C509 – Golden Silk Was Called the Emperor Fluid the Talking Dahei
A strand of golden thread instantly burrowed into the little mouse’s body. A flash of gold swept through the mouse, and it seed to undergo a remarkable tamorphosis! Shortly thereafter, the transformation was complete. The mouse erged with a glossy, sleek coat, and its plump figure was even more endearing.
Jiang Hao was taken aback by the next turn of events. The mouse settled into a squat, straightened its body, and brought its front paws together in a respectful bow. It looked utterly bewildered when it caught sight of Jiang Hao.
“That golden thread must be sothing special!” Jiang Hao quickly zeroed in on the crux of the matter. “But I wonder, does the golden thread only affect animals, or could it work on humans too?” Mulling over this, he resolved to gather more golden threads to experint with.
Jiang Hao looked skyward at the descending golden threads, summoning his Supernatural Foot Power to pursue them. Clutching a jade bottle, he darted about, snatching the golden threads as they fell. He noticed many animals eagerly chasing and capturing the threads, each undergoing their own transformations.
Yet, it seed that humans, or at least he himself, couldn’t rge with the golden threads. Jiang Hao observed the phenonon, sinking into contemplation.
Suddenly, he sensed a unique presence. Following the sensation, he saw golden threads in the sky being drawn toward a nearby overpass as if by so magnetic force. Jiang Hao’s brow furrowed. “Could there be so treasure there?”
Without a mont’s delay, he headed in that direction. As he neared and followed the flow of golden threads, he was taken aback. Beneath the overpass, a large black dog, Dahei, was sitting in an unusual pose, legs crossed, eyes shut, absorbing the golden threads from above.
A daring hypothesis sprang to Jiang Hao’s mind. “Is it practicing cultivation?” The idea seed far-fetched, even to him, but it wasn’t out of the realm of possibility. “I’ve collected enough golden threads; perhaps I should stay and watch this peculiar Dahei dog.”
With that thought, Jiang Hao concealed his presence and beca invisible, blending into his surroundings.
In Jiang Hao’s gaze, as strands of golden light wove into Dahei’s form, the dog’s body shimred with a radiant glow, and the aura he exuded grew increasingly powerful.
Ti passed, and then, abruptly, the golden filants in the sky ceased their dance.
Dahei’s body was enveloped in a swirling halo, and shortly thereafter, he stirred from his ditative state. Upon awakening, Dahei was visibly thrilled.
Yet, the next mont took Jiang Hao by complete surprise.
With an excited glance skyward, Dahei did sothing astonishing—he spoke.
“Ha! Who would have thought I, Old Black, would be blessed with such a treasure? This is the Emperor Fluid, the most sacred relic of the demon race!”
“Now, my strength is unmatched among canines. From this day forward, I am the Dog King!”
Hearing Dahei’s words, Jiang Hao felt a jolt of astonishnt.
“Emperor Fluid!”
Of course, he was well aware of its significance.
For the demon race, absorbing it ant a single night’s cultivation could rival the essence gleaned from the sun and moon over millennia.
The title of the monster race’s ultimate elixir was no hyperbole.
As Jiang Hao pondered the Emperor Fluid’s lore, Dahei was already putting his newfound power to the test.
Approaching a boulder, he struck it with a swipe of his paw, and the stone shattered instantly.
Dahei gave a satisfied nod.
Then, he proceeded to gauge his newfound speed.
