Blue Star.
Star Shining Federation.
A dical institution equipped with all the top-tier devices.
A dozen doctors in white coats were discussing sothing.
At that mont, a ringing sounded.
As one of the white-haired elderly n picked up the call, an excited shout soon ca through, "He’s awake! Lord William, the patient nad Simon is awake!"
"Simon!?"
William was taken aback and quickly realized that this was the very patient they had all been discussing.
He imdiately stood up, "I’ll be right there."
...
An hour later.
In a dical room filled with various top-tier instrunts, a dozen people had gathered around this patient nad "Simon."
Among these people were not only top specialists from various fields but also the person in charge of the Apocalypse Project Team Harryman and others like Denis.
Because this "Simon" wasn’t just anyone, he was the sole survivor who had succeeded in the trial of Group Twelve of the Apocalypse Project a few days ago and had lived.
Of his quadruplet brothers, all had already perished.
Even the third brother, who had been in a vegetative state, had his brain stop all activity that morning.
In such a situation, this suspected sole survivor, who had brought information from an otherworld, naturally beca extrely important.
At this mont, under the guidance of an expert proficient in psychological dicine and hypnosis, Simon, with a sowhat foggy consciousness, was describing sothing.
"During the experint, my mind resonated with that of a human... or rather, I entered his mind and saw the mories in his mind..."
A large amount of related material was being collected by various professionals through Simon’s descriptions.
"This person... has an Eastern facial feature... society structure similar to the 13th century... with religion, sects, and kingdoms coexisting... There are powerful beasts, cultivators..."
On hearing the word "cultivators," everyone’s spirits were lifted.
Denis urged, "Ask him if these people can extend their lives to a thousand years through continuous cultivation, to attain immortality."
Hearing Denis’s words, the expert quickly proceeded with his guidance.
Soon after, precise information spilled from Simon’s mouth, "Second Rank cultivators... can live two hundred years, Fourth Rank cultivators, can live to five hundred years... Fifth Rank cultivators, can live over a thousand years..."
"Second Rank can live two hundred years!? Fifth Rank... can live over a thousand years!?"
Even though they had heard this information before, the likes of Denis, Harryman, and others still found their breathing becoming sowhat hurried.
"We need more detailed information!"
...
The next day.
Outside a conference room of the Star Shining Federation, unlike the ones regularly seen on television.
Harryman and Denis, dressed formally, were waiting for sothing with sowhat somber expressions.
Before long, a woman dressed as a secretary ca out, greeted them, and they quickly entered the conference room.
By that ti, quite a few people were already waiting inside the room.
They were each flipping through the material.
On the big screen, simulation images were also being displayed.
"Longevity World! That’s what we’ve nad that world! Because in that world, we can obtain a much longer life!"
The Deputy Head of the Apocalypse Project Team, Lao Keren, was introducing to the crowd, "According to the information we’ve obtained as well as cross-verifying with the projection of the world that’s growing clearer above our heads, the success of the experint is over ninety percent. It’s very likely that in that experint, subject zero-six-four truly achieved ntal resonance with a human being from that world, shared mories with one another, and through peeping into his mory, saw the foundational structure of that world..."
Harryman and Denis were listening in on the sidelines.
From ti to ti, Harryman’s gaze would drift towards the few people at the very front of the eting room.
Council of Senators Jonas, Vice President Robert, and President Edward...
These individuals had already beco the most powerful entities within the Star Shining Federation.
Reaching this point, Harryman had qualified to compete for the title of the greatest scientist of the century. History would rember his discoveries and inscribe his na into volus upon volus of books.
"This is the information we’ve obtained from subject Zero Six Four. The cultivation in that world is divided into five major ranks, with each major rank having three sub-tiers. The first rank is attainable by anyone in that world willing to devote themselves to cultivation; its nature is similar to our country’s free education system. Even though so might be eliminated at the late stage of the second rank, it is not difficult for soone of humble origin to reach this rank if their family is well-off and they have guidance from a renowned teacher. To compare, it is roughly equivalent to a master’s degree level."
Lao Keren said with a smile, "This level of difficulty shouldn’t even make any of us scoff, and yet, achieving such a seemingly simple goal would yield a lifespan increase of a full two hundred years! Reaching the late stage of the second rank grants two hundred years of life!"
As he spoke, his expression turned sowhat excited, "Think about it, gentlen, if all of us could live to be two hundred years old, the imnse benefits it would bring to our entire society; it would be a giant leap for human civilization, and a major stride for the world. And we are the navigators and guides for the direction in which civilization and the world are progressing!"
His words naturally stirred the hearts of the important figures with high authority.
To them, money was just numbers.
The only thing that could attract them now was a long life.
They wanted this wonderful life to continue indefinitely.
And now, that world had given them hope.
"The late stage of the second rank represents a hope that nearly everyone can achieve. Although extending life by five hundred years may be difficult, I believe that with our current advantages, achieving this goal is not very difficult. Even the fifth rank, to live long and see far, to reside in this world for a thousand years, is entirely feasible, especially considering that, seated here today, are the world’s most elite!"
Lao Keren’s passionate voice echoed in the eting room.
"Just wait a mont, we must first understand the specific dangers of that world—an accurate assessnt, given that we are making contact with a new world. Such contact might bring about new developnts that could catapult human civilization into an era of ascension, but could equally bring about fatal dangers."
The Minister of Defense spoke, "After all, many movies and books issue such warnings, and though humanity erges victorious in them, we are well-aware that victory is not always on our side."
"You make a sound point, but while that world certainly has dangers, they are entirely within controllable limits."
Lao Keren gave a slight smile and turned his gaze towards Denis, "This point has been covered in the materials we’ve provided for you all. Now, I invite Mr. Denis to explain in person."
Denis nodded at him and took the stage.
"Ladies and gentlen."
After exchanging pleasantries with the dignitaries present, he went straight to the point, "I have thoroughly studied the social structure of that world. Their societal structure bears great similarity to those of the oceanic nations of Da Jin Country, Yellow Dragon Country, Central Earth Country, and Fengye Country. It is a feudal and backward era. The rulers strictly blockade cultivation resources and cultivation texts to ensure their dominance..."
He relayed the structure of that world quickly, providing the bigwigs with an overview of that world.
As he moved towards the end of his explanation, he focused on the main topic, "The rulers of that world currently are various sects. The strongest among these sects are the Holy Lands which possess cultivators at the late stage of the fourth stage and Grotto Heavens which have fifth stage cultivators. They refer to these stage cultivators as Immortals..."
Having finished, he added, "Whether there’s so link, I am not sure, but the legends of immortals seem to have existed in Da Jin Country, Yellow Dragon Country, Central Earth Country, and Fengye Country too. We have already dispatched people to investigate. The results we have obtained are between pages one hundred sixty-four and one hundred eighty-two. Ladies and gentlen, you might find it worthwhile to take a look when you have ti. Perhaps the two worlds had contact in much older tis."
The audience listened, then looked down to flip through the materials.
"However, whether they are terrestrial immortals referred to as Earthly True Immortals or those known as True Immortals, their power is extrely limited, manifesting as skills such as the Thousand-mile Eye, Sharp-Hearing Ear, and riding on clouds... Based on the descriptions from the coastal nations about immortals, and combined with the data on immortals from Simon’s mories, they may possess not insignificant strength, sufficient to maintain control over a vast feudal kingdom, even match tens of thousands, or even a hundred thousand soldiers of a feudal army, but..."
Denis’s lips curled into a faint smile, "These so-called immortals, in the face of our fleets, tanks, and fighter jets that form a steel torrent, would undoubtedly be crushed into dust without a shadow of a doubt!"
"Our military strength will be superior to theirs? If a conflict arises, we can prevail?"
Said Council of Senators Jonas.
"To put it without exaggeration, just our Star Shining Federation alone is capable of taking on that world! Our military might against theirs is akin to a cross-ti and space assault!"
Denis spoke with full confidence, "We can then consolidate the resources of that world through conquest, and proceed to systematically and industrially cultivate a multitude of immortals. This would usher our entire civilization into an era where life spans thousands of years! And at this mont, we, all of us present, are the pioneers, the trailblazers of this era!"
His words inevitably led to a ripple of whispers and discussions among the crowd.
After a while, it seed a consensus was reached, and all eyes fell upon President Edward, their faces brimming with smiles and expectation.
"What are your plans?"
Edward inquired.
"Simon has not only uncovered relevant information from the mories of that human but also acquired a special technology."
Harryman stepped forward to take up the explanation, his eyes gleaming with excitent, "A technology that can change the world, transform the future."
