C508 – The Beast Attack Tragedy a Golden Thread Falling from the Sky

He picked it up and saw it was a ssage from a group chat on his ssaging app.
Opening the ssage, he found a video shared by a netizen nad Edward III, who had tagged everyone in the group.
The video showed a small mountain village in ruins, with dead bodies strewn everywhere. The victims had t with extrely grueso deaths, as if mauled by wild beasts.
Not a single soul had survived in the village of hundreds.
The scene was horrifying.
“Damn, is this for real?”
“Must be so kind of movie shoot, right?”
“It looks incredibly realistic! Those gory details don’t seem fake at all!”
While everyone was speculating, Edward III sent a clarifying ssage.
“This is real, captured by a backpacker who’s already alerted the police!”
“What do you guys think killed them?”
Edward III’s ssage sent a wave of shock through the group.
Jiang Hao was startled as well.
“Could it be that animals are starting to mutate?”
With this thought, he quickly called his family back in the village.
The phone was answered promptly by his Fourth Uncle.
“Fourth Uncle, is everything okay back ho?”
Fourth Uncle’s voice was panicked and hesitant.
A sense of dread filled Jiang Hao.
But then Fourth Uncle spoke, his voice tinged with unease.
“This morning, a tiger appeared in the village and attacked several households.”
“Your grandfather managed to kill it!”

It was hard to fathom—an old man in his seventies had taken down a ferocious tiger with just a few punches!
It was almost too incredible to believe!
Yet it had happened right before his eyes—how could he not believe it?
Hearing this, Jiang Hao breathed a sigh of relief.
“Fourth Uncle, how’s Grandfather?”
“He’s here, I’ll pass the phone to him in a mont!”

Moving silently, Jiang Hao descended the stairs and reached out to capture a golden thread that had settled in the courtyard. The thread seed ethereal, like mist, yet tangible as a strand of gold. He could feel an odd energy emanating from it, an energy he had sensed over the past few years.
With the system now in a dormant state, its nature remained a mystery to him.
Just then, a small mouse scurried out from under his feet, fixated on the golden thread in his grasp, its eyes reflecting a deep yearning.
Jiang Hao looked down at the curious creature in astonishnt. “Isn’t this little fellow scared of humans?” he wondered. “Or could it be drawn to the golden thread?”
A spark of inspiration struck Jiang Hao. He crouched down and extended the golden thread towards the eager little mouse.
