With a swift motion, he broke free from Shiki’s control and flashed right in front of Teach, who was about to plumt into freefall. His massive talons clamped down on Teach’s body, razor-sharp claws sinking deep into his flesh.
"GYAAAAAAAH! IT HURTS! WHAT THE HELL DID THAT BASTARD DO TO ?! WHY DOES IT HURT SO MUCH?!"
Teach’s screams should have been grating, but to the Whitebeard Pirates, they were like music to their ears.
Why is this bastard here?!
They glanced downward—
Vir was already looking up at them.
With a smirk, he pressed two fingers to his temple and flicked them outward in a casual salute.
The ssage was clear:

Seeing Vir’s faintly amused expression, the Whitebeard Pirates felt an indescribable emotion welling up inside them.

This guy, this absolute bastard through and through, had helped them again.

It made every single Whitebeard Pirate feel sothing they couldn’t quite put into words.

A sudden voice bood right next to Marco’s ear, startling him.
Seeing the Marines below already preparing to move against Vir, Marco quickly spat out:
"Yamato recruited him! The doctor didn’t agree to join you, but he promised free treatnt for your top brass! If any of you get hurt, he’ll co heal you for free!"
Kaido paused.
’Huh? Free treatnt for the top brass?’
’What kind of bullshit is that? How’s that any different from joining?!’
’If I wanted him in my crew, it wouldn’t be to heal those worthless underlings!’
Still, Kaido was skeptical. He didn’t know Marco well, and taking his word for it was risky.
"Yamato! Is this true?!"
Kaido turned to his daughter, suspicion in his voice.
Yamato glanced at Marco, who was subtly—very subtly—gesturing at her like a bad stage actor.
She had no choice but to nod.
Seeing this, Kaido’s face slowly twisted into a gleeful grin.
"HAHAHAHA! GOOD! THAT’S MY DAUGHTER! YOU DID WELL!"
"A doctor this strong?! PERFECT! HAHAHAHA!"
But as he laughed, his expression darkened.
Then—
*WHOOSH!*
He vanished.
Yamato turned to Marco, panic in her eyes.
"Marco! How could you lie like that?! If he finds out it’s fake, he’ll kill Vir!"
Marco just smirked.
"Relax. That bastard’s probably gonna thank us for this."
Everyone stared at him, baffled.
Only Robin, standing nearby, nodded in quiet agreent...
Down below, Vir was just about to collect Whitebeard’s body when—
*BOOM!*
Bullet landed in front of him.
"Kid! You go ahead! I’ll cover you! HAHA! Ti to stretch my legs!"
Surveying the injured Marine officers before him, Bullet looked downright thrilled.
Vir blinked.
’Huh? What’s this big oaf doing? The first ti could’ve been a coincidence, but now he’s telling to leave again...’
’...Is he in love with or sothing?’
’I only healed him once. Is it that big a deal?’
But Vir knew that wasn’t it.
Bullet only cared about strength. Romance? Pfft. Not a chance.
So, the only explanation was that the 10% strength boost had made Bullet take a liking to him.
While pondering, Vir hoisted Whitebeard’s massive body, ready to stuff it into his dkit.
Now that it was lifeless, the dkit could store it.
Even with Bullet backing him up, he couldn’t treat Whitebeard here.
Bullet alone couldn’t hold off all those bloodthirsty Marines.
Sure, treating him here would’ve been more effective—more people ant more negative points—but it wasn’t feasible.

The terrifying dical skills this guy had displayed had shaken even him.
If Vir got away with the body, there was a real chance Whitebeard might return tomorrow!

Transforming into his Golden Buddha form, Sengoku charged forward, leading the assault.
As he closed in on Bullet, he snarled:
"If you don’t want to be locked up again, STEP ASIDE! YOU CAN’T PROTECT HIM ALONE!"
The mont the words left his mouth—

A towering figure crashed down beside Bullet.
A familiar voice followed.
"Ohhh~ What if you add to the mix?!"
The Marines took one look at the newcor—
And collectively groaned.
