"Don’t die out there, Celestial," Sorrow grinned bittersweetly as he readied his own weapon, "If you die here, a fate worse than death may await you if you’re unlucky enough."

Leon simply nodded as he readied himself for battle, his expression neutral and focused on the darkness around them.

And just like that, the place got much darker than it had been before, though Leon was able to see perfectly in the darkness thanks to his sub-talent.

In fact, he felt every single shadow move around him, his senses on high alert as his SSS-Level sub-talent helped him detect anything hiding in the dark.

Even the faintest movents in the darkness was sothing he could see clearly, nothing escaped his perception.

’The [God of Darkness] better prepare himself when he fights soday,’ Leon grinned at the thought, ’Oh wait, he probably also has the sa abilities and more, nevermind.’

Leon truly couldn’t imagine how he’d be able to face the gods one day, as each of them was the master of their respective field.

Around half an hour passed where all the mbers who stayed awake were on edge, waiting for sothing to happen, and eventually, Leon sensed it.

Thump!

Leon sensed sothing moving in the darkness around him that the others didn’t notice at all, a slithering sound that was almost imperceptible.

Even Sorrow was completely unaware as he looked at another direction entirely while Leon felt a shadow move through the darkness directly toward two sleeping mbers of the group.

He didn’t even waste a single second and rushed forward at full speed, his sword already swinging.

SLASH!

And indeed, right before a massive [Hollow Snake] was about to swallow two mbers of the group whole, Leon cut off its head cleanly, killing it instantly before it could make a sound.

"H-Holy shit, that ca out of nowhere!"

"Thanks... Celestial."

Ding!

[You have killed "Hollow Snake (Level 89)" and gained 150,000 experience points.]

[100% Drop Rate has triggered...]

At the sa ti, Sorrow sensed sothing approaching from the other side and killed two beasts that got near him with swift strikes, while his undead pet managed to kill another on its own.

Seeing that the monsters were coming from all directions, Leon decided use his own skeletons to help protect the other mbers, as they could be used a atshields if needed.

And just like that, the hours passed as the mbers killed the monsters that appeared once in a while, and eventually switched to other mbers once the previous ones were too tired to continue fighting.

The sun rose in the distance over the mountains, and both Leon and Sorrow looked at the massacre they had mainly caused throughout the long night.

"There’s usually always at least one casualty or two every night," Sorrow explained to Leon with a grateful tone, "But thanks to you helping us... no one died tonight, not a single person."

"...No problem, glad I could help," Leon shrugged, not wanting to make a big deal out of it.

Overall, Leon had killed 16 monsters during the night, most of them in a single strike, and he had lost many skeletons that had protected the mbers from harm.

Thanks to all that experience, he managed to level up once more before the night ended.

Ding!

[Congratulations, you have leveled up to Level 84.]

[All your attributes have increased by 1,000 and you have gained 1,000 free attribute points.]

Due to the fact that [Heaven’s Might] had evolved after reaching 750 Reputation Points back in the [Awakener District], Leon gained much more attribute points than he would have before!

He also gained many more items from the drops, though he didn’t check them yet because he wanted to do it later when he had more ti.

Overall, everything went smoothly with no problems whatsoever, and Leon even found it interesting to use his insane strength to help others for a change.

He had wanted to take a short break when he found this settlent, but in the end, he didn’t sleep at all throughout the night, and he wasn’t even tired when the sun ca up.

He ate breakfast with the mbers of the group, who all praised him for his help and asked again if he wanted to join their expedition permanently.

"Let the man rest and do his own thing," Sorrow laughed loudly as he patted Leon’s back, "He’s probably busy with his own goals, so don’t bother him too much!"

And once everything was done and the rest of the group were ready to leave and continue their journey, Leon shook the man’s hand firmly and said goodbye.

"Make sure to ask if you ever want anything, I have a pretty good reputation among the undead race, so I can help you out if you need connections."

Ding!

[You have received a friend request from "BladeOfSorrow"]

Leon accepted it imdiately because he saw no reason not to, thinking that this connection might be very useful in the future for sothing.

[Friend List: 8]

Leon’s friend list was climbing nicely now, though this new friendship had co out of nowhere, still, he wasn’t unhappy about it at all.

’At this rate I’ll have ten friends before the [Eternal Battlefield] even starts,’ he grinned internally, ’That ain’t so bad.’

With that final thought, Leon continued his journey alone through the [Hollow Mountains], leaving the friendly group behind.

Eventually he managed to co out of the mountains before the night could fall again and progressed further toward his destination.

Another two days passed as Leon crossed a few more regions in the [Hollow Plains], leveling up twice more until eventually, he reached the place where the [Ti Tower] was supposed to be on his map.

And once he looked up at the exact spot where it was marked on his [World Map], expecting to see a massive tower looming over him, there was absolutely nothing there.

"What?" Leon said, completely confused by what he was seeing, or rather, what he wasn’t seeing.
