Su Ran’s voice paused before he continued, "It’s a sha about those soul fragnt pieces. If the system refreshes them, then there’s no chance of this Beast Spirit reviving."
"Whether it revives or not, what does it matter to us as long as we can dig graves!"
The Beast King’s skin was tough, and the bananas couldn’t penetrate it at all. It simply gave up the idea of interfering, walked to the side, and continued digging, not forgetting to encourage, "Brother, co join! This battle might last a while; don’t waste ti. The more shovels we dig, the better!"
"Wow, you’re really brave! Digging graves right in front of Beast King Xisi? Isn’t that provoking hatred? Be careful it doesn’t co after you!"
Seeing the banana’s recklessness, Su Ran was startled. You should know, this Beast King Xisi is a guardian BOSS, and what it hates the most is unauthorized grave-digging. Digging graves in front of it is like tying a noose for the grim reaper; it’s a sign you’ve lived long enough!
"No worries, no worries. First, there’s no telling if the Beast King cares about us. Even if it does, it can’t spare the ti! Besides, this guy has already been subdued by Uncle Yu, so the guardian BOSS role doesn’t exist anymore. At most, it’s just a mount!"
Banana’s reasoning sounded convincing, pointing towards Beast King Xisi’s direction and laughing, "Look, I’ve been digging for so long, and it hasn’t reacted. In normal tis, it would have been hopping mad by now!"
"Have to say, your twisted logic does make sense!"
Su Ran glanced anxiously at Beast King Xisi, which was under siege, realizing it had no ti to pay attention here. Even if Banana dug the graves right in front of it, it wouldn’t matter. As Banana said, once it beca a pet, its guardian BOSS career gloriously retired.
"That’s right, hurry up and dig. If you find another box, throw it out imdiately!"
Banana was full of energy, amazed at how the situation turned around like this. Good thing these ghosts were indiscriminate, attacking everyone, which let him get through this crisis smoothly. As for the missing soul fragnt pieces, they didn’t affect him at all. Whether the Beast Spirit revives or not, who cares!
Even if the sky falls, don’t interrupt him while digging graves!
"Let’s go, find a safer place to dig; it’s too dangerous here."
Su Ran considered everything, and without staying longer, led Banana away.
"Brother, did you discover sothing?"
Seeing Su Ran leaving in a hurry, Banana felt bewildered and asked curiously once they were far enough away.
"Uncle Yu isn’t stupid. If he retraces his steps and circles back from the outside, won’t he trap us here? By then, even escaping would be troubleso!"
Su Ran expressed his concerns; Uncle Yu had the capability to subdue Beast King Xisi, and he should not be underestimated!
"Brother, you’re overthinking. If Uncle Yu were that smart, would he be a death-row prisoner?"
Banana didn’t take it seriously. But since Su Ran wanted to change locations, he didn’t say much. Anywhere is the sa digging; a change of scenery might even bring more luck to find better treasures!
"For him to have endured in prison for so many millennia, it’s proof of his extraordinary nature. I’ll go open the stone gate first, and we’ll et halfway up the mountain."
Su Ran, upon exiting the cave, didn’t linger and headed straight for the stone gate halfway up the mountain, using the Treading on Air Technique to its fullest, soon leaving Banana behind.
"Brother, didn’t you say there was danger inside the stone gate? Why go there now?"
Banana was puzzled, unable to understand Su Ran’s thought process.
"Danger doesn’t discriminate between friend or foe; it’s perfect for dealing with Uncle Yu!"
"Got it."
Banana watched Su Ran’s graceful departure with admiration while he could only climb slowly, the gap between them not just a little...
"As guessed, this stone gate needs a key to open!"
Su Ran went right to the stone gate halfway up the mountain. Seeing the keyhole beside the gate confird this fact.
He looked down briefly, didn’t see Uncle Yu’s figure, and finally relaxed, inserted the key into the keyhole, and even before he could turn it, the gate automatically opened.
"Damn, the keyhole is just for show? Not locked?"
While Su Ran was complaining, a violent suction force appeared suddenly, and before he could utter a word, he was pulled into the dark space inside the stone gate, which slamd shut after him.
...
"Brother, where are you?"
After finally climbing halfway up the mountain, Banana didn’t find Su Ran’s figure, an uneasy thought crossed his mind, so he shouted around, "Is this really the ti to play hide and seek? Hurry out! If Uncle Yu cos chasing, we’re in big trouble!"
"I see you! Still hiding! Huh? The key!"
After shouting several tis without a response from Su Ran, Banana’s unease grew more pronounced, especially after seeing the key still inserted in the keyhole. Only then did he have to admit that Overturning Water ran into trouble!
"Overturning Water, you can’t be in trouble! If you die, I won’t make it alone!"
With Su Ran gone as his pillar, Banana suddenly felt overwheld, and his burdens seed heavier. He dared not linger, turned the key, and opened the stone gate.
No choice, although aware of unknown dangers, Banana still decided to venture inside; after all, Overturning Water was in there, and he was willing to take the risk even if it ant death!
This ti, there was no frightening suction force. After putting away the key, Banana steeled himself and plunged into the dark space inside the stone gate. He wanted to see what kind of trap ensnared Overturning Water, making it impossible even to pull out the key!
"Brother, where are you?"
Inside, Banana held a torch while carefully advancing, but before he took a few steps, a clanging sound ca from behind, scaring him as if electrified, making his hair stand on end.
At the mont, he felt possessed by a ghost, his neck stiffened, and he slowly turned around, only to find the stone gate had closed automatically, easing so of his tension.
"Damn, it’s an automatic door; almost scared to death!"
Banana grumbled in annoyance, kicked the stone gate hard to vent his frustration, and then his eyes lit up, chuckling to himself, "This door closed at just the right ti. I have the key; let’s see how Uncle Yu enters here!"
But at that mont, sothing shocking occurred.
The stone gate opened again, and Uncle Yu’s figure appeared in his sight.
Stunned, Banana felt slapped in the face, hurriedly retracted his previous thoughts, and in a voice filled with uncertainty, he asked, "That’s impossible; without a key, how did you open the door?"
"The door’s not locked; what’s there to be surprised about?"
Uncle Yu strode in, made eye contact with Banana without any aggressive intent, speaking calmly, "Spirit, do you know where my nephew has gone?"
"How would I know!"
Banana dared not stay alone with Uncle Yu. After throwing out that remark, he fled with the torch, regardless of traps inside; escape first!
Brother, if you don’t co out soon, prepare to collect my corpse...
Banana was desperately anxious, hoping Su Ran would appear soon to fend off that detestable Uncle Yu.
But the greater the hope, the greater the disappointnt; there was nothing around him but the echoing sound of footsteps, tightening his nerves and making his pace erratic.
"Thinking of escaping? It’s not that simple!"
Uncle Yu lost patience with toying with Banana, unfolded his black wings, soared up, and chased after Banana, sneering, "Spirit, surrender obediently, and I’ll grant you a complete corpse!"
"Get lost!"
Banana understood clearly, in the dark environnt, the torch easily reveals his position, so he threw it aside and ran with all his might within the dark space. He was determined, even if he crashed into the mountain wall, it was better than falling into Uncle Yu’s hands!
