Jimmy entered Mrs. Mason's office: "Mrs. Mason, we have a big problem here, Agent Peter Bullock from the white-collar division and his wife Elizabeth have been kidnapped."

Mrs. Mason frowned, "When did this happen? Why wasn't there any notification for a news blackout?"

Jimmy sighed, "You know, Hughes retired, and there's no head for the field departnt now. I heard about it because I had been in Peter's team for half a year, and it was Jones who called to inform ."

Mrs. Mason: "So what are you going to do now?"

Jimmy: "I can't just sit by, I need to go out and investigate so information."

Mrs. Mason: "Do you need our help?"

Jimmy: "It's not clear yet, but I think at the very least we need to ensure the news blackout. Also, I might need a bit more ti."

Mrs. Mason: "Go ahead. Also, please call Isabel for ."

Jimmy nodded, "Thank you, Mrs. Mason."

Jimmy left Mrs. Mason's office, found Isabel first to ask her to see Mrs. Mason, then went back to Jones, made a stack of copies of Nate and Penny's photo files, took the files, and left the office, driving towards Brooklyn.

While driving, he called Ruiz to confirm which gang controlled the Flackbush in Brooklyn. It wasn't because Jimmy was being shady, but really, in places like used car dealerships, is there any chance they're not under soone's protection?

Ruiz wasn't aware that Peter had been kidnapped, so he found it a bit odd when Jimmy called him, but after Jimmy explained the reason, he imdiately arranged for people to investigate the information.

Even though Ruiz and Peter didn't always get along, it was mostly because of Neil Cavrey.

Ruiz was in charge of the organized cri project, and he genuinely had little goodwill towards criminals, having seen those who were either small-ti or heinous criminals, with few in between.

Ruiz had no objections to using criminals as assistants and informants in cases, but allowing a criminal to beco an official FBI consultant and work in the FBI office was sothing he couldn't accept, and for this point, quite a few people in the bureau had their reservations.

However, with Neil's assistance, Peter had managed to elevate their group's case solve rate to over 80%, far surpassing that of other teams, and this was undeniable. Not only in the Manhattan office, but people at headquarters and other branches were also interested in their solve rate.

Now, with Peter and his wife being kidnapped, this wasn't the ti to hold grudges. When Jimmy reached his destination, Ruiz's information also arrived, but he needed Jimmy to wait there as Ruiz would bring people over to investigate together with him.

Ruiz brought two people along, and after eting with Jimmy, directly took him to a restaurant, approaching the front desk and saying: "FBI, I'm looking for Iron Hand Moratti."

The receptionist's eyes widened as she looked at the four n in suits before her, and she shook her head vigorously, "I don't know who you're talking about."

Ruiz didn't waste any more words, imdiately taking out his phone and dialing a series of numbers, "Moratti, this is Ruiz from the FBI, I'm in your restaurant, you have ten minutes to get here... don't bullshit, I know where you live."

After hanging up, Ruiz directly led Jimmy and the others to sit by the window, "A latte, please."

About fifteen minutes later, a bald white man walked in, "Which one of you is Ruiz?"

Ruiz turned his head to look at him, "Sit down, I'm Ruiz."

Moratti: "Okay, I'm here, how can I help you?"

Ruiz: "A car dealership of yours received a car this morning that belongs to us, and its owner was kidnapped. Now, I need you to find the person who drove it over to sell it, where they got the car from, and when they got it."

Kidnapping, an FBI car—these keywords made Moratti very nervous, and he took a deep breath: "Was it our people who did this?"

Ruiz: "We can't rule out any suspects just yet. You don't plan on running, do you? Go check, I need to know what's going on."

Moratti: "Give the license plate number."

Ruiz reported the license plate, then got up and left the restaurant. In these kinds of investigations, the gangsters know the territory better than the FBI; they can do a more thorough job, while the FBI, as official personnel, can't do much.

Ruiz: "You guys wait here. Jimmy."

Jimmy followed Ruiz aside, and Ruiz said: "I can't stay here too long, and I'm short on manpower, and there are quite a few people that need following up over there."

Jimmy: "I understand, how's it going over there now?"

Ruiz: "So of it has already been confird, but we haven't gotten the evidence yet, we're currently investigating and following up. Regarding Peter's matter, you might need to follow up later."

Jimmy: "I understand, give Moratti's number so I can contact him later."

Ruiz nodded and directly gave Moratti's phone number, "This guy was previously with the Genovis family, then went out to start a small gang on his own, and occasionally keeps in touch with the Genovis family, which is why we haven't taken him down. Be careful, don't let him ss you around."

Jimmy chuckled, "I'll make sure he behaves. You go do your work."

Ruiz nodded, gestured a wave to the other two to get in the car, and they left.

Jimmy noted down Moratti's phone number, then returned to the restaurant where Moratti was in a corner making a call, and seeing Jimmy approach, he said a couple of words and hung up.
