Upon thinking this, Fang Ze’s mind spun rapidly, and he felt that this truly was a good idea.
After all, no matter how strong Fang Ze may be, he’s still just one person, and he cannot manage such a large Eastern Administrative Region by himself; he always needs so helpers.
And at last week’s Administrative Region eting, Fang Ze also discovered the attitude of these high-level figures towards him: they neither oppose nor support him.
They know they cannot resist Fang Ze, but they also know Fang Ze needs them to manage the Eastern Administrative Region well. Thus, guided by the highest levels of the Federation, while they accepted Fang Ze as the Uncrowned King of the Eastern Region, they didn’t really care:
If Fang Ze doesn’t issue commands, they do their own thing, and if he does issue orders... they listen and act but only perfunctorily, not seriously. This was apparent after Fang Ze secluded himself for a week; none of these individuals even sought his approval.
After realizing this situation, Fang Ze found it rather vexing. Because like this, although he is the Uncrowned King of the Eastern Administrative Region, he remains more of a symbolic figure and cannot fully implent his political directives.
But now that he discovered these old foxes were not devoid of desires and had their personal agendas, Fang Ze imdiately felt this was a great breakthrough point.
If he could exploit this breakthrough point, then perhaps he would no longer be a lone figure in the Eastern Administrative Region. Moreover, once this breakthrough is effective in the Eastern Administrative Region, once he arrives at the Federation’s core, he can quickly garner a large group of mid-to-high level forces, allowing him to truly possess rights matching his power and position.
This would be a trendous help to Fang Ze’s path to the True God or, alternatively, the path of the Venerable.
However... Fang Ze also knew these people were old foxes and not easy to deal with. Thus, he shouldn’t be too direct but rather employ a strategy of attack by retreating, enduring them...
Thinking this, Fang Ze’s mind was instantly settled on a plan.
So, he smiled and patted Black Bull on the shoulder, then looked at the high-level figures eagerly watching him and said, "All of you council mbers are so anxious to see ; I trust there’s urgent business."
"But apologies, I felt inspired a couple of days ago, just broke through to the Absolute Pinnacle realm, and am sowhat unable to attend to official duties temporarily."
"Hence, you may return first and decide matters for yourselves in each departnt and state. If there are issues that truly require consulting , you can co later."
At this point, Fang Ze looked at Black Shark and said, "As for Black Minister, Black Bull ntioned you’ve been waiting for several days, so your matter seems urgent; why don’t you co and report to now."
After speaking, Fang Ze swept his gaze over everyone present, then turned around and walked towards his room.
Fang Ze’s simple conversations imdiately clearly expressed his attitude:
1. You guessed right, I did indeed ascend to the Absolute Pinnacle. Moreover, I also possess a special thod for upgrading.
2. I can see through your hidden agendas and know you aren’t truly here for business, so I’m lazy to entertain you. You’ve all been handling your work, so continue managing it yourselves. Stop using this excuse to probe for information.
3. If you think it over and genuinely wish to support or have actual official matters, I’m willing to chat with you. After all, I am now the Acting Chairperson, your superior.
Those present were astute, so just a quick thought and they knew the hidden anings in Fang Ze’s speech.
For a mont, they hesitated.
Honestly, everyone present were notable figures within the Administrative Region, mostly from Fang Ze’s father’s generation, even his grandfather’s generation. Even the younger batch was a decade older than Fang Ze.
When Fang Ze, at a young age, suddenly beca their superior, there was jealousy and resentnt within them. But due to Fang Ze’s strength and the double suppression from the Federation’s core, they could only bury these feelings within. Their behavior showed non-cooperation and neither support nor opposition.
And this ti they ca to see Fang Ze with curiosity and exploration, without foreseeing this eting would confront them with an important choice.
So for a mont, these council mbers furrowed their brows, starting to ponder what decision they should actually make.
Gradually, so council mbers smiled and nodded at Fang Ze before turning to leave; those abandoning this opportunity were mostly middle-aged, vigorous council mbers. They were not that eager for the Absolute Pinnacle realm and don’t want to pledge allegiance to Fang Ze over a simple breakthrough opportunity.
However... more council mbers were of older age. They have been stuck at the Ascension stage for an extrely long ti, so even reaching the Ascension stage when the Federation was established, and fifty to sixty years later, they still haven’t t the requirents to ascend to the Absolute Pinnacle, so when a chance to help them reach the Absolute Pinnacle presented itself, they couldn’t wait any longer.
Thus... soon, the first council mber who couldn’t hold back appeared.
He was an old council mber with a face full of wrinkles and gray hair, clearly advanced in years. He stepped forward and called out to Fang Ze, "Chairperson Fang."
His address to Fang Ze was incredibly respectful, completely different from his expressionless response to Fang Ze’s questions in the eting room a week ago.
