"In that case, the others should vote if we should participate or not," Joan added. "Those that agree can join the mission and share the rewards with you."
The notion of obtaining additional magic staves, potentially enhanced by Terry’s abilities, ignited a spark of interest and curiosity among the guild masters. The allure of acquiring powerful tools to aid them in their endeavors resonated deeply. Despite the nurous portals that still needed closing within their own country, the prospect of bolstering their arsenal of magical equipnt proved difficult to resist.
With cautious deliberation, the guild masters weighed the benefits and drawbacks of accepting the Canadian guilds’ offer. They acknowledged the pressing need to address the threats in their own territory, yet the allure of acquiring strengthened magic staves pulled at their ambitions.
In the end, a consensus was reached, swayed by the potential advantages of acquiring these new magical resources. The guild masters, though cognizant of the formidable challenges awaiting them at ho, decided to accept the Canadian guilds’ offer.
While so lingering uncertainty remained, the prospect of obtaining more potent magic staves and fortifying their forces proved too enticing to pass up. They recognized the imdiate benefits that could be gained from this collaboration, as well as the potential long-term advantages of forging alliances beyond their borders.
In the end, of the group of fifteen guild masters, all of them agreed on the mission, and five of those ten, aside from Joan, Vincent, Mary, Dean, and Samuel, were going with Terry to Canada. Terry didn’t know a single thing about them, but it seed that they were close allies with Joan’s group, and they wanted to see Terry in action in order to conclude if Terry had the potential to lead them from that mont onward.
Intrigued by the mission in Canada, Terry decided to dig deeper and sought Vanessa’s input on the matter. Vanessa, drawing on her contacts and sources, shared what she had learned about the struggles faced by the guilds in that region.
"As expected, you don’t look the type that does your howork before a big mission," Vanessa said once Terry showed up in her office and asked her so things. "I have been keeping an eye on the North since those things appeared."
"Those things?" Terry asked.
"Trolls," Vanessa replied.
Trolls, known for their imposing presence and formidable strength, are large humanoid creatures that dwell in various regions, including Canada. Towering over ordinary humans, trolls possess a muscular and rugged physique, often adorned with coarse, matted hair and rough, stone-like skin. Their monstrous appearance is characterized by long, gnarled limbs and a hulking stature.
In terms of behavior, trolls are notorious for their aggression and territorial nature. They tend to claim dungeons or lairs as their domains, fiercely guarding their territory from intruders. Trolls are not known for their intelligence, relying primarily on brute force and primal instincts in their encounters.
One of the defining traits of trolls is their regenerative ability. They possess a remarkable regenerative power that allows them to heal from injuries at an accelerated rate. This makes them formidable opponents in battle, as wounds inflicted upon them tend to close rapidly.
However, trolls also have their weaknesses. They are particularly vulnerable to fire and acid attacks, which can impede their regenerative abilities and cause severe damage. Additionally, trolls are susceptible to attacks aid at their vital areas, such as their head and heart.
In the context of the mission in Canada, the presence of trolls has caused a significant climate change in the region. The extre cold that has gripped the area in recent months can be attributed to the trolls’ influence. Their innate connection to the elents, particularly ice and cold, has resulted in a harsh and frigid environnt.
The sudden drop in temperature and the pervasive icy conditions have posed additional challenges for the Canadian guilds and their inhabitants. Traveling through the treacherous cold becos an arduous task, requiring specialized gear and precautions to navigate safely.
"The fire tornado made realize this, but the presence of monsters truly could affect the environnt that much; even without the fire tornado, fighting them up close was tough, thanks to the heat," Vanessa said. "The sa thing will happen with them. "Also, the border is getting colder, and the temperatures here are also drooping. My guess is that the trolls will attack us next once the weather conditions are good enough for them."
Terry didn’t realize that, but now that Vanessa said it, it truly was getting cold, even though it was sumr. Letting those things attack New York was a bad idea since they might end up teaming up with chanical warriors to deal with their common enemy.
"I am going as well, and you should also take Rebecca with you; you are strong, but you still need so fire support," Vanessa declared.
"I wouldn’t be so sure about that; the skill book that I got is truly useful; it can deal with the chanical warriors in a single hit if I manage to hit them directly in the skin," Terry shrugged. "Also, it is the kind of spell that will shine the most against the trolls."
"I see; as long as it decreases my workload, it is fine by ," Vanessa said.
As Terry contemplated the idea of giving Vanessa one of her power armor suits, he weighed the potential pros and cons that accompanied such a decision. Vanessa would benefit from the advanced defense capabilities of the power armor, which could provide superior protection against physical and magical attacks. This would increase her survivability in dangerous situations.
Power armor augnts all of the wearer’s physical and magic strength, allowing them to perform tasks that would otherwise be difficult or impossible. This could give Vanessa an edge in combat, enabling her to deliver more powerful strikes or engage in feats of strength. She was lacking in that aspect, and that much help would be very much welco, after all.
