The old leader said, "I can pass the ssage for you. Whether those guys dare to et you, I’m not sure. After what you showed this ti, you scared those old tirs quite a bit."
He sounded cheerful. He didn’t like those arrogant Immortality Cultivators either. They were already beyond his control, and he’d rather work with Johnnie instead.
"Alright, thanks, old leader." Johnnie said. Then he thought of sothing. "One more thing. Can you deal with Ava?"
He had destroyed the cha Divine Nation that Ava built, so they were enemies to the end now.
That thing invading Earth made him uneasy. He had to find a way to end it.
The old leader thought for a mont and said, "Ava is special. It’s like a data lifeform and can live on any network. We can’t handle it. But there are so core areas it can’t breach for now, so you don’t need to worry about more missile strikes like that."
Johnnie felt helpless. If even the country’s top tech experts couldn’t stop Ava, then it might really be unbeatable.
If it lived on the net, would shutting down or destroying the network kill it?
But he soon shook off that idea. Ava was a consciousness-type being, not sothing that relied only on the net.
Right now, other than the Seven Sword, he had no way to kill a consciousness lifeform.
Even with the Seven Sword, Ava would have to be attached to so physical object.
Looks like he’d have to figure it out later.
Johnnie stopped dwelling on it, hung up, and went to Cecilia’s room.
It was warm and cozy, arranged personally by Crysic.
Cecilia lay on the bed, still asleep and unable to disconnect from the ga. Luckily, she wasn’t in danger for now.
Looking at her cute face, with a trace of worry between her brows, Johnnie couldn’t help feeling a pang in his heart.
"Hm? Cecilia seems stronger?" He looked puzzled. He could clearly feel her aura had grown.
She hadn’t logged off during this ti and couldn’t fuse real-world attributes. Did she get so lucky chance in the ga?
But that shouldn’t affect the real world, right?
Johnnie was puzzled, but he couldn’t see anything clearly wrong with Cecilia. No matter what happened, he had to save her as soon as possible. The missile attack in the real world had already delayed him for four days.
Luckily, the Demon race seed to have a special purpose for capturing Cecilia and hadn’t hurt her.
Even so, he couldn’t relax. From Lina and the others, he learned the Universe Continent was calm lately. The Montemar Empire had faced a few attacks, but with its chanical weapons and a chanical Domain, it handled them easily, so he didn’t need to step in.
Feeling a bit relieved, Johnnie activated the link crystal and re-entered the ga.
He was still in the undead monsters’ nest in the land of confusion.
Heh heh...
Low growls echoed around him as undead monsters respawned. Seeing Johnnie appear, they roared and rushed at him.
"Courting death!"
Johnnie sneered, summoned the Void Sword, and started another slaughter.
In an instant, he wiped out tens of thousands of undead monsters, gaining over thirty thousand proficiency points.
This cave had nothing special besides these weak undead monsters.
Johnnie didn’t keep exploring. He left for Blade King City to rescue Cecilia.
On the way, he could also keep killing Elental Slis to finish The Mage of the Five Elents stage 6 advancent quest.
The Seven Sword was also about to et its upgrade conditions—it only needed to kill a little over a million more beings.
That was a huge number, but for Johnnie, it was easy.
Buzz!
Spatial power rippled as he summoned Nalorin Sylvia, Benz, and Jack from the Map of Heaven and Earth’s space.
"Master, did you solve the crisis in the real world?" Nalorin Sylvia looked at Johnnie and asked curiously.
He nodded, then thought of sothing and said, "Sylvia, do you want to go back to Earth?"
"Go back to Earth?" Nalorin Sylvia was stunned. She asked in surprise, "Master, you can take back to the Earth world?"
Johnnie nodded and went on, "But you’ll need to accept as your master and sign a soul contract with ."
He wanted to test if beings from the Universe Continent who signed a soul contract with him could use the Map of Heaven and Earth to co to Earth.
Nalorin Sylvia frowned. "Master, that’s not necessary. I’ve already taken you as my teacher, and I’m loyal to you."
If she signed a soul contract, she would be completely bound to Johnnie. Even if he made an extre demand, she couldn’t resist.
Johnnie said, "You misunderstand. Only by signing a soul contract with can you co to Earth."
"I see." Nalorin Sylvia shook her head. "I don’t care much about going back to Earth. But our family’s Ancestor is from Earth and wants to visit ho. Still, they would never agree to sign a soul contract with you, Master."
Nalorin Sylvia was born on the Universe Continent and didn’t feel much attachnt to Earth. She was just a bit curious. Whether she could go there or not didn’t matter much to her.
Johnnie was surprised. "Your Nalorin Family’s Ancestor has lived for more than three thousand years?"
Nalorin Sylvia nodded and explained, "Master, a Divine powerhouse—even a weak Half-God—can live ten thousand years if nothing goes wrong."
Ten thousand years!
For humans with short lives, that’s almost like immortality.
In his past life, Johnnie had been at the bottom and had never seen things like this.
No wonder so many people chase godhood. Beyond the power, the lure of a ten-thousand-year life is hard to resist. Even if the heavenly tribulation of becoming a god is dangerous, people will still take the risk.
But in this life, reaching the Domain realm is no problem for Johnnie. He could start the heavenly tribulation right now, and he’s confident he could withstand it and beco a Half-God. But Johnnie wants to aim even higher before attempting the breakthrough.
He just wants to test his idea: if a being from the Universe Continent signs a soul contract with him, can he bring them to the real world?
Since Nalorin Sylvia didn’t want to sign a soul contract, he looked at Benz.
Benz’s heart skipped. "My lord, I can sign a soul contract with you, but you have to promise not to make do anything too much."
"What counts as too much?" Johnnie asked, curious.
"Mining. Mining day and night." Benz said.
Johnnie was speechless and dropped the topic. Whether he could bring lives from the Universe Continent into the real world didn’t matter that much right now.
He looked at Jack and said, "Let’s go to Blade King City."
Johnnie already knew there was a trap for him in Blade King City, but no matter the danger, he would save Cecilia.
Jack didn’t dare resist and obediently led the way.
They kept moving through the dense forest. From ti to ti, strong monsters jumped out. Aside from Slis, Nalorin Sylvia killed all the other monsters. She wanted to max out The Technique of Swordsmanship for Controlling Swords as soon as possible to earn Johnnie’s legacy.
There were many Slis here, and they were stronger too. Most were at stage 7, and rare light-attribute and dark-attribute Slis even showed up.
"Master, there’s probably a Sli nest nearby." Jack warned, looking at the thousands of Slis Johnnie had cut down with ease. Only near a Sli nest would there be this many.
"That’s good." Johnnie’s eyes lit up. If he was right, killing the Sli leader would drop Elental Heart shards.
He already had two Elental Heart shards. He only needed one more to fuse a complete Elental Heart.
By refining the Elental Heart, he could train all Elental Gifts and grasp elental laws.
Lately, the Dark Golden Golem had used the Gastro‑sac Transmuter to refine and absorb a lot of Sli mucus. It had already comprehended the laws for all five of its five-elent Elental Gifts.
Still, pushing it further will be hard.
He still had a lot of rare Sli mucus—wind, lightning, and ice/snow. As long as he refined the Elental Heart, raising them all to law comprehension wouldn’t be a problem.
There were also light- and dark-attribute Slis here.
Johnnie had already grasped the Dark Law in the Demon Lair. He didn’t know why refining the Dark-Spirit Pearl didn’t affect him.
[Killed a stage 7 wind Sli. You gained 22 EXP.]
[Ding! After slaughtering 10,000,000 lives, Seven Sword has advanced to stage 5. Stats increased; new skill unlocked: Sevenfold Severance.]
[Seven Sword: divine artifact, current stage 5 (bound), growth. Physical Damage 700; Four basic attributes 700; Attack Speed 10; Crit 10; Life Steal 5%; Lethal 5; Flying-sword speed 2; Penetration 2.]
[seven kill: artifact effect. The Great Sword can split into seven small flying swords.]
[Instant Kill: Seven Sword attacks have a 1% chance to instantly kill the enemy.]
[Sevenfold Severance: Forbidden Technique. Strike the enemy seven tis in a row, dealing tenfold stacking damage. Each strike permanently costs 10%–20% Health points. Cannot be interrupted or stopped, and it will definitely hit. If Health points reach zero, you die permanently. Use with caution.]
[Growth: killing. Slaughter 100,000,000 lives to reach stage 6.]
The system prompts flashed. Seven Sword finally reached stage 5. It was a huge boost over before, and it even unlocked a powerful skill.
"Forbidden Technique?" Johnnie was puzzled. He had heard of Forbidden Spells, but this was his first ti seeing a Forbidden Technique.
He read the Sevenfold Severance description, frowning.
This skill was terrifying: tenfold stacking damage, can’t be interrupted, can’t be stopped, and it will always hit the target.
When all seven strikes land, it can deal ten million tis the damage.
At his current strength, even a Divine powerhouse might not withstand it.
But the price was too high: permanent loss of 10%–20% Health points per strike.
The Crimson Soul Demon was still trapped in the Map of Heaven and Earth. It could spawn endless Blood Spirits. Killing them would always drop a Blood Spirit Pearl, and refining one adds 1 Health point.
So raising his Health points cap was pretty easy for Johnnie.
But if Sevenfold Severance ever cost more than 100% of his Health points, he would die for good.
