It had been nine days since Luffy and his crew left Orange Town.

Sowhere on the East Blue, two rather simple wooden boats sailed side by side.

"I think this is way too reckless," Nami said seriously, her sharp, intelligent eyes full of energy.

"What is?" Luffy, sitting at the bow of the other small wooden boat while munching on an apple and gazing at the ocean, turned his head upon hearing her words.

"Heading for the Grand Line with no preparation at all—it's too risky."

"You're right," Luffy replied, swallowing the last of his apple. "Eating only fruit every day won't cut it. Too bad Alex is still hurt and can't catch any fish for us. Without at, I've got no energy!"

He glanced hungrily at Alex, who lay listlessly on Nami's boat. It was clear Luffy had almost reached his limit after going so long without at.

"There's not even any booze. This is getting real boring," Zoro said, lying flat on the boat with a lazy expression. From his half-closed eyes, you could tell boredom had completely taken hold.

"I tried catching fish for you guys yesterday, but my net got torn to shreds. Looks like it's ti to find a stronger, more durable fishing net," Alex said, his entire body wrapped in bandages as he lay on the boat, hands behind his head, staring up at the clear blue sky. A few seagulls soared above, and he thought the weather today was quite pleasant.

"The rest of you need to stop obsessing over food. That's the least of our problems!" Nami snapped, turning to Alex. "And you—injured like that, you shouldn't even be moving! You almost got dragged into the sea yesterday trying to fish! And didn't you say you forgot sothing a few days ago? Have you rembered yet?"

Alex's thoughts drifted back to yesterday. Just as he was hauling in the fishing net, a sudden strong wind kicked up, causing the wooden boats to sway violently and waves to churn the sea.

Luffy had extended his arms to help him hold onto the net, trying to keep their catch from escaping. But then the wind abruptly reversed direction, nearly capsizing Luffy's boat. As Luffy struggled to steady himself, he almost pulled Alex into the sea with him.

Seeing Alex about to fall into the water, Nami rushed to help—but the boats were rocking too hard. She lost her balance and tumbled forward.

In a panic, Nami instinctively grabbed whatever was in front of her... which just happened to be Alex's pants.

Alex, who had just steadied himself and was focused on pulling in the net, suddenly felt his waistband loosen. Alard, he shouted, "Who's pulling my pants off?!"

"What the hell are you doing?! Let go!" he cried, his face turning green.

"You idiot! If I let go, I'll fall into the sea!" Nami shouted back.

She wasn't wrong—if she hadn't grabbed his pants, she would've been thrown overboard and swept away by the raging waves.

Nami clung desperately to his pants as the boat rocked violently. But to Alex, she clearly didn't care one bit about his dignity. With one hand grabbing his waistband, he could barely hold the net with the other.

To make matters worse, a razor-toothed fish, twice the size of their boat, suddenly bit down on the net. If Zoro hadn't stepped in and sliced the beast apart, Alex would've been yanked straight into the sea.

The dead fish, still holding so of Alex's smaller catch in its mouth, floated off with the rolling waves.

In short, Alex nearly got dragged into the sea—not because he was bad at fishing, but because his crew were total liabilities. Luffy's help backfired, and Nami yanked his pants in the middle of a crisis. In that chaos, catching fish was a miracle in itself.

To be fair, Nami had warned him earlier about the incoming strong winds. Alex had prepared sowhat, but Luffy's sudden at cravings had thrown everything into disarray.

"I couldn't rember it, so I stopped trying. Don't worry, I'm totally fine," Alex said, noticing that everyone was now staring at him with concern after Nami brought it up.

The truth was, on the second day after leaving Orange Town, Alex had woken up feeling like he'd forgotten sothing important.

But what exactly?

He still rembered his past life on Earth. He rembered that he had transmigrated into this world. He rembered Luffy inviting him to sail, and everything that had happened recently.

It wasn't until Nami ntioned their next destination—Syrup Village—that Alex realized what was missing.

He vaguely rembered the na Syrup Village… but he couldn't recall anything about what was supposed to happen there.

He wracked his brain, but all he could rember was the na. Everything else was a complete blank.

When Alex ntioned his mory lapse to Luffy and Zoro, Luffy simply suggested eating more at to jog his mory. Zoro recomnded getting drunk to help things co back.

It wasn't that they didn't care. At first, when Alex said he might have amnesia, Luffy had freaked out, running up and down the boat like Alex was about to die. Zoro's expression had been grim.

But after so questioning, they realized Alex hadn't actually forgotten anything important. He still rembered everything about traveling with them.
