Chapter 89: Chapter 89: After Raising a Child and Getting Rich in That Era, the Delicate Beauty Was Spoiled Rotten 9

“If…” Li ihua hesitated, slowly putting down the broom in her hands. Her fingers caressed the light-colored fabric cut by Su Zhiruan. A hopeful gleam flickered through her normally timid eyes, “Before I got married, I was the best at embroidery for miles around. If you don’t mind, I can help you make it…”

These words were a huge piece of good news for Su Zhiruan.

She turned around and grasped Li ihua’s hands tightly, “I trust you! Mother! I’ve never been good at these things, if you can help, it would really be a great help!”

A radiant gleam of vibrant colors danced in Li ihua’s eyes, sothing Su Zhiruan never saw in the original mories of her host, as if she was a person suddenly infused with vitality.

Li ihua’s eyes glistened with tears.

With her back to Su Zhiruan, she quietly wiped away her tears.

...

This was the first ti in her life she felt needed.

In the past, both as a young girl and after she got married, she, as a woman, was considered a loss to her family. The dowry she brought into her marriage was used for her brother to take a wife. After marriage, she served her in-laws and was seen as a tool for bearing children. She gave birth to daughters, and she couldn’t even decide their nas; one was nad Pandi and the other was nad Zhaodi.

Sotis, she thought that her life might just be about bearing children and serving others.

Life was a ss. She couldn’t protect her children or take good care of them.

But now, she was trusted by her eldest daughter, completely trusted. At this mont, she was not an appendage to anyone else. She was Li ihua.

Su Zhiruan knew from the mories of her original host that her mother’s embroidery skills were excellent but just lacked an opportunity.

“Mother, let explain the design to you. Right here…” Su Zhiruan pulled out a chair, inviting her mother to sit down.

Li ihua dried her tears and nodded earnestly. This, her first ti being needed and trusted, made her focus intently on her learning.

Perhaps because she was exceptionally talented, or because Li ihua was so diligent in learning, Su Zhiruan only needed to explain a little before Li ihua was eager to try. With hopeful eyes, Li ihua worked both quickly and well, soon having sewn together more than half of the piece without a single extra stitch, the seams tight and beautiful, the workmanship superb on both front and back.

“Mother, I never realized your craftsmanship was so good!” Su Zhiruan was not stingy with her praise, raising her thumb to Li ihua, “Mother, I have a few more designs. If you have the ti…”

“I have ti, plenty of ti,” Li ihua, who hadn’t expected praise from her daughter, imdiately responded that she could produce them. “Now that it’s cooler, there’s no need to farm the land. I just do the house cleaning every day. Having sothing to do, helping you, would be great.”

Su Zhiruan breathed a sigh of relief.

In the past few days, she had thought of many ways to make money, but all of them, without exception, required initial capital.

Designing clothes alone wasn’t quite enough. She also wanted to find ti to write articles and submit them to various newspapers and publishers.

In her previous world, her specialty was the study of this type of related literature; she had a deep understanding of the literary styles of these tis.

A few days earlier, while designing, she wrote articles and sent them out.

She hoped to receive a response after so ti.

Next, according to the original plot, Su Zhiruan picked the most fashionable clothing store in town, taking her cutouts from magazines, the design drawings, and the finished garnts with her.

“These clothes are fine, and they look good on,” the female store owner noticed the transformation in Su Zhiruan as soon as she donned the outfit, her eyes lighting up.

“I dare say, this style of clothing will beco the focus in big cities, small towns, and even our little town over the next five years,” Su Zhiruan twirled around.

This morning, she had managed to braid her hair into a fluffy and beautiful eight-strand plait.

When she stepped out of the fitting room, having exchanged her faded, flower-patterned jacket for a beautiful snow-white dress, all the custors who were shopping fixed their eyes on her.

“This looks so good!” a girl exclaid, approaching her to get a closer look.

Su Zhiruan was beautiful, and the dress complented her perfectly, showcasing all her best features without being revealing or having any cutouts—it was just a simple, solid-colored dress.

n who were accompanying their wives or girlfriends, previously bored and wandering aimlessly, suddenly had their spirits lifted when they saw Su Zhiruan erge from the fitting room, looking like a fairy.

“I want to buy this! Do you have it in stock, sis?” the girl from before asked excitedly, pointing at the dress Su Zhiruan was wearing, seemingly eager to try it on herself.

The shop owner looked at Su Zhiruan’s dress with satisfaction. “How much for the stock?”

“We don’t have it in stock right now,” Su Zhiruan shook her head. “If the boss is interested, I can take pre-orders. I’ll contact the factory, and have it delivered when it’s ready.”

“That works, I’ll put down a deposit first, right?” The shop owner agreed readily.

As the owner of the largest clothing store in town, she was naturally no ordinary person; she had the capacity to see potential that others couldn’t and to act decisively.

Su Zhiruan handed over a copy of the design to the shop owner.

Afterward, she repeated the process, showing her other designs to several other clothing stores.

Knowing that she had already sold one of the designs to the largest clothing store, the other shop owners didn’t hesitate and quickly paid their deposits, signing contracts with Su Zhiruan and keeping the designs.

After a whole day of networking, Su Zhiruan held the eight hundred yuan in her hand and felt quite emotional all of a sudden.

This amount of money, now in her hands, was what life was about—earning money to live well and provide better conditions for one’s family.

Upon returning ho, even Li ihua couldn’t believe that Su Zhiruan managed to secure such a substantial amount of eight hundred yuan.

This was no small sum; in fact, it was enough to buy a small house in town just by itself.

“I need to contact the factory tomorrow, and then I’ll have to pay the deposits,” Su Zhiruan said, watching Li ihua count the money, suddenly feeling that her being there was quite aningful.

Upon hearing about contacting the factory, Li ihua carefully packaged all the money and put it in her pocket.

That night, she slept soundly.

The next day, Su Zhiruan went off to contact the factory.

anwhile, at the rural elentary school, Qin Lianqi sat on the podium. His cool deanor made the children too intimidated to even lift their heads to glimpse at him; they just kept their heads down and worked on their assignnts.

Qin Lianqi sat on the podium, grading howork.

It was when he flipped to Su Zhishu’s howork that he found sothing unexpected—a piece of paper tucked inside.

It wasn’t just any piece of paper. He picked it up and examined it closely.

It appeared to be—a draft!

And after reading the content of the draft, his usually calm heart skipped a beat!

The writing was too good!
