When she returned to the dormitory, An Yin was absent-minded.

Su Yifeng’s "I like you" left her feeling bewildered.

In the past, it wasn’t as if no boys had confessed to her before, at that ti she only felt troubled and rejected them without hesitation.

Su Yifeng was different, just thinking of the help he provided when An’s mother was sick, An Yin wouldn’t reject him too harshly.

An Yin sat at her desk feeling troubled, her elbows propped on the table, unable to help but sigh lightly, "Sigh..."

At that exact mont, soone pushed the door open.

Shi Qing looked up, and their eyes t.

An Yin was the first to react, quickly sitting up straight with a smile on her lips, "You’re back!"

Shi Qing rely glanced at her coldly and replied, "Yeah."

As usual, Shi Qing closed the dorm room door and went to wash up.

When she ca out, An Yin was still sitting there.

Fresh from a shower, Shi Qing’s hair ends dripped with water, her long hair draped loosely, seemingly reminded of sothing, she turned to look in An Yin’s direction.

"Thank you for the cake earlier!" Shi Qing said, her tone slightly hesitant.

Lost in thought, An Yin looked up bewilderedly at her roommate’s words, taking a while to rember that Shen Jingrou had given her so cakes, and she had left two boxes on Shi Qing’s desk with a small note.

What she wrote was: [For whoever finds it, An Yin.]

"You’re welco!" An Yin responded without thinking.

Seeing An Yin’s face full of worry, Shi Qing parted her lips as if to say sothing, but decided against it.

For so many years, Shi Qing hadn’t had any friends, she had gotten used to it.

The dormitory fell into silence instantly.

***

Evening.

Bao Mansion.

Housekeeper Liu carried a bowl of steaming chicken blood, stepping cautiously for fear of it spilling.

What a bizarre thing! After decades in the Bao Family, Housekeeper Liu had never seen anything like this before.

In the dead of night, the Eldest Young Master actually instructed him to prepare a bowl of chicken blood.

When he arrived at the garage, he saw a familiar figure, "Eldest Young Master..."

"Give it to , Uncle Liu!" Bao Shaojin stepped forward and took the bowl of chicken blood.

His gaze was cold, his expression serious, appearing even more indifferent than usual!

Housekeeper Liu’s hand lingered mid-air, and though usually reserved in speech, he couldn’t help but ask, "What does the Eldest Young Master plan to do with this chicken blood?"

Housekeeper Liu looked around as he spoke, the spacious garage held nothing but cars, leaving him puzzled about the blood’s purpose.

"Uncle Liu, you may go, I will take this bowl to the kitchen later."

Bao Shaojin’s tone was firm, carrying a hint of indisputable authority.

Having been in the Bao Family for so many years, Housekeeper Liu had so understanding of each family mber’s temperant and chose not to pursue the matter further despite his curiosity.

"I’ll take my leave then." Housekeeper Liu said and shuffled out.

The next mont, Bao Shaojin’s eyes narrowed slightly, staring at the bowl of red chicken blood in his hand, finding it unbelievable!

His face grew colder, his stern features tense with intensity, what was he really doing?

His eyes were fixed on the open car door.

In the car seat was a brand new cushion, and at so point, a brush had appeared in his hand.

He deftly dipped the brush in the blood, heading toward the rear seat cushion.

Before long, bloodstains marked the passenger and rear seat cushions.

Relying on his astonishing mory, the bloodstains matched exactly the spots An Yin had soiled last ti!

After completing everything, Bao Shaojin stared deeply at those two bloodstains, a dark gleam flickering in his eyes.

Absurd!

Truly absurd!

If it weren’t for the bowl of chicken blood in his hands, he couldn’t have imagined he’d do sothing so ridiculous!

The very cushions she stained lay in his study; he rely needed to take them out and have her clean them tomorrow, yet, just knowing her marks were there, even if they were blood, he couldn’t resist hiding them away, finally calming the anger that had been simring inside him.

He knew full well this behavior bordered on the perverted! But he had never felt the need to explain his actions to anyone!

Bao Family back residence.

Mada Bao sat in the inner chamber’s armchair, her eyes fixed intently on Housekeeper Liu opposite her.

"You said A-Jin, that boy, asked for a bowl of chicken blood?" Mada Bao’s tone carried a note of disbelief.

"Yes." Housekeeper Liu also found it inconceivable.

"What does he want the blood for?" Mada Bao’s eyes deepened in thought.

"The Eldest Young Master asked to leave the room."

After Housekeeper Liu spoke, silence pervaded the air.

Just as Housekeeper Liu was about to advise Mada Bao to rest, he heard her heave a long sigh.

"Zhenxing, do you think A-Jin could... could be following in A-Xun’s footsteps..." her voice trembled toward the end, revealing her evident fear.

Mada Bao, accustod to life’s ups and downs, was not usually so easily rattled.

Housekeeper Liu’s fra stiffened.

Recently, mada had brought up the Second Young Master more often, her obsession seed to deepen, whether this was good Housekeeper Liu did not know, but seeing the elderly lady so distraught was heart-wrenching.

"The Eldest Young Master’s mind is focused on work, what you worry about is likely unnecessary!" Housekeeper Liu reassured.

The second young master, Bao Xun, was a thorn in mada’s heart, known to all in the Bao Family, yet none dared to ntion him.

"I hope it is just overthinking." Mada Bao held a string of Buddha Beads, slowly rotating them, her eyes losing focus, gazing at sothing distant, whether it was the far wall or the painting on it.

Housekeeper Liu did not respond.

In his mind, however, lingered unease, recalling mada’s earlier words.

Walking the sa path as A-Xun...

Regret flashed across Housekeeper Liu’s face.

The Second Young Master’s path... was a path of love!
