"The guest need not worry, our Night Banquet Platform forms a kind of energy suppression, ensuring that excessively overwhelming Divine Skills are contained within the Bone Platform and do not spill out," Princess Wu said.
"I have traveled a long way and am already tired," Wu Hen flatly refused.
"But I have heard that the strength of your Holy Sect lies in your Holy Body Bloodline; surely such a journey should not leave you without the Qi to even spar?" Princess Wu did not intend to let Wu Hen off the hook.
"Did you not say there would be beautiful dancing girls and light singing?" Wu Hen countered.
"If you defeat , I will dance a song for you, esteed guest." Princess Wu was resolute, determined to compete with Wu Hen.
No wonder the previous invitation had been so warm, and she publicly gave enough face to Wu Hen, allowing him to make provocative moves without getting angry.
It turned out she was just waiting for the night of the banquet to demonstrate her superior martial arts and let the world know of her, Princess Wu’s, martial valor.
Wu Hen was also helpless.
The words had been taken to this point... Experience tales with .Côm
Moreover, Wu Hen actually did want to watch. No man could refuse such a voluptuous and handso woman dancing before him—it was an experience utterly different from watching a female strear on a smartphone!
"Alright, thank you, Princess, for easing the weariness of my travels..." Wu Hen nodded his head.
The Commandery Princess also blossod into a radiant smile, with a hint of confidence in her eyes.
"The Princess will dance if she loses??"
"That would be marvelous!"
"Didn’t expect an extra performance!"
The guests and the hosts had rather peculiar focuses, especially the greasy male guests and male family mbers; they montarily cared less about the face of Wuting and began to look forward to Princess Wu offering a rare and exquisitely graceful dance after her loss.
In the nearby streets and buildings, filled with pedestrians and travelers, each of them stuck out their heads, staring down at the open-air Night Banquet Platform without rain, and heralds conveyed what they saw to those who were onlooking but couldn’t see, informing the excited crowd.
"I don’t understand, what’s there to see? Why is everyone excited around this Night Banquet Platform?" a rchant said, puzzled.
"You should know that Wuting is a Divine Subordinate Institution of our True Martial Super Continent; they represent the Martial God. Unless it’s soone challenging one of our nineteen exceptional Martial Gods directly, no force would dare defy Wuting... Wuting represents the authority of us martial artists on one hand, and on the other, because they hold the highest Divine Power, they have accumulated quite a bit of public resentnt."
"The major forces, out of awe for the Martial God, dare not spar with Wuting, and even if they do spar, it’s within the bounds of civility and social etiquette, thereby naturally becoming dull. But those Foreign Guests, they naturally want to display their own cultivation strength. When they spar with Wuting, it’s a genuine contest, and they won’t give much face to Wuting."
"To put it plainly, it’s about the truth. Although it may appear to be re hospitality, this Night Banquet is where the real strength of Wuting can be shown off, and there’s also the hope of seeing Wuting being embarrassed!"
With this explanation, so rchants suddenly understood.
Once an organization’s power reaches its peak, flattery and falsity are destined to exist. The Martial God having set such rules must also be in check of Wuting, to prevent them from misusing their Divine Power to trample wantonly over the martial artists of the True Martial Continent.
"Oh dear, we don’t understand these major dynamics, we just want to see Commandery Princess Gu dance."
"Exactly!"
"We must urge Commandery Princess Gu from the power zone to the fringe zone." In the crowd, a misfit chid in with language only folks from his hotown would understand.
...
The advantage of an open-air Night Banquet is that public sentint also cos through.
Commandery Princess Gu had not anticipated such a twisted public sentint, wishing not for her to uphold the authority for the whole of Wuting, but rather for her, as a distinguished Princess, to twist her waist before the Foreign Guests!
"Hmph, this Princess doesn’t want to dance for anyone, that’s why I cultivated True Martial!" Gu Luoshui proclaid.
She stepped onto the Bone Platform and drew her own weapons, which were precisely a pair of Butterfly Dual Swords.
Wu Hen also slowly made his way up, with a jug of wine in hand, seemingly not taking the contest to heart.
"Who is this person?"
"A formidable one detected by the gaze of the Martial God, out of the ordinary."
"One acknowledged by the Martial God is definitely also mighty; the Princess might be in for so hardship."
The family of the host and guests were also whispering amongst themselves.
"Southern Guardian Monarch has arrived!"
Just as the two were getting ready to spar, a military officer announced loudly.
The announcent still echoed across the Night Banquet Platform, and every Wuting mber present, regardless of their official position or if they were a Prince, turned and bowed toward the one approaching the presidential seat.
The Southern Guardian Monarch strode in mightily, like a fierce tiger exuding an air of natural authority, and settled onto the animal skin chair, then assud a very casual posture and said, "Continue, everyone, don’t mind ."
He sounded casual, but everyone present felt an invisible pressure.
In Wuting, those who are referred to as True Martial Monarchs are the future Martial Gods, basically equivalent to ancient princes.
Upon seeing the Southern Guardian Monarch, Princess Gu Luoshui’s eyes also lit up.
Even though the Night Banquet must be hosted by soone of the True Martial Monarch level, most of the ti the True Monarchs do not show up; after all, not all Foreign Guests catch the eye of the True Monarchs.
Since the True Monarch had arrived, it signified that among this batch of esteed guests, there were truly powerful figures, and the True Monarch had to attend in person to prevent any accidents.
There were over thirty distinguished guests at this banquet, more than half of whom were spotted by Wuting’s informants and then invited into Wuting, while only two were discovered by the insights of Martial Gods.
One was a yellow-eyed Foreign Guest who had visited a few months ago. The man was extrely handso and even more so in strength; unfortunately, though he did attend this Night Banquet, he showed no intention of sparring with anyone.
The other was this Foreign Guest that she had received today, from the Totem Sacred Sect. Just this piece of information reported to Wuting had drawn the attention of the True Monarchs, though the strength of the Holy Sect Disciples was uneven, and it was unclear what realm this mber of the Sect was in without having sparred.
There was a fifty-percent chance that her opponent for today was a big shot that required a True Martial Monarch to step in personally!
If she could spar with him, and even win, then the True Monarchs would look at her with new respect, and even the Martial Gods would know of it!
"Please reveal your weapon!" Princess Gu Luoshui was already anticipating it, as the True Qi Sea within her body began to surge!
"My weapon is a long spear, Princess. Be careful," said Wu Hen as he drew out the Ominous Bronze Spear.
The Ominous Bronze Spear flew around Wu Hen, hoping to enter the fray with its own fighting spirit so as not to be looked down upon by Wu Hen and Little Yi again, but Wu Hen gestured with his hand, signaling it not to show off on its own...
After all, representing the Totem Sacred Sect without demonstrating so Holy Breath would only lead to more suspicion.
But having it in hand is one thing, Wu Hen had no intention of being aggressive. The Ominous Bronze Spear could do as it pleased; if any old skin flaked off him, he would bury it back at the bottom of the river!
Seeing that her opponent only posed a stance without attacking, Princess Wu took the initiative to strike.
The Butterfly Dual Swords, together with two beautiful strands of Youlong True Energy, danced gracefully like water sleeves, yet concealed deadly intent.
The Ominous Bronze Spear in Wu Hen’s hand had clearly evolved; it coiled like a Black Water Divine Python, no matter how the opponent’s dual swords danced like dragons, they could not break through the coiled spear defense of the Black Water Divine Python.
The battle showcased a clear contrast in montum between the two. Princess Wu was at tis light as a butterfly, dodging the sharp spear blade, and at others, she transford into a curling serpent, revealing lethal claw blades.
Wu Hen was more static, even when wielding his spear blade, it was like a domineering black python coiled into a small mountain, staying fixed in one spot.
The domineering black python occasionally spewed black torrents that engulfed the whole Bone Platform, while Princess Wu flew up into the sky, hovering like a colorful phoenix, and stabbed true Qi with her Butterfly Dual Swords, piercing the ground.
Even without thick scales, Wu Hen, wielding the spear blade, seed to truly possess the body of a black python. All of Princess Wu’s attacks were blocked by it, and amidst the black python’s force, there was also a very rich Holy Light, like golden armor enveloping Wu Hen, providing such solid defense that the Princess, despite using all her extre skills, began to doubt herself.
"Fifth Rank Physique is indeed powerful," Wu Hen could clearly perceive his own changes.
With a Fifth Rank Physique, the Holy Infant had turned into a monstrous giant infant, giving Wu Hen the feeling that even if he had not broken through to the next realm, his Holy Power seed to rival that of his Master.
Where one door shuts, another opens. Totem Holy Power would drastically strengthen as his Physique evolved; after all, both centered around physical training. With a Golden Body and Holy Bones, the power of the True Martial World was fundantally weaker than Holy Cultivation. Within the sa realm, a Holy Cultivator could beat a Martial Cultivator hands down.
Princess Wu was also distinctly aware of this.
She felt that she and Wu Hen were not far apart in realm, but aside from his extraordinary bronze spear, he also possessed potent Holy Breath.
It was known that the Totem Sacred Sect could release Holy Breath to form destructive energy at its early stages, but in True Martial, a lengthy accumulation process was necessary to enter the True Qi External Release realm in order to achieve the effect of the Basic Holy Technique of the Holy Sect.
Perhaps at the realm of the True Monarchs or Martial Gods, there would not be much difference between Martial Cultivators and Holy Cultivators, but Princess Wu was clearly not at that level yet...
Each release of external True Qi consud a vast amount of it, and even with a sea of True Qi, she could not replenish it.
In contrast, Wu Hen’s Holy Breath was endless, and the bronze spear remained peculiar and domineering, showing no signs of fatigue.
"Little Bronze, hold back a little, we still have to freeload here, what if they spit in our food if we beat them too badly?... Nevermind, go back and rest," Wu Hen said.
The Ominous Bronze Spear was, simply put, too heavy-handed.
After all, they still had to shake their hips for them later; if they were injured, wouldn’t that an no more pleasure?
The Ominous Bronze Spear still had many abilities it hadn’t displayed yet, but since Wu Hen had ordered it, it had to comply.
"Sorry, I’m new here and not very clear about your capabilities, so I’ll put away my weapon and spar with you," Wu Hen also boasted fully, deliberately taking away the Ominous Bronze Spear in front of everyone.
As these words were spoken, they stirred the spectators into a commotion.
Too arrogant!
He wasn’t leaving Princess Wu any face at all.
Hearing these words, Princess Wu’s whole body beca even more irritated, her eyes filled with sha and anger!
"Are you mocking ?!" Princess Wu shouted in anger, and imdiately demonstrated her True Martial Extre Skill!
