Yura pulled back slightly, wiping her face with the back of her hand. She looked him up and down, taking in his appearance, the long hair, the rough skin, the tired eyes.

"You... look like you have been through hell," she said quietly.

Min-jae let out a shaky breath. "I have."

Yura sniffled and sat down on an empty crate. Her voice was still trembling. "Oppa, where are we? How did we get here? Why am I here?"

Min-jae sat across from her, knees touching hers.

"This world is called...I don’t even know, but this is a small town called Briar Glen. And Yura, you’ve read this Manhwa, don’t tell you can’t recognise my face?"

Yura looks at him a little closely and her eyes widened, she wanted to give herself a snack on the head.

How could she not recognise this face!

"You-you’re Kaizar! I can’t believe this, if you’re Kaizar then we’re in the novel world and..."

-_-

If he was Kaizar, that ant he was married to the male lead.

"Oppa are you gay now?"

-_-

Min-jae chuckled, there was no way he was beating the gay allegations so there was no no need denying it.

"Yeah. I kinda love my husband.."

Yura eyes widened, it was shock first and then a pleasant smile appeared on her face.

"Okay! As long as you’re happy.."

Min-jae knew he had to ask the difficult questions now.

If she was here then it ant two things.

She was sohow unconscious in the real world or she was dead. And she had a feeling it was the latter.

"So..the Glioblastoma finally won?"

Yura turned to face the field, the wind blowing through her hair.

"Yeah, I’m sure mum must be balling her eyes out but should I say I’m a bit happy? Here I don’t have to live that way anymore, here I’m healthy, I don’t even have to worry about a common cough."

Yura fisted the grass around her fingers tightly.

She didn’t want to return ho.

"Would it be selfish, if I said I didn’t want to go ho?"

Min-jae shook his head, their parents would always be their parents but they also had their own lives to live.

"No, I also don’t want to go back ho. Not that I like life here, but the man I love is here and i don’t want to leave him.."

Yura sighed, if they were both being selfish what about their parents.

"Mum and Dad will be fine? They’re young they can have another kid. We only have one life which we lost and sohow go a second chance. Sotis I wonder if this is all a dream and when I open my eyes, everyone I know and love would disappear..

Min-jae watched her hands tighten around the grass, the knuckles paling from the pressure. The breeze moved through the field in slow waves, brushing against their clothes, soft against their faces. For a mont it felt like the world was holding its breath with them.

He shifted closer and rested his hand over hers. Her grip loosened only slightly.

"Yura," he said softly, "our parents loved us, but love is not a chain. They would never want you to live your whole life in pain just to make them happy. And you are right. Here, you are healthy. Here, you can breathe without fear."

Yura swallowed, her throat bobbing. "I could barely eat near the end," she whispered. "I couldn’t walk without soone holding . Every night I woke up feeling like the world was ending. And now I can run, I can talk, I can feel the sun without getting tired. Why would I ever want to go back?"

She looked up at him again. Her eyes were wet but steady now.

"What about you?" she asked. "What is it like here for you?"

Min-jae rubbed the back of his neck. "Complicated," he admitted. "I was frad. I am on the run. I cannot return ho. I cannot see ical, and I wake every morning terrified that sothing happened to him while I am stuck here doing farm work."

Yura blinked. "Seraphine... she is the villain lady, right?"

"Yes. And she is smarter in real life than she was in the story. More dangerous too. I didn’t have concrete evidence to take her down, but now that you’re here, now that I have you. She’s going down.."

-_-

"What does being here have to do with anything.."

Min-jae smiled, hasn’t she seen her face yet?

"We need to get you a mirror. Can’t you see that you look exactly like Georgiana?"

-_-

"Isn’t she dead?"

Min-jae smiled, how could she be dead when her lookalike was right here?

"Maybe, but from now on you’re going to be Georgina. I’ve read the novel, you know how to act. With you as my evidence, after one long month we can finally return to Aldoria.."

Min-jae stood up, feeling a bit excited at the thought of returning back to ical.

"I guess, I won’t pass being a rich noblelady.."

Min-jae clapped his hands together.

"Great! Let’s regroup with Saar and Odysseus and think of a plan.."

Yura got to her feet more slowly, brushing dirt from her skirt while still trying to grasp everything that had just happened.

"Wait," she said, narrowing her eyes. "Do I at least get a fancy dress? Or money? Or servants? Because if I’m doing noblewoman acting, I’m not doing it for free."

Min-jae laughed, the sound surprising even himself. "Yes. Fine. You will get all of that. But first we need Saar and Odysseus."

Yura blinked. "Those are not normal nas."

"They are not normal people."

Before she could question him, the crunch of footsteps reached them. They both turned.

"I found him, screwing so farmgirl.."

-_-

Saar clenched his fists, threatening to give Odysseus a punch.

"Why...i don’t need to know about that. I want you to et soone.." he stretched his hand towards Yura.

"I want you to et my younger sister. Georgina.."

Odysseus and Saar both froze.

Saar stopped mid-stride, the insult he was about to throw dying in his throat. His brows furrowed as he looked from Min-jae to Yura, then back again.

"Your... sister?" Saar repeated slowly.

Yura lifted her chin, clearly trying to look older, more dignified, as if she could magically age herself ten years in two seconds. "Georgina.." she corrected, a bit stiffly.

Odysseus’s eyes narrowed. He was always the sharper one. Always the one noticing things people didn’t say.

But even he seed caught off guard.

Georgina was supposed to be dead.

And this girl, this tiny, sharp-tongued, bedraggled stranger looked exactly like the girl in the portraits.

But they weren’t the sa person.

Odysseus took a careful step forward, gaze sweeping over Yura’s face with a soldier’s precision. Her eyes, her jawline, the shape of her nose. Everything matched.

Except the attitude.

"She is too young.." Saar said finally, breaking the silence.

Yura glared. "I swear, if one more person calls young—"

Saar raised both hands, backing up. "I only speak the truth..."

"Just ignore him.." Min-jae muttered, placing a hand between them before Yura threw herself at the man twice her size.

Odysseus crouched down in front of her. He wasn’t smiling. He wasn’t angry. Just... assessing.

Finally he said, "If you claim to be Georgina, then tell , where were you all this ti?"

Yura’s heart jumped into her throat. She opened her mouth but Min-jae cut in imdiately, stepping in front of her.

"She cannot answer that," he said firmly. "And she doesn’t have to."

Odysseus stood again. "If you expect the court to believe this, she must know what she is stepping into."

"And she will," Min-jae snapped. "But not now.."

The tension between them hung heavy for a mont.

Yura tugged at Min-jae’s sleeve. "Oppa... is it really safe to lie? Like, won’t they chop off my head if I ss up one sentence?"

Odysseus brightened. "Oh! Yes, they definitely would."

Yura’s soul practically left her body.

Min-jae slapped Saar lightly on the back of the head. "Stop talking."

Odysseus rubbed his skull. "What? I’m just being honest."

Saar crossed his arms. "He is not wrong."

Yura sank down onto the crate again. "I want to go back to my hospital bed."

"No, you don’t.." Min-jae said, crouching beside her. "You said you wanted to live. Really live. And right now, you have a purpose. A chance. And I—"

His voice cracked.

He swallowed.

"I need you, Yura."

That quiet admission softened sothing in her face. Her shoulders slumped forward.

"...Fine," she whispered. "I’ll do it. But you have to teach everything. How she talks. How she walks. What she eats. You know, princess things. And I want the dress. The fancy one. The one that sparkles."

Min-jae nodded, they would get her those.

They needed her to look the part anyway.

"We do not have the luxury of ti," Min-jae replied. "ical is alone. Seraphine is still free. And we... finally have sothing she cannot control."
