821: Chapter 814: Seasickness 821: Chapter 814: Seasickness Soon, Luo’er disard his rifle and handgun of all bullets and magazines and handed them over to the sailor.
These weapons didn’t have any sensitive technology.
Losing them simply ant putting in another request to headquarters.
However, gadgets like Magic Silencers couldn’t be handed over so lightly, as they were classified as secret weapons.
They’d rather destroy them than let them fall into enemy hands.
Seeing Luo’er’s actions, Hu Daoke was full of suspicion, but he followed suit and handed his own weapons to the sailor.
“And her!” the sailor said, pointing at Feng.
Upon hearing the sailor’s words, Feng glared coldly at him.
Her murderous gaze imdiately frightened the sailor.
“She’s only carrying a knife.
Don’t you trust us with that, or are you trying to disarm us completely and do sothing detrintal to us?” Luo’er asked, staring back at the sailor.
Facing Luo’er’s interrogation, the sailor was at a loss for words, fumbled for a response, and ultimately could say nothing.
He left in a huff, taking the weapons with him.
“Boss, what exactly are you trying to do?
I’ve got a bad feeling about this,” Hu Daoke worriedly asked, following closely behind Luo’er.
“Don’t worry, everything is under control,” Luo’er turned around and gave a confident smile.
“Hey, they took your weapons.
Are you sure it’s okay?” Eve asked, looking after the sailor before turning back with concern.
“We still have a knife,” Luo’er said, shrugging his shoulders.
“But they took guns,” Eve said with a frown.
“Rest easy.
We removed the magazines.
Even if they find bullets, they won’t find the right magazines anyti soon,” Luo’er reassured her.
“I don’t understand, but is this really okay?” Eve asked.
“If you don’t understand, then don’t speak.
Just follow our lead,” Luo’er replied.
“Boss, you’re not planning to…” Hu Daoke moved closer, speaking in a hushed tone, unable to help but glance at Feng several tis.
“Hmm,” Luo’er nodded before calmly stating, “Right now, even if we are disard and stripped of our clothes, as long as Feng holds a dagger, there’s no need to fear anyone on this ship.”
Luo’er’s confidence stemd from Feng, because as a Mage and Swordsman with just a dagger in hand, she could replicate her attacks using Magic Formulas—a capability Luo’er and the others lacked since firearms required loading bullets.
“If we have such an advantage, why listen to that guy at all?
I just feel sothing’s off about him,” Hu Daoke said, furrowing his brows.
“Our main adversary is the Central Intelligence Agency right now.
They might rely on the Holy Heart City’s military to intercept us, and engaging them would be highly disadvantageous for us.
As long as this boat gets us safely out of the city, letting them strut around for a while isn’t a big deal.
After all, once we’re out of the military’s sight, we call the shots on this boat,” Luo’er explained confidently.
“Oh, playing possum to catch the tiger, escaping from death after a desperate situation,” Hu Daoke nodded, understanding the tactic.
“Let’s go inside.
Endure a little hardship now, and we’ll have the energy to slap them later,” Luo’er said with a smile.
“Hmm, when you put it like that, I actually feel a bit relieved, almost sorry for that guy just now,” Hu Daoke said, smiling and following Luo’er.
The height in the hold was limited; Feng couldn’t stand up straight, let alone two big n.
Hu Daoke felt extrely frustrated as he crawled around, thinking about how he would deal with these people later.
“Luo’er, Luo’er, sothing’s not right.
This seems to be a trap!” Just as Luo’er found a corner to sit down, he heard Fulajie’er’s anxious voice in his mind.
“Oh, I probably already guessed it, but still, thanks,” Luo’er nodded, his expression unruffled.
“So what do we do now?
Let’s get out while we can,” Fulajie’er suggested worriedly.
“Don’t worry, with Feng here, you just continue to roam around the ship, see what they’re up to, and co back imdiately to inform if anything seems off,” Luo’er instructed.
“Okay, I’m off then, you all be careful,” Fulajie’er responded with concern, quickly leaving Luo’er’s area.
“Who are you talking to?” Seeing Luo’er muttering to himself for the second ti, Eve asked with a tingling scalp.
“Uh, I was talking to him,” Luo’er faltered for a mont, then lightly kicked Hu Daoke in the leg.
“Oh, oh oh, that’s right, he was talking to , I just spoke too softly,” Hu Daoke blinked, quickly catching on, and then hurriedly nodded his head in explanation.
Eve glanced suspiciously at Luo’er, then looked at Hu Daoke, and despite having many questions, she ultimately refrained from asking any further.
She felt that even if she did ask, Luo’er wouldn’t tell the truth.
“Feng, it’s up to you soon, pay attention to my instructions,” Luo’ turned and said to Feng.
“Should we kill them all?” Feng asked coldly, sitting on the ground hugging the long knife.
“Er, there’s no need to be so extre, just watch for my hand signs, a knife-hand ans kill, two fingers an leave them,” Luo’er explained while gesticulating under the dim light of the kerosene lamp.
“Understood!” Feng nodded, then began to gather her legs beneath her, knelt down with her head bowed and eyes closed, focusing and gathering her energy.
She was now closing her eyes to rest and wasn’t absorbing magic, because absorbing magic required a Rune carpet to be spread on the ground, and her carpet was still in her waist bag, not yet taken out.
For her, killing everyone aboard this ship and even sinking it wouldn’t use up more than sixty percent of her magic.
All she needed was an order from Luo’er, and she would imdiately start a killing spree.
Soon after they entered the hold, sailors ca and closed the hatch, piling cargo on top to make sure the inspection officers would not notice the door.
Of course, since it was smuggling, they had either calculated the customs officers’ routines in Odelanqi or had reached so agreent with those officers, so Luo’er wasn’t particularly worried they’d be stopped.
What he was actually worried about was whether these people would hand him directly over to Odelanqi’s army, because he had always tried to avoid any interaction with Odelanqi’s military to prevent exposing his whereabouts.
However, even if he were sold to Odelanqi’s army, Luo’er was confident he could fight his way out, especially since they had Feng as their trump card.
But no matter what, one must always prepare for the worst.
Luo’er had arranged for Fulajie’er to patrol and conduct reconnaissance, ready to spring into action from the hold and seize control of the ship if sothing went awry.
Ever since they boarded, they had been in a constant state of swaying.
Luo’er could handle airplanes, but couldn’t endure seasickness, even swings made him nauseous.
His complexion had grown quite ghastly after so ti.
In contrast, Hu Daoke and Feng sat there like nothing was amiss, steady as Mount Tai.
Eve apparently had been on a ship before, so she was managing to hold on, but Jora’s complexion was looking quite bad, almost rivaling Luo’er’s.
The wooden rchant ship wasn’t particularly large so while they were in the hold, they could even hear the squeaking footsteps above their heads, along with the sailors’ muffled conversations.
About two hours after boarding, the ship finally hoisted its anchor and set off.
As the movent of the ship intensified, so did the swaying.
Luo’er leaned against a post feeling dizzy and heavy-headed.
Had he known it would be like this, he would’ve asked Carter to transport them out before; there was no need to take a ship.
Luo’er could stand being on a large ship, but this dium-sized one was shaking intensely.
After a while, Luo’er felt his legs had turned to jelly.
“Boss, are you okay?” Noticing sothing was off with Luo’er, Hu Daoke stepped forward with concern.
“Uh, I’m okay, just a bit seasick, I’ll recover after a rest,” Luo’er waved his hand dismissively.
“Hey, boss, don’t force yourself,” Hu Daoke said, pressing on Luo’er’s shoulder, “Just rest well, we can handle the rest.
You already made plans, right?”
“Then I’ll leave it to you guys,” Luo’er said, forcing a smile.
“Don’t worry, we’ll make sure everyone gets out safely,” Hu Daoke assured, patting his chest.
