On the enormous floating island where the Kingdom of Albion once stood, Uzui Tengen found himself in the capital, Londinium.
At that ti, he was in the room of an inn in the city, watching the images of the battlefield projected by the Den-Den Mushi.
When he saw the gigantic water whirlpool ford by the hex size spell, even he couldn't help but exclaim in surprise.
The magic of this world had always seed rather weak to him. However, this whirlwind was sothing else entirely: if he faced it head-on, he would most likely end up seriously injured, if he managed to survive at all.
[Polu-purupuru, Polu-purupuru]
"Hmm?"
At that mont the Den-Den Mushi in his pocket began to ring.
"Report your code na."
As soon as he heard those words in reply, his expression changed completely, and he jumped to his feet.
"Reporting, Pillar of Sound!"
"Oh, so you're Uzui jonin from Umigakure... If possible, can you explain why the only Den-Den Mushi signal in the area is yours?"
Tengen, after hearing the question, quickly explained why he had separated from the others to act on his own.
"You said you're on a floating island in the sky?"
The Den-Den Mushi showed a look of surprise before adopting a serious expression and giving an imdiate order: "In that case, return imdiately to the Dinsional Gate point and give us a detailed report."
"Yes!"
Without hesitation, Uzui Tengen accepted the order and watched as the Den-Den Mushi closed its eyes, cutting off communication. However, his mind was filled with doubts.
The Dinsional Gate wasn't supposed to be activated again for at least six months. How was it possible that they had already reopened it, just over a month later?
But this wasn't the ti to question that. He quickly packed his belongings and headed for the location of the Dinsional Gate.
...
anwhile, the lands near the village of Tarbes had beco a battlefield, covered in blood and corpses, with magic raging unchecked, the roar of cannons echoing, and the screams of combatants filling the air.
The infantry troops of both sides clashed violently, shields and swords slamming into each other, while sharp spears pierced the enemy ranks, leaving behind a trail of blood and screams of pain.
In the sky, arrows rain down incessantly. Wizards hurl fireballs, tornadoes, and ice spears.
Even higher in the sky, fire dragons and griffin knights fought fiercely with each other, falling to the ground along with their riders, crushing the unfortunate soldiers below.
The magical war airships had reached the position of Tristain's army. Their enormous black tal cannons fired incessantly.
The situation for the Kingdom of Tristain was becoming increasingly desperate.
Even Biba began to consider whether he should intervene to help get rid of those magical airships and fire dragon riders.
Just as he was about to signal his griffin to take off, sothing unexpected happened in the sky.
"A fighter aircraft?"
"That boy hadn't left?"
Biba watched in amazent as a fighter aircraft fired relentlessly, shooting down one after another of the enormous fire dragons.
He had considered sending soone to follow that young man into the technological world, but in the end he discarded it because he couldn't find the right person for the mission.
After all, he only had five subordinates.
If he had to choose the most suitable one, it would probably be himself.
But as a captain, he couldn't simply ignore his primary mission in this magical world and go off to explore another world unrelated to his mission.
So he dropped the idea.
anwhile, Biba noticed that Louise, Tabitha, Kirche, and Chelsea had jumped onto the back of a sky-blue dragon, owned by Tabitha.
"Mr. Tucker, if Prince Wales and the others can't hold on any longer, please take action according to the situation. We can't let them be annihilated here!"
"Understood, leave it to ." Tucker nodded calmly.
When it ca to eliminating enemies en masse, even Biba, with his Gas Fruit power, wouldn't necessarily be able to outmatch him.
So, upon hearing his answer, Biba, without any further worries, spurred his griffin to follow the blue dragon.
On the other hand, the blue dragon had already reached the height of the Zero Fighter.
"Saito!!"
Inside the cabin, Hiraga Saito heard a familiar voice. He instinctively looked up and was astonished to see Louise leaping off the dragon's back without hesitation.
"Louise!" he exclaid in horror.
Chelsea, who was riding the dragon, also froze. "No, don't!"
She couldn't believe that little girl was so reckless. She'd jumped in without thinking!
"Calm down." Just as Chelsea was panicking, Tabitha's calm voice brought her out of her despair.
Tabitha flicked her wand, and at the sa instant, a magical bubble enveloped Louise, slowing her fall and allowing her to float gently to the side of the fighter.
From the cockpit, Saito reached out and caught her just in ti, pulling her inside with him.
"Phew!" Chelsea let out a sigh of relief and, still not recovering from the shock, forced a smile. "Thanks, Tabitha... I had no idea magic could do sothing like that."
"I'm just helping my friends," Tabitha replied calmly. "And, by the way, your ability to transform is also amazing to ."
Inside the Zero Fighter, Saito glared at Louise with a mixture of fury and concern. "What the hell do you think you're doing, idiot?! That was incredibly dangerous!"
"You're the idiot!" Louise retorted with equal intensity. "You always do whatever you want without consulting !"
At the sa ti the two moons in the sky had completely eclipsed the sun.
"Why did you do that?" Saito asked, looking helplessly at Louise, whose face was filled with anger.
"Because you were in danger! How could you expect to just stand by and do nothing?" Louise exclaid, her cheeks flushed and her eyes brimming with tears.
Their gazes t with an intensity that made Saito's heart race. He gently caressed Louise's cheek with his left hand and whispered her na.
For a mont, the cabin was filled with an atmosphere charged with emotion and tenderness.
However, it seed they had both forgotten they were still on a battlefield. The fire dragon riders of the Reconquista wouldn't allow them the luxury of wasting ti on romance.
The gryphon riders of the Kingdom of Tristain had already been practically exterminated.
Therefore, the enemy focused their attention on the Zero fighter, the blue dragon, as well as Biba, who was also riding a griffin.
"Watch out, Tabitha!" Saito shouted as he watched Tabitha's dragon being surrounded by several enemies.
At the sa ti, his right hand, which glowed with white letters, gripped the control stick tightly. Maneuvering with astonishing dexterity, he avoided every single flare and gust of wind that was directed at him.
This was his special ability as Gandálfr, the Left Hand of God.
Any weapon he touched, regardless of whether he had used it before or not, beca an extension of his own body, allowing him to instantly master it with impressive skill.
On the other hand, Biba watched with an imperturbable expression as the fire dragon riders approached at full speed.
He didn't really want to bother fighting, but if soone was in such a hurry to die, then he had no choice but to grant them that wish.
He raised his hand and waved it at the three flas hurtling toward him.
In an instant, those columns of fire scattered as if they had collided with an invisible wind, exploding in the air about five ters away.
"Wind magic without a wand?!"
"Watch out, he's an elite mage!" shouted one of the dragon riders, warning his companions.
Having been mistakenly identified as an elite mage, the equivalent of a strategic weapon for any kingdom, Biba beca the enemy's pri target. As a result, more and more fire dragon riders gathered around him.
"Okay, let's play for a while~" Biba said with a slight smile, not showing the slightest concern. He didn't even consider using the power of the Gas Fruit.
With his left hand holding the reins of his griffin, he displayed a skill that far surpassed that of any experienced rider, thanks to his mastery of Kenbunshoku Haki.
Like a butterfly dancing among flowers, he effortlessly dodged the torrents of fire, blasts of water, and whirlwinds attacking him from all directions. His graceful maneuver astonished the fire dragon riders, who watched in disbelief.
They couldn't understand how their target was able to avoid each of their attacks, despite how tight their offensive was.
However, a piercing scream echoed across the battlefield, followed by the wail of a wounded dragon. It was then that the dragon riders realized: Biba had begun his counterattack!
"What happened?"
"Did anyone see how he attacked!"
"No!"
The dragon riders' faces paled as they saw one of their comrades fall.
And before they could react, another rider fell from his mount. A hole had appeared in his forehead, piercing his helt like paper, offering no resistance whatsoever.
At the sa instant, his dragon also succumbed. An invisible force pierced its head, causing hot blood to spurt from the hole. He barely had ti to let out a pitiful moan before losing control and collapsing in the air.
What followed was a massacre...
Amid the crossfire of elental attacks, a griffin streaked through the sky with fluid movents, dodging with inhuman dexterity. Even when it seed impossible to avoid an impact, an invisible barrier would intervene at the last second, blocking the attacks.
anwhile, every ti Biba raised his index finger and pointed at a dragon rider, a grueso bullet wound opened up in his victim's forehead.
So tried to dodge, but it was useless. Every shot from his finger was accurate, unerring. No matter how hard they tried to flee, if they were in his line of sight, they were dood.
Panic spread rapidly through the enemy ranks.
Within minutes, the battle had turned into a hunt. Biba, mounted on his griffon, chased the terrified dragon riders as if he were just playing.
From the back of the blue dragon, Tabitha, Kirche, and Chelsea watched the scene in awe and horror.
"That's not magic..." Tabitha muttered with a frown, unconsciously gripping her wand. "I don't feel the mana flow at all."
"It's not magic? Then what the hell is it!" Kirche was pale. "This is terrifying! We can't even see what's killing them!"
Minutes ago, she had been dazzled by Biba's appearance and bearing, but now, all she felt was uncontrollable fear.
"It must be Shigan..." Chelsea replied, still surprised. "It's a martial art that surpasses the limits of the human body. But I've never heard of Shigan being able to kill from a distance..."
[Buzz!]
Just then, a white flash, as bright as the sun, lit up the sky.
