Chapter 265: Usopp vs. Izo

"Poison Dragon!!"

The vicious dragon head opened its mouth, revealing deadly fangs as it bit down at several commanders.

Having road the seas for many years, so of them had long since recognized this technique and hurriedly shouted to remind the others.

"Be careful! That’s Magellan’s deadly poison!"

"Blanco!"

"Leave it to !"

A fat man wearing a Napoleon hat and shouldering a large hamr jumped out. Faced with the poison dragon that others were extrely wary of, he charged straight at it.

"Behold my bottomless pit!"

Blanco laughed loudly and puffed out his stomach. Then, his stomach bizarrely transford into a giant pocket, directly swallowing the charging poison dragon in one go.

Then, a hole opened in his palm. With a flick of his arm, he poured out the poison directly. Thrown out along with it were so weapons that had been touched by the poison.

"I am a user of the Pocket-Pocket Fruit. I can turn any part of my body into a pocket, to store or spit out anything."

Blanco landed and stood firm, smiling proudly. "You condescending bastard, don’t compare the Whitebeard Pirates to the stray cats and dogs you’ve t before."

"Look at you, so smug."

So the Pocket-Pocket Fruit can be used for more than just storing things, Reiner laughed to himself.

He’s got sothing, but not much. When he poured out the poison just now, he noticed that so weapons soaked in the poison were also thrown out.

The pocket space was probably interconnected. The result of using it for defense was that the things stored inside would be damaged.

"Have a taste of your own poison!"

A fish-man shot out from the team. Namur covered his entire wrist with Armant Haki, and with a sweep of his palm across the ground, he flung the poison that had just been poured out towards Reiner.

"Fish-Man Karate: Gekisui!"

The speed of the liquid drops was comparable to a cannonball, their montum fierce.

A figure floated out from behind Reiner. After many years, that wisp of white twin-tails once again appeared by his side.

"Sand Wall!"

The mage undead, Frieren, modeled after her original form, waved her hand casually, and flying sand quickly condensed into a sand wall.

Bang!!

The purple droplets hit the sand wall, splashing out highly corrosive venom, which was then completely absorbed by the yellow sand.

Frieren raised her staff again, and scorching flas swirled and spread out, in the blink of an eye covering the sky for several hundred ters.

The gloomy sky, with its continuous lightning strikes, was instantly lit up. The entire space was filled with the light of lightning and fire, illuminating her expressionless, fair face, a coldness in the depths of her eyes that was chilling.

"Fire of the Wild Bite, Thunder Guidance, Banquet of Raging Pythons."

Scorching flas, violent lightning, and heavy yellow sand continuously condensed into pythons several ters thick.

"Hundred Snakes Annihilation!"

As Frieren’s staff swung down, dozens, even hundreds, of giant snakes powerfully danced their bodies, opening their ferocious, blood-red maws to bite and tear.

Faced with the majestic, sky-covering raging snakes, the commanders swallowed hard.

"This bastard is a real monster."

"Split up! Don’t gather together!"

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Powerful energy exploded one after another. Various colors blood like brilliant fireworks, in an instant blasting the earth into a devastated state.

The commanders continuously dodged under the rain of elental bombardnt and were quickly separated.

"Just one undead is this troubleso. How are we supposed to fight the rest..."

Looking up at the six or seven undead guarding Reiner, several commanders felt extrely frustrated.

Those were all undead who had appeared in the Summit War and had shown extrely brilliant performances. Besides Marco and a few others, none of them could handle one of them alone.

"Don’t panic, you idiots!"

Marco, in the air, shouted down at them, "His weakness is consumption! Use our nurical advantage to spread out and fight a war of attrition with him!"

"Understood!"

"Who’s panicking, you bastard!"

"Kingdew, Curiel, and I will handle this little girl!"

Blanco, the user of the Pocket-Pocket Fruit, shouted, and the others responded one after another.

"That big guy with the green face and fangs, Atmos, Namur, and I have got him!"

A man wearing a waterlon-head hat and shouldering a cannon shouted, and with that, he charged in the direction of the War Ogre.

"Let’s go, brothers!"

"Black Snake Reiner, although you are very strong, if we all swarm up, even you might not be able to defeat us all before your stamina runs out."

"You’re kind of discouraging your teammates, you stupid buffalo."

The various commanders of the Whitebeard crew chattered. They were all powerhouses who had been through hundreds of battles on the seas, and their coordination with each other was also very tacit. They quickly sprang into action.

A short, blond man with a Western-style sword quickly stepped forward, his figure speeding towards Sukuna, but was directly intercepted by Marco, who descended from the sky.

"You should switch to another one, Haruta. You guys can’t handle him."

Marco spoke in a low voice, his gaze grave as he looked at the man in the white robe standing straight with his arms crossed. Just standing there made one’s back feel cold.

He had cooperated with Sukuna to intercept Kizaru back then. The other’s swordsmanship had shocked him. Even Vista had never given him that feeling.

"Well, you guys can assign them as you wish."

Reiner let out a leisurely yawn and turned to observe the other battles. These undead were enough to give the opponent a hard ti.

It wasn’t that Reiner was looking down on people.

It was just that the lineup he had on hand was too damn luxurious!

In the distance, at the center of the island, a pillar of fire nearly a hundred ters in diater shot up into the sky. The dazzling firelight made the heavens and the earth dim for a mont.

Following that, dull rumbles were continuously heard.

The only ones who could cause such a commotion were, without a doubt, Ace and Luffy. As the two of them engaged, the battles in other locations also slowly heated up.

The first to go were the duels between the two top swordsn, and not far away, Usopp and Izo, who had started with a barrage of attacks.

Reiner cast his gaze over. The nearby land was covered in a variety of strange, colorful plants, which were attacking every enemy who ca close, friend or foe.

Usopp was continuously leaping between those highly aggressive plants, while at the sa ti dodging the plants’ attacks and firing at Izo.

"It seems you can only launch the strange plants, but can’t control their actions, right?"

Izo, while dodging in a fluster, also noticed this point. However, the successive attacks still made it difficult for him to think of a counterasure.

"You’re right. But after living on the Boin Archipelago for two years, I’ve long since familiarized myself with the habits of these plants."

Usopp jumped onto an attacking vine, and using the vine’s retracting and rising motion, he fired again from a high position, grinning. "I told you, this is my ho ground. Take this!"

The left-hand revolver, ’Cunning Fatty’, spun its cylinder rapidly. Several bullets, trailing yellow firelight, streaked across the low sky in bizarre trajectories, at extrely tricky angles.

After continuous training, Usopp’s curved trajectory shooting technique had beco even more superb.

Combined with the various special gunpowder and ’Green Star’ seeds hidden within, the moves he fired were even more unpredictable.

Sotis the bullet would explode into a pool of extrely sticky resin, which would affect one’s movent upon contact.

Sotis it was a super-wide-range poison mist, or a shower of pine needles, or thorny vines that swam and chased like snakes, with powerful explosives occasionally mixed in.

Even with the use of Observation Haki to predict, facing the covering fire bombardnt still left Izo struggling to cope.

More importantly...

"The distance is getting further and further. This is a big problem."

Izo’s expression was grave. As he continuously leaped and dodged, his gaze passed through the dense plants to look at Usopp, who was gradually moving out of his shooting range.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The bullets that had just been fired exploded at his feet. Before he could even land after jumping out of the firelight and thick smoke, the shells of two round bullets cracked open with a ’crack’ in front of his eyes, revealing two seeds inside.

A corner of Usopp’s mouth lifted, a smug glint flashing in his eyes.

"Heh heh, dodging the explosion doesn’t an it’s over."

The next mont.

One seed grew at an incredible speed. A large number of withered, yellow thorny branches frantically pursued the only living thing in the vicinity, Izo.

The other splashed out a large amount of liquid with a pungent sll, which attached itself to the thorns.

"Blazing Thorn Prison!"

Whoosh!

The heatwave from the explosion below imdiately ignited the highly flammable liquid, which spread along the frantically pursuing thorns at an extrely fast speed.

"Tch, you really have all sorts of things."

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Izo gritted his teeth and sneered. As he flipped in the air, he spread his arms and fired rapidly at the surrounding blazing thorns.

The broken thorns, carrying flas, scattered in all directions, and in turn, ignited the surrounding plants. Soon, he was in a sea of fire.

His clothes were torn in various places, revealing bleeding skin. At first, he could occasionally counterattack, but now he was just purely taking a beating.

Although he used guns, his fighting style was mainly based on close-to-mid-range rapid fire. He was not a sniper, and his range was far inferior to Usopp’s.

If the distance were closer, he could still rely on his stronger Haki, combat experience, and physical skills to suppress the other.

Now, other ans were useless, and he couldn’t compete in long-range shooting either. He was completely in a passive situation.

Not bad, Usopp.

The observing Reiner didn’t interrupt their duel, but just gave him a silent word of praise in his heart.

Changing his slingshot to a special handgun could greatly increase his rate of fire, which was clearly more in line with the tactical style of combining covering fire with various strange bullets.

Although it was a bit troubleso to have to package the seeds in special shell casings, this work could be prepared on a daily basis. As long as it wasn’t a long battle that lasted for the better part of a day, the consumption could basically be sustained.

The developnt of his Observation Haki was also an important factor in Usopp’s brilliant performance.

Predicting the opponent’s counterasures or dodging directions, and better using different bullets for advance lockdowns.

"Even the advantage of a quick-thinking mind can be brought into play in this fighting style. It’s already a nearly perfect tactic," Reiner thought to himself.

Unless he encountered a raw power suppression like Reiner’s, who could directly ignore those attacks and forcefully crush them,

...otherwise, once Usopp seized the initiative, most enemies wouldn’t be able to withstand this fighting style.

If he could improve his Armant Haki to enhance his attack thods, Usopp’s upper limit might have a chance to rise a bit more. Unfortunately, this was much more difficult.

Below, Izo’s breathing was becoming more and more rapid. It was clear that he was already a bit tired under the continuous suppression.

The opponent was consuming bullets, while he was consuming real stamina. If this continued, his defeat was only a matter of ti, Izo’s mind raced.

Forcing a breakthrough was a bit risky, but besides getting close, there was no other way.

After landing, he took a long, slow breath. Looking at Usopp in the distance, a faint sense of foreboding rose in his heart.

The other might also be waiting for him to force a breakthrough. He probably still had so tricks up his sleeve. Getting close probably wouldn’t be easy either.

Having made up his mind, Izo’s eyes hardened. He raised his hands, and the dual guns were aligned as he rapidly pulled the triggers.

Bang, bang, bang!!

The muzzles spit out two tongues of fire, and a large number of bullets poured out frantically.

"Dan-gan Gan!!"

The Haki-infused bullets were each wrapped in a circular slash, randomly cutting down the various plants in their path.

In an instant, the area was filled with flying fragnts of various colored plants.

Izo didn’t pause for a mont. He plunged headfirst without any hesitation, his feet tapping rapidly as his figure sped through the lush sea of plants.

Seeing Izo charge over, Usopp gripped his twin guns, a corner of his mouth lifting.

If the other had dragged it on, it would have been troubleso if he really ran out of bullets. Choosing to force a breakthrough was just playing into his hands.

As a squishy gunman who’s afraid of death, it’s normal to have a few billion tricks for dealing with close-range combat, right?
