833: Chapter 826: Surrounded by Beauties 833: Chapter 826: Surrounded by Beauties After persuading Eve and her brother to join Headquarters, Luo’er showed a relieved smile and quickly wrote a letter to report to Headquarters.

Knowing that Eve was aware of the whereabouts of the “Ancient Scripture,” her value was undoubtedly imnse.

In the current situation where Headquarters was at a loss concerning the Otherworld Gate, Eve’s ergence opened a brand-new breakthrough.

About two days after sending out the ssage, Luo’er received a reply from Headquarters.

Normally, such ssages would be sent and replied to on the sa day.

The reason for the two-day delay was probably that it needed to be discussed by the senior managent on Earth before they issued commands to the front-line Headquarters.

The round trip through the Otherworld Gate would take about two days.

Luo’er didn’t even need to read the content of the ssage; it was to ensure Eve and the others’ safe return to their station.

At the sa ti, the station also began to increase troop deploynt to ensure that the CIA could no longer infiltrate and cause trouble, just as they had at Haiya Academy with the killing of Fu’en.

It was highly unlikely that Luo’er would encounter any danger on the way since his route was largely impromptu, traveling back to Yazhi City imdiately after a trip to Winter Harbor.

For the CIA to predict this would have been surprising.

The Advance Team now split in two.

Luo’er, escorting Eve and her brother back to their station, was accompanied by Hu Daoke, Feng, and Fulajie’er, while Cheng Ziang stayed at the academy, awaiting the girls to complete a stage of their studies before returning together to Yazhi City by airboat.

The reason for leaving Cheng Ziang at the academy was to offer protection to the mage siblings, Tangmo and Baiyue.

Mages, being a delicate military asset, also needed protection; otherwise, once unard, they beca no different from ordinary people.

By estimated travel ti, Luo’er and his group were expected to arrive at their station by January of the following year.

Due to academic requirents, Tangmo and the others were predicted to return to the station by mid-January.

With this timing, after so preparation, it was estimated that they could just catch the spring to enter the North Lead Corridor, where the climate of the North Territory wouldn’t be too severe.

After half a month of long travel, Luo’er and his companions finally returned to their station on January 6th of the following year.

They had taken this route many tis, but this ti, due to poor weather, it took them a bit longer.

However, the vast plains within Odelanqi made traditional transportation quite convenient.

In fact, if a highway were built, Luo’er estimated that it would only take a few hours to travel from Holy Heart City to their station, but obviously, this world lacked such infrastructure.

“You two really went over the top.

I don’t know whether I should scold you or criticize you,” Wang Xu, who had co to greet them, couldn’t help but shake his head in amazent upon seeing Eve and her brother brought back by the two.

“We’ve done a great thing, why should we be punished?” Hu Daoke imdiately got defensive and said excitedly.

“But you’ve been too reckless,” Wang Xu said with an expressionless face.

“Uh…” Hu Daoke lowered his head and exchanged a helpless look with Luo’er.

“Forget it, no matter what, being reckless is Luo’er’s specialty; it would be really odd if he weren’t,” Wang Xu shook his head and then smiled.

“I thought you were going to scold again…” Luo’er glanced at Wang Xu and complained.

It seed that Luo’er only showed his unique side in front of Wang Xu as he was always serious in front of everyone else, which couldn’t help but make everyone want to tease him.

“You should know whether I would scold you or not,” Wang Xu glanced at him and then continued seriously, “Where are the people you brought?”

“Right here,” Luo’er said and then ushered Eve and her brother out of the carriage.

They trembled as they stepped off the horse-drawn carriage, shyly looking at this strange man with black hair and black eyes.

“Another Snow Elf mixed-blood,” Wang Xu said after a pause of surprise.

“Don’t scare them, they’re timid,” Luo’er interjected.

“I’m not trying to frighten them,” Wang Xu shrugged innocently, then continued, “It just so happens that Truth seems to have just returned to the station to recover, let her take care of them, being Snow Elves themselves there might be a sense of kinship.”

“Truth is back too?” Luo’er asked, surprised.

“Not just her, all your harem has returned too,” Wang Xu looked at Luo’er and teased with a poker face.

“What harem?

Stop talking nonsense,” Luo’er frowned and murmured in complaint, lowering his voice.

“Lord Luo’er!” At that mont, a sowhat unfamiliar voice ca from the villa, followed by a petite figure dashing out, hurrying down the stairs toward Luo’er.

“Lord Luo’er!” The newcor didn’t care about Luo’er’s reaction and brazenly embraced him, giving Luo’er quite a scare.

“Zhenli, haven’t I told you not to call ‘lord’?” Luo’er said helplessly, trying to push her away.

“No, to , you are my lord,” Zhenli replied seriously.

It seed that she had recently had good days at Haiya Academy; her whole being was spirited, her light blue eyes sparkled brightly, completely lacking the dejection she had when Luo’er first t her.

“Luo’er!!” Soon after, more bursts of joyful voices ca from the villa.

Kali, supporting Yaning, was descending the stairs, excitent written all over her face.

Trailing behind her was a familiar figure—the Uzistas Family’s young mistress Feliz, who appeared less than thrilled, her face full of jealousy.

“I really shouldn’t have co back…” Seeing this, Luo’er shook his head helplessly.

“Who asked you to flaunt your feathers…” mumbled Hu Daoke beside him.

“Dad!” At this point, Yaning, who had been assisted down the stairs by Kali, finally reached the ground and eagerly ran toward Luo’er, then reached out and clung to Luo’er’s leg.

“You’re a dad already?” Upon hearing Yaning’s words, Eve’s eyes widened in surprise as she looked at Luo’er.

“Don’t misunderstand; she just calls that out of habit.

I’m a half-elf, she’s Marsyan.

We’re not the sa at all,” Luo’er hastened to clarify.

“Enough, stop bothering Luo’er,” Wang Xu intervened, appearing to be unable to watch any longer.

Turning to Zhenli, he called out seriously, “Zhenli.”

“Yes, Chief!” At Wang Xu’s words, Zhenli imdiately stopped being affectionate with Luo’er, turned around, and stood up straight.

“Don’t call ‘chief’; it feels strange.

Just call ‘instructor,'” Wang Xu instructed with a wave of his hand.

“Yes, Instructor!” Zhenli responded anxiously.

“Perfect, these two are your kind.

Help take care of them for a while,” Wang Xu said, pointing to Eve and her brother.

“Eh,” Zhenli paused, then turned her head and saw Eve and Jora, the two mixed Snow Elves, and was montarily frozen in place.

“Hello…” Seemingly spotting a peer, Jora peered out from behind Eve and greeted timidly.

“Are they related to Luo’er too?” Instead of replying imdiately, Zhenli turned back and asked with a frown and a hint of grievance.

“Uh, that’s sothing you’ll have to ask your dear Luo’er about,” Wang Xu shrugged, clearly enjoying the drama.

“Stop kicking when I’m down!” Luo’er, who was explaining to Feliz, turned back and complained with a frown.

“Just kidding,” coughed Wang Xu, then spoke seriously, “Both of them are important to Headquarters as well.

Starting today, they’ll join our ranks and beco one of us.

Zhenli, be sure to welco them properly, no temper tantrums.”

“Understood.” Sensing the threatening undertone in Wang Xu’s voice, Zhenli nodded earnestly.

“Since you’ve been saved by Lord Luo’er, I will treat you well naturally.

Follow ,” Zhenli said to the siblings, her tone neither servile nor overbearing.

This attitude was sothing she had mastered after a long contact with Earthlings; otherwise, given her past deanor, she would not have been any better off than Eve and her brother.
