[Global Pri Logistics]

"et today."

Atlas stopped signing so papers as he recalled Penny’s remarks from their ten-second phone call earlier that day. He pushed himself away from the desk, gazing at the papers in front of him.

"Sir, is everything alright?" Allen, Atlas’s assistant, inquired as he carefully served his boss a cup of coffee. "You seem a little distracted."

Atlas didn’t answer right away as he glanced at the coffee Allen was setting on the desk. "Penny called today and told to et her. Do I have any other important etings at noon?"

"Well, you have a eting with so of our investors."

"Move it to the afternoon."

"Sir—"

"I don’t like the tone my sister was using. It’s bothering , so she cos first."

Hearing that, Allen didn’t argue anymore because he knew his boss well. If it was about family, especially his siblings, then nothing could ever change his mind.

"I’ll make the arrangents now." Allen lowered his head slightly before walking away from the office.

anwhile, Atlas remained seated in his position before spinning his swivel chair to face the floor-to-ceiling glass walls behind him. From here, he could see the port, surrounded by ships, machinery for unloading and loading, and containers.

"Why does it sound like an ergency?" he wondered to himself, his lips curling downward. "Did sothing happen during the board eting at the Pierson Corporation?"

After all, today was the board eting of the Pierson Corporation. If not for Zoren and Penny’s relationship, Atlas wouldn’t have known just how important and delicate today was for Zoren. He was aware that the Pierson family was complicated, but the more he learned about it, the more he understood that it was even more intricate than he had expected.

"I promised his grandmother," he whispered, staring in the sa direction before he turned his chair around and reached for his intercom. "Hand over so files about the current shipnts. Penny wanted to see them."

Without waiting for Allen to reply, he withdrew his hand from the button and leaned back. Another shallow breath slipped past him, still bothered by the fact that Penny didn’t seem to be asking him just because she wanted to chat. It felt to him that she was asking for this eting for a completely different reason.

Whatever it was, he would find out for sure.

---

A few hours later, Atlas arrived at the restaurant where Penny had told him to et her. When he entered the private dining room, Penny was already there.

"This must be very important," he mused as he closed the door behind him, snapping her back from her thoughts. "What happened?"

Penny smiled as he sat down across from her. "Don’t worry. It’s no big deal."

"Your tone earlier and the face you’re making now tell it is a big deal," he argued calmly, placing a folder on the side and sliding it toward her. "Here are the files you asked for. I wouldn’t normally show this to anyone, so be thankful you’re my sister."

"Hehe. I’m so grateful," she quipped, picking them up and flipping through the pages to skim through them. Her brows rose as she found them all too familiar before lifting her eyes to et his. "You don’t show this to other people?"

"I just said that, didn’t I?"

"How about Allen?"

"He’s my assistant, so yes, he would see these files." He blinked. "But aside from that, there are only a few others who have access to these files—two others, to be exact. One is Dad, and the other is the one who obviously created this report."

"Oh." Penny nodded, a little surprised to hear that.

How could Penny not be shocked when, in the past, she had also had access to these files? She never knew Atlas wouldn’t just show them to people. However, that wasn’t important at the mont.

She smiled. "Thank you. I appreciate the trust."

Atlas shrugged in response. "So, why do you want to check these files?"

"Curious."

"Curious? That’s it?"

"Mhm." Penny smacked her lips and smiled. "Just today, I heard a weird story about a shipping company being tied to a controversy regarding so smuggled goods and illegal transfers."

"You think that will happen in our company?"

Penny shook her head. "Turns out the shipping company is innocent. They were just being frad."

"Where do you hear these strange stories?" he muttered. "I haven’t heard any news like that today or even in the past months."

"I have a security firm, don’t I? Of course, I hear so rumors here and there as it is very important to ," she winked at him playfully. "Anyway, these files look great."

"Am I going to get a pat on the head?" he asked sarcastically, making her roll her eyes. "So, is this the only reason? Because of a strange rumor you heard?"

"What did you assu was the reason I asked you here?"

"Today is the board eting of the Pierson Corporation. I thought sothing terrible happened."

Penny knocked on the wooden table and chuckled. "No, it’s nothing like that. I called because I have a gift."

"A gift?"

"Mhm." Penny then took out a flash drive from her bag, placing it flat on the table before sliding it to him. There was a small ribbon wrapped around it as if she had just tied it to make it look like a gift.

"What is this?" he asked as he picked up the flash drive, curious. "What’s in here?"

"A software. A few years back, Yugi and I worked on a project for our new security system for Pri Group. It wasn’t finished until... today." Penny smiled from ear to ear, making her eyes squint a little. "That’s why Yugi had to leave Anteca not long ago. We had to test it out, and he had to et a friend of ours to polish it."

"And this friend is...?"

"From the Central Intelligence," she explained without holding back. "Use it to tighten the security of the company. There will be a lot of features, and Global Pri Logistics might undergo a huge change, but I’m sure... it’ll save you a lot of trouble."
