919: Chapter 912: Disgraced Exit 919: Chapter 912: Disgraced Exit Her shield was quite interesting, not the sort of rigid shield one might expect, but rather a soft and viscous one.
The mont the tallic automaton plunged headfirst into the shield she deployed, its limbs were imdiately bound, making it impossible for the automaton to advance any further.
After a bit of a struggle, the tallic automaton awkwardly stepped back a few paces, then turned its head to glance at Fulajie’er, preparing to circle around the shield and continue its attack on Hu Daoke.
Seeing this, Fulajie’er felt very surprised.
It seed as though the tallic automaton knew she was invincible, so it didn’t bother tangling with her and instead focused its attention on the target of its attack.
“Look at , tin man!” Fulajie’er grew slightly angry, raising her hand, and a shield once again appeared in front of the automaton.
Imdiately afterwards, the magic in the air began to twist violently, and with a whoosh, a flaming tornado spiraled up from the ground, engulfing the tallic automaton in an instant.
This was probably the first ti Fulajie’er had used an offensive magic attack against an enemy.
Since she was a demigod, she, in principle, was not affected by magical talent, which ant that once she channeled magic, she could achieve a hundred percent conversion rate.
Regrettably, however, such a magic attack proved ineffective against the automaton.
As the flas erupted, the runes on the automaton’s body also emitted a white glow—a sign that the defense runes were resisting the magic attack.
The fire generated by the fire magic was different from the light that shone when the runes were activated; the flas had temperature, a very high temperature at that, capable of reaching thousands of degrees Celsius in less than a second.
If the tallic automaton had been made of Kedal tal, then at this mont, the tal on its body would certainly have lost its blocking capacity.
However, regrettably, the presence of magic defense runes on the automaton ant that they could weaken the extent of Fulajie’er’s magic damage, causing the temperature produced by her magical flas to be insufficient to reach the critical point where the blocking capacity would be lost.
Such magic consud a massive amount of magic power, and soon, the magic in the passageway was almost depleted, the flas weakened, and eventually dissipated.
Also, as the magic beca scarcer, Fulajie’er struggled to gather enough magic to maintain the defense shield, consequently, even the shield blocking the automaton vanished.
“Dammit, stop right there, don’t take another step forward,” Fulajie’er flew between the tallic automaton and Hu Daoke, spreading her arms in an attempt to stop her.
Because the magic was thinning out, Fulajie’er also couldn’t continue to maintain her body, which beca more and more transparent.
In vain, she stood in the way, forbidding the automaton from harming Hu Daoke.
Whether out of fear or desperation, Fulajie’er’s voice trembled, mixed with a hint of sobbing, pleading more than demanding.
However, the tallic automaton completely ignored her blockade and didn’t even spare her an extra glance as it continued straight toward the lying Hu Daoke.
“Shit, am I going to die this ti?” Hu Daoke lay on the ground, watching the tallic automaton get closer and closer.
Whether it was a matter of reaction at the extre, he felt absolutely no fear in his heart at that mont.
He clenched his teeth, took out a grenade from his pocket, and held it across his chest, his expression fierce as he glared at the tallic automaton.
“Co on if you dare, I won’t let you get away with it even if I die,” he said.
Not far away, Feng, clutching a long knife, struggled to crawl out of the tomb chamber.
She could barely stand, and seeing Hu Daoke about to be killed, she was powerless, only managing to let out a desperate cry before stumbling and falling to the ground.
“Don’t co any closer, please don’t, I’m begging you…” Fulajie’er’s voice beca softer, pleading with a sobbing tone for the other party not to co any closer.
Yet the tallic automaton turned a blind eye to her pleas, continuing its unhurried pace toward Hu Daoke.
The tallic automaton exuded a strong aura, the closer she ca, the more Hu Daoke could feel the breathless pressure emanating from her.
He breathed rapidly, his right hand clutching the grenade tightly, while his left hand shakily slipped a finger into the pin of the grenade.
If nothing unexpected happened, the entire Advance Team was likely to perish here, at the hands of this seemingly inconspicuous tallic automaton.
But fortunately, it seed that providence had not abandoned them.
Just as everyone was engulfed in utter despair, they heard a deep rumbling from the end of the passageway—the sound of the Snow God.
This sound was long and muffled, causing everyone present to tremble to their core, their ears filled with a persistent buzzing echo.
After the prolonged rumbling sound ceased, a surprising scene unfolded.
The tallic automaton that had rendered everyone else helpless suddenly stopped in its tracks and then raised its head to gaze at the dark end of the passageway.
“Ah, Snow God, Snow God, soone save us!” It was then that Fulajie’er realized what was happening, and her entire form instantly dissipated as her spirit flew into the pit where the Snow God was.
Not long after Fulajie’er left, another long rumbling ca from the end of the passageway.
The tallic automaton stood still, quietly listening to the aning of the rumble.
At this ti, Luo’er and the others were also helping each other out of the main tomb chamber.
The scene before her made Luo’er’s heart clench, and she quickly called out: “Little Ke, Feng, are you all right?”
“No, no problem, boss, watch out for that guy!” Hu Daoke lay on the ground, weakly pointing at the puppet not far away.
“Feng!” Luo’er turned his head to look at Feng.
Hearing Luo’er’s call, Feng struggled to get up from the ground and managed to wave her hand, indicating that she was not seriously hurt.
But seeing her like that, Luo’er did not believe she was completely fine.
“Luo’er, you guys go around the edge, I’ll hold her off!” Tangmo quickly spotted the tal puppet in the center of the passage and raised his magic wand, standing at the forefront.
He said to Luo’er without turning his head.
“Wait, don’t attack yet, she seems to have stopped.” Luo’er stopped her.
“This is a good chance!” Tangmo said, staring at the puppet.
“I don’t think it’s a good chance.
We can’t beat her, can we?
Even Feng was defeated.” Luo’er shook his head.
“What should we do then?” Tangmo asked.
“Walk around her.
As long as she doesn’t attack us first, we won’t attack her,” Luo’er said, swallowing and keeping his eyes on the puppet.
The roar from the Snow God kept echoing in the corridor, even causing so resonance that started to make the entire passage crumble.
While the voice of the Snow God echoed, the tal puppet stood quietly in its place, as if listening to the anings within the voice emitted by the Snow God.
Seizing the opportunity, the group carefully skirted around the tal puppet, sticking to the walls of the passage, and then converged together.
“Is everyone okay?” Luo’er asked with concern after they regrouped.
“Minor injuries.
Feng, are you all right?” Hu Daoke waved his hand and then looked over at Feng.
Feng did not speak but instead vigorously shook her head and then hid her injured right hand behind her back.
Finally, the voice of the Snow God stopped.
To everyone’s surprise and relief, after the voice ceased, the tal puppet did not continue to attack them, nor did it even glance at them.
Instead, it turned around where it stood and slowly, leisurely walked towards the main tomb chamber.
“She, she actually stopped?” Tangmo exclaid in shock, her eyes wide.
Tangmo was already prepared for battle, not expecting the opponent to simply cease hostility.
“Everyone, hurry up and leave.
The Snow God has pleaded for you.
As long as you don’t go any further, she’ll spare your lives,” said Fulajie’er’s figure appearing in midair before addressing them with a sobbing voice.
“What’s going on?” Luo’er looked at Fulajie’er, his expression one of disbelief.
“I don’t know how to explain it, but the Snow God has cald her.
As long as you don’t go in, she’ll let you go,” Fulajie’er urged urgently, “Don’t just stand there, hurry up and leave!”
“Retreat, full team retreat!” Luo looked back one last ti at the silhouette of the tal puppet disappearing into the darkness.
Despite his reluctance, he still clenched his teeth and gave the order to retreat.
“Boss, what happened to Yue’er?” Hu Daoke hoisted his light machine gun and looked at Baiyue with concern.
“The external injuries are minor; the main issue is internal damage,” Luo’er replied succinctly.
“Then I’ll carry her.
I’m strong, and I can hold her steady,” Hu Daoke offered, extending his hand.
“Thank you.” Luo’er nodded and then handed Baiyue over to Hu Daoke.
