Slaier?

Before Vina Kana could react, Mira stepped forward excitedly and said,

"Are you Slaier? The God of Lies and Deception from the ’Second Prophet Book’?!"

Slaier within the stone tablet gave a bitter smile and lowered his head, saying,

"Without a doubt, it is I, no substitutions."

Mira took a step or two back and exclaid,

"Lord, oh Lord..."

The God of Lies and Deception, Slaier’s neck twisted slightly, making it clear his shell was trapped in the stone tablet.

This stone tablet was surely no ordinary item, otherwise, it would not be able to contain a Fourth Rank Divine.

"Ladies, instead of sighing, would you mind first helping regain my freedom?"

It was then that Mira realized, indeed, Slaier was trapped inside the stone tablet.

Vina Kana looked at Slaier and then at Mira, and she took a half step back, leaving the decision in the young girl’s hands.

For Vina Kana’s era, Slaier was an unfamiliar na, but Mira clearly knew more about him.

Mira stepped forward two steps, but she wasn’t in a hurry to find a way to free Slaier; instead, she asked,

"Why are you trapped here?"

Slaier twisted his neck and after a while said,

"Because... I co from the year 1436 of the Rebirth Calendar. I ca here to stop my future self."

"Oh, it looks like you failed."

Mira thought for a mont, then asked,

"Why did you want to stop yourself? What exactly happened, and what is your relationship with the Primordial Church?

By the way, I’m from over 3000 years in the Rebirth Calendar."

Slaier was sowhat surprised that the young girl knew about the Primordial Church. Trapped within the stone, he slowly said,

"Alright, alright... It seems to you, I co from the past.

You should know, this place is a Chaos of Ti and Space. I ca here to stop my contemporary self.

He... has already fallen, becoming the Gatekeeper for the Primordial Church.

The story here is very complicated, too complex for you to imagine, but I’ll make it short."

At this point, Slaier glanced at the silent Vina Kana standing next to them.

For so reason, the God of Lies and Deception fleetingly felt that the latter could see through his heart, so it was perhaps better not to lie.

Slaier took a deep breath and a mont later said,

"As the Law was established, among the Gods, there gradually arose Divines who opposed our father’s Law.

They were accustod to the covenant of gods during Shan’en’s reign, in that era, Divines could almost freely walk among the Mortal World.

But the arrival of the Law changed everything.

The Gods were bounded by the Law, even to the extent of harming their own interests, to comply with that supre Law.

Thus, discontent arose.

Six Divines gathered together, they secretly ford an eternal covenant, solely to re-establish the order of the Shan’en Era. Thus, the Primordial Church was born."

Slaier realized the confusion in Mira’s eyes as he spoke,

"I guess... you must be wondering what role I, Slaier, exactly played in all this...

Well, I’ll be blunt, I was bewitched, I was deceived.

I was the last of the Gods to have seen Shan’en, those six Gods needed , so they deceived onto the Historical Star, then forced to reveal everything.

Afterward, based on the truth of that destruction, they founded the Primordial Church on the foundation of the True Religion.

And the reason I wanted to stop my future self was because the future had been completely eroded, controlled by those six Divines, unconditionally carrying out their commands, becoming a ’Gatekeeper,’ assisting them in concealing the existence of the Primordial Church."

Slaier said a lot in one breath; it was already the most concise way, but what actually happened was far more complex than what he explained.

For instance, what exactly is the relationship between the Primordial Church and the Primordial Will?

"But what exactly is a Gatekeeper for?"

...

Slaier didn’t intentionally hide all this, but given the current situation, it was crucial to escape from confinent.

The God of Lies and Deceit fixed his gaze on Mira,

"Release quickly, and know that betrayal is happening!

I will find myself in the future and then lend you a helping hand."

Faced with Slaier’s urging, Mira looked helplessly at Vina Kana.

Seeing the latter nod, the girl felt a bit more confident.

"So, what shall we do?"

Mira asked.

Slaier pointed with his chin at the stone monunt that trapped him and then said:

"Do you see this monunt? You need to untie the ritual on it, starting with the blood of a rooster, bones of a winged tiger, vermilion grass..."

The God of Lies and Deceit spewed a long list of nas, most of which were exceedingly precious herbs.

Moreover, the thod to undo the ritual was imnsely complex, clearly not sothing that could be completed shortly.

"It doesn’t need to be that complicated."

Before Slaier could finish listing everything, Vina Kana coldly interrupted.

Slaier paused, looking at Vina Kana as if she were a fool.

"This is a monunt created by Hiris! By the way, He didn’t know it was used to trap ; I haven’t found anyone more reverent of the Law than Him."

Vina Kana paid no attention to the noisy Slaier; she stepped forward slowly, unsheathing her longsword, Sofia, which glimred with a soft silver-white light.

Raising the sword, Vina Kana stabbed towards the ritual on the stone monunt.

"Isaya."

As the Ancient Language word for "Fate" fell, with the longsword as a dium, the ritual on the stone monunt sealing Slaier was instantly distorted.

The monunt began to crack inch by inch.

A mont later, Slaier fell from mid-air onto the ground.

He looked at Vina Kana with incredulous eyes.

Then, rubbing the hair on his head, he said:

"It seems I am the real fool."

Then, the self-proclaid Slaier from the past slowly stood up.

"Where are you going?"

Mira noticed that he was about to go separate ways from them.

"To find myself and then stop Him."

Slaier didn’t turn back,

"This is the mission of a Divine, and besides, I do not wish to cause a major disaster."

As soon as the words left his mouth, a burst of purple smoke surged from beneath Slaier’s feet.

Next, the face of the God of Lies and Deceit faced the ground, and then he directly fell to the ground; in the blink of an eye, his entire body dissipated into the purple smoke.

Slaier had left.

Vina Kana slowly sheathed her longsword.

Mira turned her head and asked her:

"That... Can we trust what Slaier just said?"

"Mira, I see no signs of lying."

Vina Kana replied briefly.

The weight dropped from Mira’s chest, and then, she looked ahead,

"Well, let’s move forward... not knowing what lies ahead..."

After speaking, the girl added in her mind:

"Anos... I wonder how you are doing?"
