikingly red even without lipstick...
Bao Shaojin had never seriously looked at a girl’s appearance before.
An Yin was the first to make him want to take a peek!
Yet he realized this young girl seed to have a kind of magic, the more he looked, the more he was drawn!
He must cut off this thought.
Must!
Outside the car, An Yin was squatting, pretending to tie her shoelaces.
Several T University students passed by her, their laughter echoing in the air. An Yin, who was about to get in the car, hastily squatted down upon noticing them.
Only after those girls walked away did An Yin guiltily stand up.
As she looked up, her eyes t the man’s deep black ones.
The passenger side window had been rolled down without her knowing, his gaze landing directly on her, naturally catching her obvious pretense.
An Yin felt her face heat up, her heart congested, but at the thought that classmates could pass by at any mont, she reached for the back seat door, but couldn’t open it.
"Sit in the front!" The man’s deep voice sounded, with a chill that made An Yin shiver.
An Yin dared not delay and quickly sat in the front passenger seat without thinking.
"Brother..."
An Yin’s voice was soft and sweet.
This term of address had sohow beco more and more natural to say.
"Brother, could you close the window, please?" An Yin, her head tilted, gazed at the man’s stern face, speaking in a weak tone.
Bao Shaojin didn’t speak but closed the window as requested.
Only then did An Yin breathe a sigh of relief!
Bao Shaojin’s glance fell on her face, clearly not missing her earlier expression: Hmph, so concerned about others’ opinions? Afraid others would say she was materialistic or trying to seduce a rich man?
Bao Shaojin had no desire to verify these thoughts; the young girl was his cousin’s girlfriend, sothing he shouldn’t be worrying about!
It wasn’t until the car was on the road that An Yin realized sothing.
"Those two stained seat cushions...where are they?" she asked, her voice a bit anxious.
A chill flashed in Bao Shaojin’s eyes. To think of this issue only after getting in the car, wasn’t it too late?
Since she got in the car, she had been the one doing all the talking; the man remained silent, his face dark and cold, like a block of ice, enough to freeze soone to death!
Once she got in, An Yin felt restless, constantly seeing the man’s stern face, and began to think to herself: Have I offended him sohow?
Thinking carefully, An Yin could only think of one thing.
Summoning the courage, An Yin asked tentatively, "Did you start waiting here at eight o’clock?"
She hadn’t finished speaking when the man’s face turned even colder.
"No."
Bao Shaojin seldom spoke, but when he did, it was to rebut.
Only those who had been around him for a long ti could hear the hidden aning in his words, a subtle implication of protesting too much.
Simple as An Yin was, she took his words at face value.
He said no, so no it was! She felt more at ease now.
Just thinking of him waiting for so long made An Yin uneasy.
Afterward, An Yin turned her head to look outside; the buildings on both sides of the road were getting fewer and fewer. Seeing the lush greenery, An Yin could feel they were heading to a remote place, which made it impossible for her not to be nervous!
An Yin tightly gripped the seatbelt, her eyes anxiously scanning her surroundings, her voice timid, "Where are we going?"
With her soft, tender voice, Bao Shaojin’s eyes slightly furrowed, deep like a cold pool.
He saw the fear in her eyes, but had no intention of comforting her!
The man’s silent attitude only made An Yin more and more apprehensive.
Just as she was about to speak again, a stunning view caught her eye, making her eyes widen in awe.
Dozens of ters ahead, various villas were nestled on the hillside.
On the mountain, towering trees rose from the ground, lush and verdant, making one feel like being in a prival forest, giving off a sense of desolation. Not only that, there were stand-alone villas spaced not far apart, orderly yet varied in layout.
The man’s car continued driving towards the mountain top.
An Yin couldn’t bear to blink, watching the scenery flash by.
Seemingly rustic potted plants, carefully grood gardens, streams and small bridges...
Each villa had its own unique charm...
Bao Shaojin said nothing, quietly withdrawing his gaze from her. Her undisguised delight was apparent; she liked it here.
If she truly liked this area, gifting her a house here was not impossible. When this thought erged, Bao Shaojin stiffened, the darkness in his eyes filled with an almost obsessive edge.
If anyone were to gift her, it should be that Bao Cheng kid!
What business was it of his!
