Chapter 307 - Participating in the Auction Du Feifei's Curiosity
Last ti I visited Antique Street to hunt for bargains, I scored a pair of Tiger Talismans that could be auctioned off. They were of no use to anyway. Plus, carrying the title of a Grandmaster's disciple in carving, I felt compelled to showcase so of my work. With that in mind, I decided to prepare sothing special.
I pondered briefly before stepping out. Over four hours later, I returned ho, weary and covered in dust. Once back, I secluded myself in my bedroom and, with a surge of excitent, retrieved a treasure from my System Space. I spent a good while admiring it before stowing it away contentedly.
After freshening up and changing clothes, it was nearly ti to head out. My treasure needed to be appraised, and arriving early was only proper. Dressed in sportswear, I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and was nearly taken aback by my own striking looks!
I inford my family and then set off in my car toward the address on the invitation. At Great Dragon Bay, in front of a riverfront villa in Tianhee City, a procession of luxury cars was neatly lined up. You might not recognize the cars, but the license plates were hard to miss. Among them, I spotted one with the coveted “8888” plate.
Upon entry, each guest's invitation was ticulously checked by staff. I presented the purple-and-gold edged invitation Jia Renjie had given . The attendant, upon seeing the color, treated with utmost reverence. It was then I noticed the hierarchy among the invitations—pure gold, platinum, and the purple-and-gold one I held.
Du Feifei was dressed in a form-fitting qipao adorned with blue and white porcelain patterns, her stunning figure on full display, making her the focus of the room. As co-host of the auction, she was busy welcoming VIPs. However, she caught sight of the purple-gold invitation in my hand and my sportswear, which stood out against the backdrop of the event. Her curiosity piqued, she excused herself from the group of genteel n and intercepted a hostess heading my way.
Upon spotting Du Feifei, the greeter imdiately greeted her with respect.
“Miss!”
Du Feifei spoke up.
“Please attend to the other guests. I'll take care of this distinguished visitor myself!”
The receptionist's eyes briefly betrayed her disappointnt, but she couldn't very well refuse.
“Yes, Miss!”
With that, Du Feifei headed straight for Jiang Hao.
Next to Jiang Hao, Du Feifei's curiosity piqued as she took in the sight of the young boy clad in sportswear.
She hadn't expected that at such a formal event, the boy would don such casual attire.
And yet, it was this very boy who possessed a purple-gold Supre Invitation Card, sparking her imnse interest.
”Sir, I am your dedicated greeter. How may I assist you?”
Jiang Hao glanced at the striking young woman, her delicate beauty taking him aback.
But having Soong Wan, a woman of unparalleled grace, as his girlfriend, Jiang Hao remained composed.
“Hello!”
“Actually, I do need so help.
I've brought a few items to submit for the auction. Could you tell where the appraisal area is?”
Jiang Hao inquired sincerely.
Du Feifei's curiosity was piqued.
“What could he have brought?” she wondered.
