anwhile, inside Impel Down.

Magellan was already rushing toward Level 6.

After descending from Level 1 and seeing the unconscious Hannyabal and the others, his expression imdiately darkened. Upon learning that Blackbeard had taken the keys and headed to Level 6, Magellan wasted no ti in pursuing him.

But by the ti he arrived...

The place was already in complete chaos.

"Zehahaha! That’s how it’s done! The winners take the keys themselves!"

Blackbeard laughed heartily.

Though Vir had forced him to "lose so weight", his strength hadn’t dropped enough for him to lose control over these prisoners. After all, these n had been locked up for years—fresh out of their cells, they weren’t necessarily a match for Blackbeard just yet.

It was the sa old crew.

Except for Shiryu.

Sanjuan Wolf, Avalo Pizarro, Vasco Shot, and Catarina Devon.

Four of them.

Still the sa four.

Having just finished off everyone in their respective cells, they were panting slightly. Seeing the keys Blackbeard had thrown on the ground, they unlocked their cell doors and stepped out.

By now, quite a few figures were already gathered outside the cells.

Jinbe, Crocodile, Byrnndi World, and Patrick Redfield.

None of them attacked Blackbeard.

Nor did they pay him much attention.

Perhaps they were sparing him out of gratitude for freeing them—for now.

After all, none of these n were exactly saints.

Except for the big blue guy...

Click—

The four newly freed prisoners stepped out.

Glancing at Blackbeard standing nearby, they sensed his strength and wisely chose not to provoke him. Instead, they silently fell in line behind him.

If they were going to betray him, it’d have to wait until they were out.

But then, the long-nosed Devon caught sight of the four other prisoners who had also been released—the ones from the solitary cells.

Her face instantly twisted in horror.

"Why the hell did he let these monsters out?! Is he insane?!"

Wait—

If they were freed...

Then what about that guy?!

A cold sweat broke out on Devon’s forehead as she whipped her head around.

But the nightmare scenario she imagined—Bullet standing right behind her—didn’t happen.

He was still sitting in his cell.

Eyes closed, doing who-knows-what.

Seeing this, Devon’s face twisted into a shit-eating grin.

She sauntered over to Bullet’s cell, laughing.

Blackbeard didn’t stop her.

He assud she had so history with Bullet.

If Bullet refused to leave, and she could convince him, their chances of escape would skyrocket.

What he didn’t know was...

She could indeed make Bullet co out.

But what he’d do afterward?

That was anyone’s guess.

"Murunfufu! Look who’s still rotting in his cell like a loser! Bullet, you gonna sit there till you turn to dust?!"

Devon stood in front of Bullet’s cell, taunting him with a sneer.

The four forr solitary prisoners watched with amusent.

"Oh? This woman’s playing with fire."

This was gonna be good.

Bullet’s beatdowns were far more satisfying than sitting in cells.

anwhile, Blackbeard nearly pissed himself.

He stumbled, tripped, and scrambled toward Devon like a man possessed.

"Stop! Don’t—!"

"Don’t ss with this guy!"

He lunged, clamping a hand over Devon’s mouth.

Then, with a panicked grin, he bowed profusely at the now-wide-awake Bullet.

"B-Big Bro Bullet! My deepest apologies! Hahaha! She’s just spouting nonsense! Doesn’t know any better!"

"Once we’re out, I’ll deliver a billion Berries to you as compensation! Just ignore her!"

Blackbeard bowed and groveled repeatedly.

Not that he cared about Devon.

But right now, he couldn’t afford to lose any fighters.

Before Bullet could respond—

"The hell?! Why are you scared of this muscle-brained idiot?! He can’t even get out! Trash deserves to be trashed!"

Devon.

Still. Talking.

Blackbeard’s smile vanished.

He slowly backed away.

Not even daring to look.

One more word, and this place was gonna explode.

Sure enough—

Bullet’s lips curled into a smile.

A brutal one.

"The hell you smiling at, huh?! Think I’m scared of you?!"

Devon, completely unhinged, kept hurling insults like she was venting years of frustration.

Too bad she picked the wrong target.

Under her ugly, beady-eyed glare, Bullet slowly stood up.

Devon opened her mouth to spew more garbage—

Then froze.

Because in Bullet’s hand...

Was a key.

"Y-You... How do you have that?! That’s—that’s not a cell key, right?!"

A sliver of hope lingered in her voice, but her eyes scread terror.

*Click*

*Thud!*

The seastone cuffs around Bullet’s wrists hit the floor.

Devon’s fear instantly morphed into laughter.

"HAHAHA! You only got one key! Without the cell key, you’re still—"

*BOOM!!*

A shockwave blasted past her ear—

Along with the indestructible seastone cell door.

Yep.

Vir had repaired it earlier.

*CRASH!*

The door smashed into the wall behind her.

But Devon couldn’t turn to look.

Because a towering figure was already right in her face.

"Don’t feel like talking anymore?"

Bullet’s deep, rumbling voice sent chills down her spine.

His grin was savage.

Eyes glowing red.

The mont he spoke, an overwhelming Conqueror’s Haki crushed Devon where she stood.

The air grew thick with pressure.

Sweat drenched her body.

She tried to lift her head to et Bullet’s gaze—

But before she could—

*WHAM!!*

A fist the size of a boulder slamd into her face.

She didn’t fly back.

Because that fist pinned her in place as it pushed her.

*CRUNCH!!*

Devon’s back splintered the wall behind her.

Blood gushed from her mouth.

She tried to beg—

Too late.

*BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!*

Fist after fist pulverized her skull.

The entire prison shook with every blow.

Bullet never stopped smiling.

A mix of madness... and sothing almost relaxed?

After forty-nine consecutive punches—

Devon’s head was pancaked into the floor.

Bullet wiped his hands.

His smile didn’t fade.

To the side, Crocodile chuckled.

Therapeutic.

Nothing beats a good, old-fashioned beatdown.

"Zehahaha! Now that that’s settled, let’s get the hell outta here!"

Blackbeard, ever the opportunist, stepped in.

Bullet didn’t resist.

He simply strode toward the exit.

"Captain... where are we going?"

Sanjuan Wolf, his massive fra trembling slightly, looked at Blackbeard with unease.

Blackbeard grinned and laid out his grand plan to his three remaining crewmates.

When they heard he could steal Whitebeard’s Devil Fruit power, they decided to stick with him—for now.

Who knew? Maybe this guy was the real deal.

"Zehahaha! Follow , and you’ll have everything you want!"

"Once we’re strong enough, we’ll hunt down that bastard Vir—the one who ruined ! I’ll make him suffer!"

Blackbeard was busy painting a bright future for his crew—

When suddenly, he bumped into sothing.

Looking up, he found Bullet staring down at him.

Smiling.

"You just said... you’re going to hunt down who?"
