One Click Billionaire Chapter 81: Investigation

Adam ca to Andrew with a look of worry on his face. He said to him "What’s the matter Andrew?" He could see the tension in his friend’s posture.

Andrew looked at Adam his own expression grim. "It’s Logan’s phone," he said. Logan was the public face of their bank the actor they had hired to be the owner. If he was in trouble then they were all in trouble.

Then Logan’s panicked voice ca crackling from Andrew’s phone again. "Sir they made sit for a long ti and investigated ," he said his words tumbling over each other.

"They interrogated for hours. They kept asking especially about how I gathered so much money and such a large amount to start the bank. Although I followed the plan you told exactly. I stuck to the story. But still those people were adamant that they could find so mistake in sohow. They were looking for any small crack in the story."

Hearing this Andrew was very surprised. This was happening much faster than they had anticipated. Adam who was standing on the side was also listening to all these things from the phone’s speaker. He knew this was a direct attack.

Then Adam took the phone from Andrew’s hand. His movents were calm and decisive. He spoke into the phone his voice clear. "Logan can you tell their nas?" he asked. Hearing this Logan was very surprised to hear a new voice. But he listened to Adam’s command. He knew this must be the real person in charge. He told him all the nas of the investigators he could rember.

Adam listened carefully morizing each na. Then he looked at Andrew and gave him a new set of orders. "You go and get Smith out of the bank right now," he said.

"And tell him not to co back to the bank for so ti. And I want you to alert everyone there. Tell them to be careful. And rember that you should not co into their sight either. You need to disappear for a while." Hearing this Andrew nodded his head.

He understood the seriousness of the situation. He took his phone back from Adam and quickly left from there moving with a sense of purpose.

As soon as Adam closed and locked the gate of his apartnt he imdiately opened the One-Click Billionaire app on his own phone.

He glanced at his balance. He now had about thirty trillion dollars. But Adam’s attention was not on the money. His focus was entirely on the nas Logan had ntioned.

Logan had told him their nas. Investigator One Investigator Two Investigator Three and so on. Adam took all their nas and their occupations. He began to cross-reference them with the incident that had just happened.

He entered all the nas Logan had given him into the spy section of the One-Click Billionaire app.

After a few monts detailed reports of all those people started appearing one by one in front of Adam. He sat in his quiet apartnt and started reading the reports of those people on his phone.

He was very surprised when he found out the truth.

Seventy to eighty percent of the people present in that raid on Logan’s house were corrupt governnt officers. They all had a history of taking bribes and bending the rules for the right price.

Seeing this Adam was very surprised. His attention shifted from his mobile screen. He started thinking deeply about the situation. He thought to himself. So corrupt governnt agency people are targeting our bank.

The most obvious reason is because our bank is gaining popularity very fast. But Adam did not fully understand this. Although there was a point in Adam’s thinking the logic felt incomplete.

He did not think that the whole reason for the raid was just the popularity of the bank. There had to be soone else behind this. Soone pulling the strings.

But Adam could not find out who it was by writing a simple question directly into the spy section. He would have to find so extra information first so concrete lead to follow.

Even if Adam had entered in the spy section a general question like "who is the enemy of my bank" then both the spy and recruit options would have found those people and given him a list.

But Adam had already tested this thod before. And he had gotten a list with a large number of people whom he did not even know.

The list even included so common people who lived in other provinces and had no connection to his business. The system was powerful but it was not a mind reader.

It needed specific data to produce specific results. That is why Adam did not take much help from the recruit section until he had extra information. After entering that extra information he could perform a much better and more targeted search.

Adam knew this much for sure. Those investigators had taken their orders from soone higher up. But Adam was also quite sure that his own governnt could not be the one going after them.

The order had to have co from sowhere else. At this point Adam had a strong suspicion that the Empire was involved.

Because even before this many successful businesses in his country had been mysteriously shut down right as they were beginning to grow.

Although this idea kept flying around everywhere in the form of a conspiracy theory there had never been any solid evidence to prove it.

The scene shifts.

We see Andrew. He goes straight inside the Shining Star Bank. The bank is still crowded with people. After going inside the bank he looks for Smith.

But he finds out that Smith is still at school. And he has not yet co to the bank. Seeing this Andrew imdiately takes out his phone to call Smith. But then he realizes that Smith would probably not take his mobile phone with him inside the school. It was against the school’s rules. Then he hangs up his call.
