While Luca and Donlow were on their mission, the head of House Mingwell, Cleanload, convened an urgent eting with the family mbers at their headquarters.

All the family mbers were filled with confusion. They could not understand why the head of the family had summoned them at this particular mont.

"My Lord, why have you called us together? Has the family encountered a major problem?" Door, Cleanload's favorite grandson, asked with a hint of doubt. He was the only one bold enough to speak out in such a situation. However, this ti, he did not receive Cleanload's usual favor.

Cleanload responded coldly, "This is not the ti for you to ask such questions! Sit down quickly!"

The elderly Cleanload's eyes swept over everyone in the room with a cold gaze. "What I am about to say is of great importance, and all of you need to listen carefully!"

The family mbers of Mingwhel Family imdiately stopped smiling. They hurried to sit in their seats.

Cleanload slowly returned to the main seat. He glanced at his butler, who nodded and then snapped his fingers.

Four security guards stepped forward and placed a heavy box in the center of the room.

As the box hit the floor, everyone felt its imnse weight.

When everyone's eyes were fixed on the box, Cleanload finally spoke.

"Since the establishnt of the Federation, our Mingwhel Family has not been able to gain the rights we deserve." After saying this, Cleanload coughed twice.

Everyone realized that what Cleanload was about to reveal was sothing shocking.

"The reason for this situation, in my opinion, is largely due to Luca. He has made enemies of all the major families in Imperial Capital!" Cleanload's voice grew more furious as he continued.

"The other families are stronger than ours, so even though they have been weakened by Luca, they can still gain power at the high levels of the Federation. But we cannot. However, we cannot just let this go!"

With these words, Cleanload walked over to the box.

He kicked the box with his foot.

In the next mont, the box suddenly opened, and a massive, twisted humanoid figure erged from inside.

The twisted figure looked like a giant without skin, its body surrounded by an overwhelming chaotic energy.

"We must prove to everyone that our family still possesses great power by eliminating Luca! This is what I have to tell you today!"

All the mbers of the Mingwhel Family fixed their gaze on the twisted humanoid figure.

So of the more powerful individuals realized that the twisted humanoid must have been created using artificial monster technology. This made them slightly uneasy.

One of them stood up and asked, "Master, do you think this could provoke Morning Star? As far as I know, Morning Star doesn't allow others to use artificial monster technology. Moreover, they have a very close partnership with Luca."

"Morning Star is also our enemy! We don't need to consider their feelings!" Cleanload said with firm resolve.

"We only need to find a way to eliminate Luca. Once he's dead, everything our family has done will be beyond reproach."

Cleanload, with his hair turning white, opened his eyes wide and roared at everyone in the room.

Everyone was intimidated by his words, but just then, the door to the room was suddenly pushed open.

Luca and Donlow entered, clapping their hands and smiling.

"Although you're already quite old, your ambition is still intact!" Luca said sarcastically.

Donlow, on the other hand, gave a cold, unwavering stare at everyone present.

The two of them had arrived here a quarter of an hour earlier. They hadn't acted imdiately because they wanted to hear what Cleanload had to say.

Now that they knew Cleanload's true intentions, there was no need to keep him or the Mingwhel Family alive.

The sudden appearance of the two caused panic among all the people present. mbers of the Mingwhel Family began scattering in all directions.

However, Cleanload remained where he was, his eyes coldly fixed on Luca and Donlow.

"Do you really think you can defeat so easily? You are truly naive!" Cleanload spat.

As soon as his words ended, the twisted humanoid, filled with chaotic power, suddenly rushed toward Luca and Donlow in a frenzy.

Luca remained calm, extending his left hand and summoning a large amount of Dreamweaving Mist.

anwhile, Donlow disappeared into the shadows.

At first, the twisted humanoid gained the upper hand in the battle.

Seeing this, Cleanload couldn't hide his smug smile.

However, within just a few minutes, the tide of the battle turned.

Luca used Starseeker to swiftly sever the twisted humanoid's legs, while Donlow pierced its heart from behind.

As the twisted humanoid was destroyed, a look of terror spread across Cleanload's face. He struggled to escape into the ossuary tunnels.

"I'll go after Cleanload. You handle the rest of the Mingwhel Family!" Luca told Donlow.

Donlow nodded, and the two split up to carry out their tasks.

Donlow's part was relatively easy, as the other mbers of the Mingwhel Family weren't particularly powerful. Furthermore, they didn't have access to the family's sacred artifacts.

Luca, on the other hand, ran into so trouble.

Though Cleanload was old, once he entered the ossuary tunnels, his speed suddenly increased drastically. Luca could barely keep up with his pace.

A few minutes later, the two reached the end of the passage.

It opened into a sealed room, filled with vaults lining the walls. In the center of the room, inside a transparent glass case, lay a rusty iron box. There was no doubt that this iron box was the sacred artifact of the Mingwhel Family—the Prison of the Gods.

Cleanload charged to the center of the room. Without hesitation, he opened the glass case and took the Prison of the Gods into his hands.

"Luca! Don't co any closer! If you do, I'll use this artifact to defeat you and turn you to dust!" Cleanload's voice rang out, threatening.

It seed his threat worked. Luca stopped advancing and carefully observed the Prison of the Gods.

As a sacred artifact, the Prison of the Gods was undoubtedly powerful. To avoid getting hurt in the battle, Luca needed to be extra cautious. He had to fully understand how the artifact worked before taking any action.

Luca's careful approach led Cleanload to make a misjudgnt.

Cleanload thought his intimidation had succeeded.

He grinned maliciously. "So, you do have sothing you're afraid of! The depth of our Mingwhel Family's power is beyond anything you can imagine! ou think you can escape? The Godspell Vault consus all!"

With those words, Cleanload opened the Prison of the Gods.

A powerful suction force suddenly erupted.

All the vaults in the room were violently ripped from the walls. Countless vaults were sucked into the Prison of the Gods.

Luca, naturally, was also affected.

However, Luca imdiately slamd Starseeker into the ground, embedding it deeply into the earth. This prevented the Prison of the Gods' suction from affecting him too much at first.

But, as ti passed, Luca would eventually be sealed by the Prison of the Gods.

Seeing this, Cleanload's grin widened.

"Stop struggling! You can't defeat such a powerful artifact! I had originally planned to team up with other families to assassinate you, but I never imagined you would have the audacity to co to our Mingwhel Family's stronghold. This actually saves the trouble."

Cleanload was certain that victory was in his grasp.

He didn't even rush to use the full power of the Prison of the Gods.

anwhile, Luca, coldly observing Cleanload, was quickly calculating his next move.

He didn't believe the Prison of the Gods could be used without any negative consequences. However, Cleanload appeared to be unaffected by any such side effects, which left Luca slightly puzzled.

At the sa ti, Donlow, who was fighting the other mbers of the Mingwhel Family, noticed sothing strange.

One by one, the mbers of the Mingwhel Family were dying. Their deaths seed as though all the blood had been drained from their bodies.

"What is going on? Is this the result of Luca's attack?" Donlow wondered, a little confused.

But she didn't slow her pace.

Eventually, she succeeded in killing all the remaining mbers of the Mingwhel Family.

Just as she killed the last mber, Cleanload's expression in the underground chamber changed dramatically.

He felt his life force rapidly draining away.

Luca, of course, noticed the change in his opponent's condition.

"So, the negative effect of the Prison of the Gods is to absorb the life force of its user or their descendants. Since Donlow has killed all your descendants, the life force required to power the Prison of the Gods must co from you."

Cleanload stared at Luca in shock.

He could never have imagined that his family mbers would be wiped out so quickly.

"You've greatly underestimated Donlow's strength. But you can't bla her; everything that's happened to your family is a consequence of your own actions," Luca said coldly.

Cleanload's life force drained away rapidly.

In just a few seconds, his entire life force was consud, and his desiccated corpus disintegrated into alkali ash.

The Prison of the Gods dropped to the ground.

Although the life force of the Mingwhel Family had been completely drained, the Prison of the Gods didn't stop. Everything around it was continually being devoured by its power.

Luca quickly moved to the Prison of the Gods. With lightning speed, he sealed the box.

During the process, he could feel his own life force being drained. But as soon as the box was closed, the loss of life force ca to an imdiate halt.
