C158 – Intentionally Borrowing a Knife to Kill Soone
“It’s all Jiang Hao’s fault!”
“I was supposed to be the center of attention, the star of the show!”
Lee Xuan’s inner voice roared with fury.
“Bang!”
In a fit of anger, Lee Xuan slamd the cup down on the table!
The sudden noise startled everyone, causing them to turn and look his way.
Caught in their gaze, Lee Xuan cowered, forcing a smile while he quickly apologized.
“My bad, my bad!”
“I guess I’ve had a bit too much to drink!”
“Carry on, folks. I just need to hit the restroom!”
Saying this, Lee Xuan staggered toward the exit.
Little Fat, standing by Jiang Hao, was quick on the uptake.
He leaned in and whispered to Jiang Hao,
“Lee Xuan is green with envy over you!”
“He was supposed to be the main attraction at this party!”
Jiang Hao just smiled at the comnt, clearly unbothered.
“Let him be. I’m going to raise another toast to everyone!”

Outside, Lee Xuan overheard Jiang Hao’s words and glared back at him with loathing before turning to leave.
As Lee Xuan descended the stairs and neared the exit, a voice caught his attention.
“Hey! Isn’t that Young Master Li?”
Puzzled, Lee Xuan turned toward the source of the voice.
A young man in a suit, cigarette dangling from his lips, was eyeing Jiang Hao with a half-lidded gaze.
Despite the scar marring his face, he had an air of success about him.
Behind him stood eight young n dressed just like him, in light blue shirts and trousers.
Emblazoned on their shirt pockets was a prominent thumb-sized “Liu.”
Upon seeing this group, a sly smile crept across Liu Xuan’s brooding face, and he approached them.
“Team Leader Sun, what brings you here?”
The leader, cigarette in mouth, replied,
“Just treating the boys to a little culinary upgrade!”
Sensing sothing amiss, Team Leader Sun probed further,
“Young Master Li, you seem out of sorts. Has soone crossed you? Need us to handle it?”
At that, Lee Xuan’s eyes sparkled with an idea.
“Perhaps I could pay Sun Qi to settle the score for .”
Moreover, Sun Qi was ruthless and had a fierce reputation, not to ntion he was a master of Taekwondo.
Jiang Hao knew how to handle himself in a fight, but standing up to a Taekwondo master like Sun Qi? That was another question entirely.
This realization set Lee Xuan’s thoughts racing.
“Group Leader Sun, let’s chat while we walk,” he suggested.
With that, Lee Xuan took Sun Qi by the arm and led him upstairs.

Upstairs, Jiang Hao and his friends were enjoying their drinks when Lee Xuan burst in, abruptly halting the rrint.
“Hold on, everyone, just hold on!”
In that mont, a sea of bewildered eyes turned toward Lee Xuan.
Wearing a grin, Lee Xuan t their gazes, and then shot Jiang Hao a look that was anything but friendly.
“I’d like to introduce a few friends to you all!”
“Let’s give them a warm welco!”
He finished his announcent and, looking toward the door, started clapping enthusiastically.
At his words, confusion spread across the faces in the room. So people were visibly upset, and the murmuring began to swell.
“What’s Lee Xuan up to now?”
“Who are they? Today is our class reunion, why do we have to welco his friends?”
“Exactly, what’s he trying to pull?”

The grumbles and complaints ca from all corners.
Jiang Hao watched Lee Xuan with a mix of irritation and curiosity. This was their class dinner, not Lee Xuan’s personal party.
Yet, he didn’t intervene.
He was curious to see what Lee Xuan was up to this ti.
